You know what I adore more than your hair advice? Your personality. You're so sassy, playful, a little rough around the edges (it's a good thing), and aren't one of those bubbly, OVERLY happy youtubers I need to mute while seeing what they're doing.
She's an extremely beautiful girl.
I mean she's cute as a button! Yes, she's a junior Vanessa Williams!
"That fluff and that puff and that bounce" Lol YASSSSSS QUEEN
I love the blow out look. It looks so healthy and thick
Taryn Edwards it seriuosly looks so healthy mine is recovering from being a straight bright ass red head for 9 months i need to try this. My poor hair is broken all over.
Finally after a month of trying this method (even with a slightly different brush & products) I had to comment!! You have totally changed my life, no joke!! No exaggeration! I am a mom and have a single restroom full-household... yet this is something that I can do that helps me throughout most of my week! My hair is corse and very difficult to style with bounce & volume. This technique has saved me. I rarely have to flat iron anymore and if i do it’s only for a touch up! Thank you! Thank you!🙌🏼😀 My hair has been healthier & people have asked if I have it styled regularly. I finally have a DIY blowout that actually works for me!
Why do I keep watching hair styling tutorials... I got a full head of dreadlocks...
Side Ponytail Girl probably for the same reason why I watch dessert videos on a diet haha
Lol 😂 love these comments
@@kryzttaladamz4617 so you can do yo hair ........... oh
😂😂😂gurl! I wore locs for 18 years. Cut em out cuz i thought they were responsible for my bald spot. 5 years later, still have the hair loss. Shoulda kept my beautiful locs..👀
But yeah. Im always watchin videos trying to figure out what to do next but yeah.. shoulda kept my locs😂
Simone Bey lol I’m saying the sense of humor is funny. With the y do I watch these vids I have dreads/ Same reason I watch dessert vids on a diet - It’s a Compliment. 🤦♀️
Please let me know what you'd like me to film next! Thanks!
Protective styling for chemically treated hair?
could you please do an updated hair growth routine?
Brittney Gray hcould you do more styling of your natural hair texture? Like days you don't have time to do it.

Sorry.my.space.bar.doesn't.work.in.YT.comments!
You are fearfully and wonderfully made! That's my favorite verse.
You're seriously so beautiful!!
Molly Mae thank you so are you 💛
What the fuck is this, your hair looks amazing
I love these videos. You inspire me. Also, not just with the hair tutorials, but I also noticed that you are put together in general with everything, and if I had one word to describe you, it would be classy.
You're hair has gotten so healthy ! I love the lightness in the hair!
Big hair and Jesus 👌🏻💁🏼
LOL. yes!
Watched quite a lot of tutorials but this by far was the best explained one in terms of gripping the brush and rolling it
I feel like I have the universe in the palm of my hands after learning how to use the round brush. Great video!
mostly-posting-comments honestly I don't know how to use it yet but intuitively I know it will feel like that haha
OMG after seeing this video the other day I decided to try a boar bristle brush instead of the ceramic brush on my own hair. I hadn't used a boar bristle brush since the early 90's when the blow dryers didn't get hot enough. My blowout came out so smooth and voluminous, so shiny, and so perfect! When using the ceramic brushes I was so afraid to overheat my hair and destroy the curl pattern that I didn't get enough moisture out and it would revert back if I got hot, and the ends would start to curl under immediately. None of that happened this time. I can't believe I went so many years thinking ceramic brushes were superior when I see now they were actually created for straighter hair textures that don't hold a curl to apply more heat. I will never use a ceramic brush on curly hair again.
