When you can tweak the FFB and find that sweet spot, it’s really fun on a wheel. Another big thing is steering lock. Depending on how you want the car to drive, you should change it. I recommend a steering lock of 270 on gravel and 420 on asphalt. I use a TMX by the way.

Great review. I've been contemplating this game as it's currently on sale. I love racing games and only use a Pad so this should suit me perfectly! Thanks
Glad to see a company finally design a game with regular console players in mind. It's nice to see that it's not default setup for a steering wheel, that you can pick up a controller and play. I for one want to see more games put console players first and PC players second. This era of cross-compatibility has ruined gaming lobbies for console players and to see a company finally say "all right our console players are our loyal buyers let's cater to them first" it's kind of nice, a few other companies could take a cue from this.
I dont know but on my pc, some negatives are when it set with surround sound, the codriver voice dissapear, only work with stereo and its so annoying i cannot determine the rear wheel by its sound. The other negatives are the graphics are not as good as DR series, no differences from wrc9. The only difference is the rain and night are more frightening. But this game oddly satisfying to play especially the career mode, while theres no difference with wrc9, but the tyre management bring so much more depth to rally stages. Other than that, the physics are feels so great with gamepad.

I thought the Force Feedback in 9 was pretty good. Much better than 8. It sounds like the Force Feedback in this one is a step down? I think it would be really helpful in the review to compare how you thought it it stacked up against previous year's controls. For those of us who like the controls of 9, if this more of the same? Also, still no triple screen support? What about a more accurate FOV slider?
I thought so as well. FFB in WRC9 is the best ouf of any rally game ever. It doesn't mean it's amazing but it's very solid and way more communicative than what DR2.0 has or than RBR even with mods. I really doubt that FFB is worse in 10 as each game it became better and better so I attribute that just to personal perferences of the reviewer.
Hey Joe-Lou! Joe here! So, I think the FFB is again a step forward compared to WRC 9! As mentioned in the video there are definitely players out there who will like / love how the games handles. In my opinion it’s no way near other simulation type games and just lacks a deeper range of information to work for me. But this is an opinion and quite subjective. Can’t tell you anything about triple screen support, as I didn’t test it. But I think there was no slider for it, so I don’t think it’s in the game, but I could be wrong. The FOV sliders are still bad with no actual reference how much ° you are working with. Hope that answers your questions and I hope you liked the review anyway! Cheers Joe!
@@ErwinLiszkowicz I agree that the FFB underwent major improvements BUT you will only be able to enjoy those improvements if you adjust almost any of the sliders and find that sweet spot. @@OverTake_gg The gameplay with a steering wheel was great in wrc 9. If this is even a step upwards then I really don't understand how you can emphasize so much that you should only play this game if you want to play it with a controller basically..
Not played WRC10, but for me WRC9 was far better than DR2. The stages and tarmac physics are just so much better. I'm worried that CM will go the way of their F1 titles and make the their WRC games simcades rather than actual sims.
This is shocking.... I think we need to get some more reviews in on this one. I have seen 3 now and none from someone with a proper sim rig the other 2 were using a Dual Sense controller and a Logitech G29, the G29 guy has having issues with his wheel even in WRC 9 but is running really old hardware 4th Gen i7 and a GTX 660ti so yeah... WRC 9 was awesome with a wheel from my Thrusmaster TGT to my Simagic M10 and my spare Logitech Driving Force GT I bet WRC 10 is just as good.
I'm using Simucube 2 direct drive with Heusinkveld pedals and custom button boxes and WRC10 works great with these. The FFB is entirely superior to DR2. So is the overall driving experience. Very pleasantly surprised with WRC10 - just a real shame it doesn't have VR.

@@lethargic4301 that's unfortunate. Especially since it would make sense to expect Fanatec products to work perfectly out of box with the Fana logo slapped over the game. In fact I have a feeling the sole reason my dd experience is good, is thanks to their collaboration with Fanatec. With some other less sim-grade racing games, dd support is rather sketchy. Suppose it won't help you now, but things I changed to achieve the desired ffb: in-game turned the gain down to around 50-60, vibration fx to 30. I add friction for all games to get the more heavy, real life like feel. Having the wheel freely bounce around breaks immersion instantly for me. Are you sure there is no telemetry though? I thought I saw videos on RUclips of people driving WRC10 using motion rigs, and with triples.
