Believe it or not I've met a Land Rover that drove 120 000 miles without a single issue. And it's not an old one. Made in India and still running strong.
My local doctor in Melbourne drives a Toyota Camry. Looks like 2015 model. I asked him why he drives Toyota, he said doesn't have time to go to mechanic.
I own this exact car, (2014) same trim. I've had it for 3 years, put a hundred thousand miles on it and it literally has never given me a single problem. 10/10 I would recommend as a work vehicle/daily driver.

Please sir, am confused to make a choice between IS 250 2015 model and IS 350 2015 model. I love the two cars but am afraid of fuel economy of these cars and confused on which one to go for as i don't know the one that retain more fuel or rather the one that is preferable. I really don't know which one to go for cos am considering my pocket in buying fuel. I don't need the F sport model. Please i need an honest answer on which one to go for 🙏🙏
I’m really happy with my 2019 Camry, I got a 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine that produces 203 horsepower for when I need them. Best thing is that I can go about 520 miles on a full tank.
Also worth noting that new Toyota’s do have direct and port injection. But it will be port injection most of the time since it only uses direct injection under heavier loads and port injection under normal driving conditions.
@@mr.anonymous3103 toyota only using partial gdi is a blessing. As they keep the benifits of gdi and lessen the huge draw back of carbon build up on the valves.

Juan Barrios I bought an is350 a week before this video came out lol. The 350 is more reliable than the 250, the 250 is gasoline direct injection and the valves tend to get dirty. Sea foam needed for high mileage models.

Yup, I love my 2008 IS250 V6 RWD with the sport package. The only major thing I’ve had to deal with is the water pump at around 90,000 miles, other than that is just regular maintenance. The second generation,2006-2013, looks great and can be found for around $10,000 or less. That’s pretty cheap when you consider what you’re getting
I have a 2011 IS250 RWD with 140,000 miles. Still purrs like a kitten. All I've done is preventative maintenance with NOTHING change out yet. I have had problems with the audio system panel. I'm basically stuck using BT as the buttons glitch every time I press on one. Other than that it is a great car.