Dante Velasquez what do you think about using them on wavy, frizzy hair? My hair is pretty manageable but I've been using a ceramic so now I'm intrigued (I have frizzy cuban hair lol)
My hair is 3b (I'm half Puerto Rican), and it did an amazing job of making the hair silkier than I ever got it with a ceramic brush. The bristles pull the hair so straight but give so much volume and bounce from the roundness of the brush. I'm not a big fan of the pin straight flat ironed look on myself because I like volume and bend. So I recommend it wholeheartedly! Ceramic brushes were created for straight hair that doesn't hold curl well to provide the extra heat but we, types 2 & 3 don't need it. Make sure to start with clean wet hair that is towel dried. Do not rough dry the hair because you need the water to help with the texture re-shaping. I use a combination of an alcohol-free flexible hold mousse together with a polishing serum and put that mixture all over my hair and comb it through with a wide tooth comb. Then I section and blow dry. It will take a bit of getting used to the change because the boar brush will not pull through the hair as easily as the ceramic one (which is why the boar does a better job) so take your time and make sure to pull all the moisture out of the hair. Choose a brush with lots of bristles and as close together as possible. The bristles don't have to be super stiff either. Obviously, the ibiza brush she uses here will be great but they are so expensive. I used a 3" spornette touche brush on mine and it worked wonderfully. They have them on Amazon. Good luck and let me know how it goes :-)
Wow girl thanks for this comment!! I have a spornette #923 but it is ceramic plating. I got it a few years ago thinking that ceramic was all the rave. Do you find that using BBB to blowdry takes much longer than a ceramic? Does a ceramic therefore, ruin the follicles by heating them up too much? Also that's so interesting that you use a mousse and serum prior to blowdrying. I always just blowdry my washed hair then apply oil to the ends after drying it.
I also love a voluminous look. I hate that stick straight hair that reminds me of tumblr circa 2010. No thanks. But lately I'm babying my hair so I don't even put heat on it at all :( makes me feel like my fancy pro dryer was a waste of $$$. Oh well lol. Lastly, if you're interested my mason pearson BBB has been life changing. It is awesome.
I guess I was just confused by the boar comment on it not pulling through hair as easily as the ceramic. If ceramic pulls better, wouldn't it help with curly styles more?
Yes, the ceramic plates have the potential to get hotter than you hair can stand it then ruin the curl pattern. It has happened to me in the past. The boar brushes without a ceramic or metal core will not so they will not overheat hair. The ceramic or metal core isn't necessary for curly hair because it's the bristles that do most of the work in pulling out hair straight as the heat relaxes the texture and it sets when cooled. Heat on hair isn't bad, it's just how it's done. Direct heat from metal and ceramic plates, irons, curlers, and brushes can all get way too hot. Blow dryer heat is at a much lower degree, but if you don't keep the blow dryer moving you can still burn hair. So the rule of thumb is to set the heat on wands as low as possible that it still works and keep them moving with no more than 1 or 2 passes. With the blow dryer just keep it moving and don't focus it in the same place for too long. The mousse and silicone polishers give hold, protect the hair from the heat and also aid in smoothing it to a silky texture. Blow drying or heat styling your hair without any form of protectant is a bad idea so at a minimum you should use a silicone or high heat oil like argan or grapeseed before you heat style, and then add a little more after you are done. I use Smooth N Shine hair polisher and suave professionals flexible hold curl mousse. I blend them together and apply them to towel dried hair. I find it actually is a little faster for me using the boar bristle brush, perhaps because the brush controls the hair better than the loose bristles from the thermal brushes :-)
I tried this method. I have 4b/4c hair and I didn't get these results but I did get a better, flatter blowout which made flat iron easier. Maybe my round brush technique wasn't good or maybe I have a bad blow dryer or maybe in should've did each section for a longer period of time... I don't know.Next time Im going to see how it works if I do very thin sections. That's how it always is, you try something from a RUclips video with confidence and always fail😂😂
Lariya Goodman it is trail and error. Try wrapping it with ceranwrsp and a light oil to set it
I think Ibiza hair tools has a brush series for coarser hair, the G series... I follow them on Instagram and I've seen natural 4 type hair being blown out with their brushes...Maybe give them a try
Definitely get the ibiZa brush she mentioned. They are truly incredible
@@RivyO I got the B4, the G5 and the EX2 for my roots... I ❤️❤️❤️ them... I have relaxed hair and my hair has never been shinier, softer or so voluminous... I never thought a brush could do that jejeje I don't even have to use the flat iron afterwards 😀
j4lyphe1 me too girl. I am just finished blowing my hair out now. I have the ex2 and ex 4. my hair is very curly so I’m still learning how to blow it out completely straight but same for me my hair has never looked so shiny and incredible. My life has completely changed 🥰
Remember you used to use that product in a blue tube called "Crack" on your hair? Lol you got me hip to that & how to do tousled/messy curls with a flat iron! I'm a subbie from WAYYY back when! Lol Glad to see you so active on your channel again 💚
Idk if it was intentional, but I love how you included a salvation message in the soundtrack at the end! Great way to use your platform! Your hair is beautiful btw! I hope to use this technique since I, too, am addicted to my flatiron 😩.
