    1. If she was colorblind, it would've been her responsibility to notify me and I would've GLADLY dyed her hair green LOL no problem.
    2. Lipgloss is Buxom Holographic lip gloss in "Camila"
    3. Mental illness is a touchy subject- but it is not a valid reason to commit crime or terrorize others. I am a human being too and there is only so much that I can take before I... need to make a video about it as a form of venting. 😳

Brittney Gray I am colorblind and i let people know if they have to work with my hair or nails that i cannot pick my own colors. Like I am very colorblind.
So whether its clothes, hair, nails etc i tell them i cannot see the colors the way you can
I request no tacky or wild colors but help me pick. But because im colorblind i trust you (whoever is doing my hair etc.) So all i can hope is professionals arent lying. But yeah revealing my color blindness is my responsibility.
But that client from the story had full responsibility to tell you of any issues that would prevent her from making color based decisions.
She seemed ridiculous. You're nobody's counselor.

Thank you for commenting! I'm sure it is definitely a struggle being color blind! If I had a colorblind client, I would either suggest a color that most people can see OR if they would like, I'd color their hair something that only they can see which would be fine by me! But yes, unfortunately, I am not a doctor so I cannot diagnose!

thelilacghost YES! once i was originally just going to dye more blonde into my ombré and i walked out of there with green and blue hair. i don’t know how i let her talk me into it. (stylist was a very good friend) i think i’m just shy and didn’t want to upset her and opinion but looking back tbh it was my hair and now i’m back to the ombré. the green was so hard to get out and it was overall a waste of money as i didn’t even have that color in my hair for more than a year

A lot of times we can choose to stay calm. Some situations are truly stressful but other people have distorted what the word traumatized means. No offense but sometimes people just need to get a grip. A healthy dose of spending time with people who are truly suffering may help. In other words if you are a drama Queen volunteer with sick children or the homeless. It's a matter of perspective that is learned with age and experience. At a certain point you can learn to stay calm and carry on. In her case I think she flips out a lot because she gives the client too much control over her mood and her day.

    Love these stories!!
I had a client come in to tone her brass yellow hair and black roots..into something a bit more ash and less maintainable . After a 20min consultation we proceeded to do a root touch up/smudge and tone the rest for a subtle change ... I loved the end result, apparently so did she at the time, she hugged me twice saying she was so happy.
    Story short:
The next morning I wake up to five messages of her telling me to help her, saying she looked sick, (apparently everyone told her that color made her look bad) and for "proof", she sent me a BLURRY picture of her face, HER FACE with her hair in a ponytail (where I couldn't even see her damn color!), and pouted to the camera. Literally. Oh my Gosh.
    People are crazyyy.

im me I apologize if my use of the term “Crazy” felt insensitive to you; I respect Mental Illness and the field of Psychology at large, but somehow “crazy” felt like an appropriate word for my comment given all the turmoil this particular woman put Brittney through...
My comment wasn’t meant to be a diagnosis of any sort- sorry if it hit a nerve. I’m sure that woman is suffering far more than any of us can imagine, and I hope she gets the help she needs.

Honestly it seems like she just likes to get her hair done free of charge which is why she "was never happy" at any other salon..& why you later on found out that she had a lawsuit over her plastic surgery. she most likely just wanted to not pay for her plastic surgery either. what a shame..I have gotten my hair professionally done for years & I will never fail to be super nice to whoever does my hair, tip them really well, & be super understanding when they can't perform a certain service based off of the condition of my hair.

After reading so many comments saying „duh mental illness is not an excuse“, I am just going to say one thing: A lot of the time people with mental illnesses don’t realize they are behaving bad or different. Because their „normal“ is different from a healthy persons „normal.“ And you really can’t blame those people for that. You can of course be angry, don’t get me wrong, I know damn well that it’s frustrating, but I feel like a lot of you gotta understand that we generally aren’t out here to ruin anyone’s day, we just can’t help it sometimes and it’s frustrating for us too. I agree that things like not paying for a service are NEVER okay, no matter how sick you are, but just TRY to keep what I said in mind.

Karma doesn't have to get this lady, her life is miserable as it is. I have a sister like her, and she is divorced and rejected even by her own children. Every day is a struggle for her. She can't keep a job, starts trouble wherever she goes, and has ended up homeless sometimes. Even if our family tries to help, she "imagines" we have bad attitudes towards her and takes off in a huff. She is intelligent and manipulative and sly, like that woman you dealt with. You don't have to deal with that woman ever again, but she has to live with herself and a mind that she can't control. Not Karma, but God's blessing, will vindicate you for doing the right thing.