In today's world (2021) it's getting almost impossible to find naturally aspirated engines. Everything and everyone has slapped turbos on things. This really makes me appreciate used cars much more!
Scotty, I’ve absolutely loved all your videos. To be honest, I don’t look for your newest vids, but I’ve been subscribed for over a year and every time I decide to get onto RUclips, I know I learn just a little something more about my current car, how to troubleshoot small issues, and what my next car may be. Thanks for all you do!
I owned 4 car dealerships and have been in the industry for 15 years to say that this car has been my best daily driver. IS250 Fsport package (not the f sport, ...looks amazing)
Scotty tells the truth and simply speaks his mind for which you are free to like him or hate him. I recently returned from a 9 day trip to Dubai. 99.9 percent of the taxis and Uber cars in dubai are camrys and mid sized Lexuses. The I ones I utilised had mileage between 500,000-700,000 km. To me, they all seemed to be running perfectly fine which I found to be pretty amazing. I have no idea how these things can last so long in stop and go traffic that is Dubai. I guess Toyota and Lexus have some seriously talented engineers who take their work extremely seriously.
My cousin has a 2014 IS350 F-sport, has 100K miles now. Super reliable, not good in gas but super reliable. Only had to change control arm due to him hitting a big pot hole. Only oil changes.
My wife has this exact year and model. Bought a two year old used one with minimal mileage. Two years later it's still running great with just under 50k miles.
Scotty is right! I bought a mint IS 250 from CarMax. This is a dream car for me. A sporty Lexus. It's not a powerful engine, but it's plenty fast. If you wind it up it'll go fast. My main reasons for buying this car is that I loved its looks, I love the comfort and luxury, and it's extremely reliable. The paint on my car looks brand new (it's a metallic midnight blue, but it's so dark it looks black) and surprisingly enough the windshield doesn't have one single chip in it. You can also take these cars to a Toyota dealership and they can work on it far cheaper than a Lexus dealer. This gets nearly 30 miles to the gallon. I'm in love with this car!
My Lexus IS has 300k miles on it. Still runs like a champ. Don’t know when it will finally croak, but it’s never leaked any engine oil lol. It’s 💯% Scotty approved. Interior is still like new. And I bet Scotty’s dollar on that one haha.
The average 2015 Lexus IS250 on autotrader runs about $26,000. A 5 year old car for $26 grand and we're stupid? If I'm going spend that much money I want the new car smell.
@@eruditeeremite7289 Says the guy with only his worthless opinion and no proof. If it were true no one would purchase new cars anymore. While I breath deep and hold my breath you can blow me.
My 1st Lexus was a '06 IS 250 AWD. In the winter, I would try to make the car spin out, even on ice; the electronics would get the car back in line very quickly. My '18 Legacy AWD, by comparison, turning the wheel through a snow covered turn.....the car goes straight.
i own a 2016 is300, been a year and so far litterally nothing has gone wrong. its comfortable, looks sharp, and i only paid 28k canadian for it. if any of you are interested in these cars, they're fantastic. not perfect, (like the cup holders infuriate me all the time, glove box is small, etc) but as a package its one slick ride.
Hey Scotty, I know you said it’s fuel injected. But the IS250 is actually direct injected. I have a 2011 and the 250’s have a little extra maintenance because of the carbon buildup that can occur. Just a heads up for anyone looking for an IS250.
All European car are good only to lease up to 50 thousand miles after that it starts to fall apart found that out from my bmw..going to a Lexus bmw is like it said a power machine to drive but only when its new...
Larry Niles i had 1audi 3 bmw before that says your wrong. audi engine started to smoke in the middle of the road at about 100k miles my bmw had a head issue cost over 3k third one had a wheel bearing issue..my girl had a 2016 or 2017 audi that one had a major issue at 40 something k and thank god she had that special carmax insurance. After they fix it she just had to pay small deductible. As soon as it was fix we swapped it out for a lexus. My mom has a lexus I have one and my girl. None ever gave issue....german cars use to be my favorite.
The interior is bit cramped (and I'm small fella @ 177cm and bit overweight @85-95Kg's) but it's really a masterpiece on wheels. For a new car, it's extremly expensive for it's size (atleast in EU) but as used car, it's a great choice if you pick one in reasonable condition.
@Scotty, With your recommendation I bought a 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport. Have been having it for 6 months and have faced 3 issues already as follows. 1 - Mass Air Flow sensor issue. Had to cleanup including the manifold for the warning to go off. 2- Suddenly started to throw out thick white smoke and was misfirering. Had to clean all and replace one injector. 3 - The AC cannot be controlled. I slightly increased the temperature and it kept throwing out HOT AIR ONLY. The issue was with its Actuators. So… Honestly, I doubt your statement of this Lexus being the best and most reliable car ???