pretty sure it was intentional lol & good on her.
Can u please do a video on how you changed your hair routine, so it can grow so fabulous!!
I love Brittney Gray videos
I’ve been subbed to Brittney for around a month now and I seriously don’t regret it, I feel like she’s really down to earth and unlike some hair stylists she dealt interests me in all of her videos. I feel like I could watch her vids forever🤩
I loved the psalmist reference at the end of the video! Love you and love your hair! Gives that kinda 70s vibe!
I like how you have "I am fearfully and wonderfully made in the background" awesome :)
I just started using this method to dry my hair and I love how my hair is bouncy for days!
Nice results and the Word in the background is Life Thanks.
Every time I watch this vid my heart goes "Ooooh, girl! You're gorgeous!" I wanna look like this every single day cause it's perfect and healthy and shiny and I want that volume and I just looove the look!
Loving that fluff! I'm obsessed with my flat iron and slowly need to step away before I break it all off. Thanks for the tips! And loving this hair color 🙌🏽. I'd like to see tips on growing out hair, especially edges! Mines are about 2 inches shorter than the rest of my hair ☹️️🙈
Beautiful hair! And wow, a surprise cameo by Ray Comfort! What a special ministry he has! God bless you, girl 😘
Yes, I have two Ibiza brushes. They call it the bouncy brush. They really work nicely.
THIS blowdry technique was sooo helpful babeee! Loved every second of itt
Wow this turned out so good!
Im a stylist and I just didnt know how to approach a blow out on myself. I tried after watching this and for my first go, I like! I like the volume and smoothness. Usually I rely on my hot tool for the results I want, so it's nice to do something different.
This lady is a junior Vanessa Williams.
Ainsley Ameerali yesssss.
Ainsley Ameerali OMG!!! Vanessa Williams...YES!!!! That is who she reminds me of!!!! That has been driving me crazy for months now!!!!!
Wow had not thought of that! Yeah she does look like her.
I really grew fond of your videos! Your personality is really interesting and so easy to watch!
I havent even watched it yet and I know you are about to kill it lol I love the fact that you have been uploading more frequently but have not been sacrificing the quality of ur vids
i have been wanting to know how to do this for years im bouta blast it all over facebook before i even watch it ,,,,, thank you!!!!!!! lovee you channel your like the firsttttt hair vlogger i ever followed back in 2011 lol i was like 18 ..
Thank you for this. I have a similar texture and I'm so excited to try This!
This is the 1st of your vids I've seen in YEARS! You have a peace about you that was not there years ago. God bless ❤️ thanks for sharing your journey!
Wish I could do this! will be trying a blowout again, I have a bit more understanding of the technique needed after watching your video :)
Love your dramatic turns toward the camera! 😆Great results 😍
Brittney that's the best blow dry instructions I've come across. By the time I get my hair like I'll have added a few hundred views singlehandedly... But it'll be worth it!!!
I could not be without my Ibiza brushes. You are so right!!! They call it the bouncy brush is right! They clean really easy too. It's my go to..