I used to work in a jewelry store but we also sold small accessories. Our store return policy was store credit only which gave a few of our customers a. hard time, but mainly everyone happily complied except one lady. One time she purchased a sun hat and tried to return it months later, tags off, no receipt, for cash! This woman became erratic and would come in periodically trying to return used items. Her craziest story was when she tried to come in on crutches and needed cash to pay for her lawyer, etc. She also made up another lie about losing her home and she needed cash to buy an apartment. Talk about a nutcase! Those people who try and push the boundaries are crazy!

I NEED MORE OF THESE STORYTIME VIDEOS!!!❤️❤️❤️😂 I’m sorry that that happened to you!! Although this story was a horrible incident, it teaches & reminds people/consumers that the people/professionals that offer/render them services, are humans too!! And that you are going to these professionals/place of business, to buy/receive something that you want/need that you don’t have/can’t do on your own so, be a little more conscious, considerate, forgiving, kind, respectful, and understanding of the fact that they can NOT offer/perform miracles!! Lastly, keep in mind that KARMA is a B**** so, do abuse your consumer rights, and ruin it for the rest of us out there!!

it's very evident this woman is a person with a mental health history. it often times takes a great deal of patience and understanding in collaborating with these people, and if someone doesn't have much experience with that, then it can be a frustrating experience. there are high rates of suicide among physicians these days, and it most often occurs within the psychiatric field. it is important for people who work with the general population or have a family/friend with a mental health history to educate themselves as much as they can on the different diagnoses and conditions.

I recently just discovered your channel & thought oh she is super cute & can teach me a thing or 2 about hair, because we are never to old to learn, & i subscribed .....but .... I just watched your crazy client stories & i cant say that it shows you in the best light ... Ive been a cosmetoligist for over 20 years & i have dealt with some really over the top people, however thats on them ... dont let them take your dignity or your humanity ... If you have to precede a comment with "im not shaming so & so for this but" its probly best not to say it ... Afterall this isnt your bestie over drinks, this is the internet & what can be misconstrued, will be misconstrued ...

My exact thoughts. I started out pretty optimistic about her but making fun of this woman's looks is just wrong and I would sure not ever be comfortable being her client. She may have been totally in the right about everything this client did wrong but she lost ALL credibility and integrity in my eyes when she mocked her as a less than human being.

Yeah I agree, I also found it super disrespectful the fact that this woman has body dysmorphia often comes with eating disorders and mental illness (I’ve had it since being young) (also you don’t see yourself as deformed just your body image changes constantly in your own eyes and your imperfections become HUGE and unforgettable) but her taking this piss out of her looks? After saying she had body dysmorphia... and then her saying she was insane because she has mental illness... super super disrespectful

  • @oodifani21
    @oodifani21 6 лет назад +23

As someone who also has body dysmorphic disorder, I understand her. NOW THAT APPLIES ONLY TO HER BEING WEIRD ABOUT HER APPERIANCE. It's really complex, but basically anyone would become frustrated af when they're trying their best to look good/normal yet everything they do just doesn't work. BUT. By my own experience it's very rare to take that frustration out on other people, - usually it's kept inside or taken out on self with self harm or something alike. Her acting all entitled and not paying sounds very weird to me, seriously nothing justifies that, but please do not think that everyone with BDD is like that. Loved the video, I hope you'll never have to deal with her again 💞💞 + I'll add, it does sound like she had other mental problems too. BDD falls under the OCD- spectrum so that would explain the brushes. Struck by lightning? I have no idea, that's really odd. But yea, next time please refrain from insulting a person's appearance. Talking about the vibe she gave you is cool of course, details are everything, but saying something like that about her physical appearance (when with BDD she most likely sees herself 100 times worse than you do) is really low. I'm not symphatizing her, what she did was just not right and I understand that you're shocked but.... You probably wouldn't call a person with physical illness that affects appearance a "goblin".. Not hating just saying.

It would be highly highly highly unlikely that a woman of her age (as the stylist in the video did imply she was very old) would go her whole life having one of the easiest to spot types of colour-blindness and not realise it/have it noticed by someone else. Assuming she was getting her hair blonde (as it would genuinely be insane for her to get it red and think it was green and that would have been mentioned in the video) it's also strange that she would think the blonde hair was green as a sign of colour-blindness, especially if that's what she would naturally see in everyone else's hair.

I'm not sure if you understand what MENTAL ILLNESS is.