I've never seen hair texture like your natural hair, it's so unique and beautiful 😍😍😍 thank you for this bomb tutorial!!! I have naturally very curly hair and have learned to blow it out myself for the past couple years. Is the best decision I've ever made! My hair is so much healthier now and grows a lot faster. There aren't enough tutorials online like this ❤️
yes, blowing out vs just flat ironing is soon much better for your hair
I've been waiting for a video like this for so long, thanks so much for making it.
The snap in that "so" at 4:37 was with the quickness 🤣👏
I love that her hair stays in sections. If my hair is in sections and it even gets close to touching another one, it's over. lmao
so glad you mastered doing your own!! I could never get that wrist thing down but imma try
My goodness, your hair looks so amazing! I need to try this 😫🙌
Wow Brittney the color, blow out, and bouncy curls look so Amazing. Girl you Slaaaaaaaaay!
I know this is an old video, but girl I am lovin your videos!! Have been benge watching your videos and ive learned so much!! Love your personality!! Keep up the amazing job that you do! 👌
Ibiza brushes are the BEST brushes out there :) I just got mine a few weeks ago and love it soo much!!!!! Your hair looks phenomenal :)
Yay! Can you do a video on how to retain length? I feel like my hair never grows past a certain point.
Uhhh Uhh that's a good idea; I hope she does a video on it
Haircuts, hair treatments, stimulate your scalp and just let your hair be sometimes. Find a few products that work for your hair. Create a routine if you need too.
I love the colour! 😍😍😍😎😎😎
I wish I had the patience for this lol
bernadette rogers I wish I had time for this 😞😞😞😞
I have the elechem blow dryer as well. Mine is black and copper! I love it sooo much!!
I love it! Thank you for this video. This will take so much practice but the outcome is so worth it.
I love your videos they are so informative and helpful! Love your hair girl!
Brittany: "I have faith in you!"
Me: *feels the pressure*
😋
LOVE IT - I seriously have never understood hair. I have thin, silky, dries straight as straight can be - I've even have people ask me if I straighten my hair and when I say it dries this way - they think I'm lying.....I can't seem to get any volume in my hair so I'm gonna try this and see what happens!!!
I wanna go to LA just so I can get my hair done by you 😭💕💕
I love it ! and before I try this on myself I need to get better with my air forming on Suzie! I'm in cos school so I'm trying and improving everyday! but I love how easy you made this look! its beautiful
What's less damaging? Blow drying straight or air drying and then straighting with an iron?
I think if you have perfect technique with both, the blow drying is less damaging because the temperature is way lower. But I think for the every day person, a flat iron is easier to learn so it may be less damaging for some
For me personally the flat iron is a lot more damaging than the blow dryer and the curling iron. I like to wash my hair once a week and do about 3-4 15 minute hair treatments in the shower then I condition. After I let it dry and if I’m not going anywhere I’ll apply my regular deep conditioner for moisture and leave it curly until I want to blow dry or curl it. I think the iron is more damaging simply because you have to go over your hair more than once and you’re clamping it together where as with the curling iron/wand I have I just wrap it around for a few seconds and after every wash I still have nice curls rather than a damaged hair pattern and with the blow dryer I don’t use it as often because you’re also pulling on your hair so I think it can be damaging also, but not if you do it maybe once or twice a month.
Boar bristle brushes have changed my hair world, thank you so much
love this technique. trying this tomorrow on a client! thanks for sharing.
That's looks very relaxing to blow dry, stroke and play with your hair after each section. I must try this. Thanks for the video
This was soooo helpful :) You & your hair are absolutely stunning!
Your hair is stunning. You are stunning 😊 I've learned so much hair tips from you!
YAAS !! Your hair is bomb!!👊🏽👊🏽 & highlights look great on you.
Slaying life with that hair
Love your videos and your attitude! You're slaying it!!
Yes I've gotten the brush stuck in my hair once. It was a nightmare
T Stanton thats what im scared of👀😖😀
this video was so helpful, brittney. THANK YOU!!!
have you ever used a hot air brush from sallys? its amazing! its like giving yourself a blowout but you dont have to hold the damn blow drier against the brush.
Loved the amazing transformation thank you
I love it girl! love the volume and color 💙
What a great video! Thank you so much! Watching you really brings me back to when I first discovered the beauty community on RUclips. I'm talking 2011 early 2012. That's how long I've been watching you! Remember Brittany Wins? Lol I think that was the name to ur channel haha love ya girl
Yes, Fall / Winter is arriving soon and I always have a hard time with static and keeping my hair moisturized. I've had stylist say you need a heavier serum, or gloss BUT TELL US Brit, how should we take care of our hair.
I am so happy that you made this video, I loved your blow out so much in your other video, thank you for the tutorial - it's gorgeous (and so are you!) I will be doing this soon.
Your hair looks amazing 😻. I wish I could do this to mine . I will have to practice ! I’m low key terrified of a round brush though
she makes it look so easy... !
Lol been watching you since Brittneyngray & let me tell you how many times you have came through with the tutorials 😂🤣 love you Brittney!
this came out BOMBBBB
Hey! Quick question: I have a Revlon brand blow dryer. Does the quality of a blow dryer is a necessity?? I consider myself a total newbie with it bc my hair is straight but THICK. I truly get a workout getting a salon quality blowout.
Because of my very little commitment with one, it’s why I chose to select a cheap brand for when I do choose to blow dry my hair.
However, I’d still like to know if the brand/quality of a blow dryer is important for a good blowout.
TIA 💕
the color of your hair is beautiful!
I loved this tutorial! I definitely gonna try it! But, can you do a video with tips for getting volume with a oily scalp, please? And I also think it's a good idea to do a hair brush guide for newbies, like me! love you girl!
I bought the round Ibiza brush a while back when you recommended it... it’s amazing. Do you use Ibiza’s regular hair brush, not the round? Do you know if it’s good too?
Back in the early 2000's I was just crazy for flat ironing my hair, I am mixed black mid-length, curly ethnic frizzy hair. But now that I am in my 30's Inhav r noticed my hair braking and falling more especially when I flat iron so I blow dry and it is much better for my hair. I use a boar brush and it is wonderdul. Love your video.😉
I just blow dried my hair for the 2nd time. It makes my arms tired I need a lot more practice. I remembered that you probably had a video on it thanks ily!
Your hair is AMAZING! You should be in Victoria's Secret magazine.
I'm glad I found you. Thank you & your hair looks amazing 💜
I'm really happy I found your channel, love it ☺
I found the Ibiza brushes are amazing and make a difference!
it came out beautifully!!
I've never tried this on myself but I've had one on me for a wedding and then they out it up in a bun. Sometimes i don't know what to do with my hair cause its blonde and curly on one side but like loose curly/ wavy on the other. and the back gets frizzy so easily. heeeeeeelllp! But i love you btw, and how sassy and talented you are.
I feel like after watching a 100 videos and being unable to follow any tutorial , this is *what I needed*
I love the color, the variation!
i wanted to ask- is it better to do a blow out or dry it with a blow dryer and then use a flat iron? or is it the same damage effect?
i have wavy-curly hair that used to be super damaged because of bleaching...i've cut most of my hair to a bob few days ago,and im looking for the best option when it comes to heat styling
I feel like people want to hate on others that are confident. as long as you are just confident and not cocky cause those are two different things then thats amazing. more people should be confident. she seems like she knows what she is talking about so people need to stop hating
Hey girl I was wondering if you could do a video on your professional opinion of the "no poo" method? It's been a trend on RUclips but I haven't heard about it from a professional hairstylist. I personally don't do the "no poo" thing, but just out of curiosity
I have fine hair, and the round brush just gets caught in my hair, and I actually had to cut a brush out of my hair. Too afraid to try this again, as I've been growing my hair out forever. But thank you for this, as I'm sure it will help others.
I just became a subscriber and I love your hair tutorials, I've watched some past ones and I liked this one a lot because I know I can do more for my hair while I'm growing it out and yes the cutting part I hate, I'm due for a trim, probably now going to try and stretch it to the end of March 2017. My hair is also fine and color treated.