I have a first generation Lexus IS300. I absolutely love this car. I've had to do absolutely nothing to it except oil changes, reg. tune ups and brakes. My exhaust system partially went, so i had to replace the 2nd cat. and the muffler last year. I'm going to have to replace it soon as it has rust issues but it still runs like butter. I'm not looking forward to letting it go. I'll just have to buy another one... a 2015 might do it.
Just bought my 2014 is250 awd. I bought it because of Scotty. Picked it up for 9k and I couldn't be happier! Thank you for this awesome video and all the great information. Love this car!!!!
Got an 08 is250 awd with over 160k miles with no issues at all...bought a 16 is300 awd fsport last year and both cars is just fun to drive.. I expect both cars to last well over 250k miles with no major issues...the only major issue I had was to replace the radiator on the 08 couple of years ago. No rattling, still a smooth ride, car looks like its only a few years old even though it's a 12 year old car.:)
@@JulioCNY it had 120k miles when I got it and I bought it for 7k. It’s the All wheel drive version and I got it from a used car dealership, so it could be cheaper if you get it from a private seller or without all wheel drive.
@@joshuamclaren7529 that's a good deal 👍and is it reliable and good to drive for your first time car or second or third time car and they you recommend it ????
Owning a 2007 Lexus is 250 awd for 12 years 100k and only doing a brake job and regular maintenance, no other expenses I can agree with your assessment.
I have an 2007 IS250, and it’s amazing! Well built and never broken down once. almost 2 years now. And yes Scotty I got it used, taken care of, and cheap!
I am buying a Lexus IS 2014- love the body style and reliability of them. I am getting rid of my Audi A4 and my bmw 3 series tied of all the issues. But my a4 is a six speed I’ll miss it but want to go back to Japanese cars.
Scotty finally answered our Q's with the Lexus IS 250 🙌. I'm getting rid of my Ford Fusion and buying one ASAP 😁. Thanks Scotty, and keeping pumping out these informative car videos 🙂
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. My 2001 Toyota Avalon (V6) has 426,000 miles not only runs great, rides great, and everything works, I’ve hardly spent any money on repairs. Replaced.... Radiator Alternator O2 sensor VVT Solenoid Vapor canister Brake pads Brake rotors (front only) Quick strut assembly (4) But I’ve driven over 426,000 miles in this car. I’ve changed the transmission fluid once and timing chain once.
own an 04 rx japan built model, i’ve owned cadillac bmw honda ford mercury and toyota. my current lexus is by far my favorite car i’ve ever owned (maybe tied w my e30 cabrio) but different reasons. solid machine couldn’t be happier got 150k on the clock and still goin strong.
Thank you Scott 😊 Been having my 350FSport for 2 years now. Absolutely no promblems. N/A with the f sport intake upgrade and wheels and a bodykit with a tune I'm making 370whp. Not crazy but a bulletproof daily for years to come 😍😍 *ps I bought it for $20k with 40k miles*
@@pietrostrassmann1585 not mine. Had it for 3 years and still going. 2nd owner and got it at 40k miles for 20,000$. Currently reads 70k miles and my value is still 23,000$ 😂 Only thing I say is a problem are the wheels and axles. A small upgrade with a squared setup runs smoothly.
@@pietrostrassmann1585 I dog the hell out of this car and the only promblem I’m getting is maybe the battery is low cause I’ve noticed low voltage when running it on acc for 2 minutes minimum it’ll almost shut off. Aslong as vtt hoses go, that happened to me with my old Lexus SC300. That car was a gem, small fix and I was back in the road. Might be a Lexus thing so upgrading it wouldn’t hurt.
I have a 2014 IS 250-F Sport and still love it. As of now, I only have 52,000 miles on it. I’m hoping it’ll last me for a while with regular maintenance. My only complaint is that the front bumper is so low. I cracked it going over a dip in the road and they want around $1300 to replace the bumper.
Thanks Scotty! Once again I got a great car thanks to you. Just got a used 2015 I250 F Sport today. I had to the chance to get a 2017 !250T Fsport but passed based on the recommendation from your video. I also saved almost 7 grand for a car that was driven less than 9,000 miles a year.
The 3is 250 is indeed direct injection. They have a issue with carbon build up that can be remedied if treated early. New owners might be surprised they require premium fuel. I have a 2014 is250 92,000km. I would recommend this car 100% totally in love with it.
Pontiac vibes have Toyota engines in them. I have 200k miles on my 2008 vibe and it still runs good as new. Not one problem and haven't had to put a dime in the car.
I just bought a 2014 IS 350 AWD with 37,163 miles on it. I'm sold on Lexus! It's a beautiful sporty great handling car. 306 hp too. You can't go wrong with Lexus.

I've had my 2008 Lexus IS250 for nearly 10 years now and I couldn't be happier with it! Such a great reliable car and fun to drive too!😁👍👍
That’s exciting
i have a 2007 and it burns sm oil
I have a ‘09 and its still running strong, never had an engine or transmission problem, personally thinking. BEST LUXURY car CHEAP car out their 🔥🔥
Marie Martinez I have an 09 with 118,000 miles and it runs perfectly!
Is is RWD or AWD? I'm looking to get one but seems like most used models on the market are AWD.
THATS MY CAR. same colour and year. Best decision ever. Drives like a dream and the wife loves it
i e got a GS350, honestly, best daily driver
What's the price?
I had a black 2014 IS250 F sport on a lease. They had the pry the keys out of my hand on the turn in date. Miss that car still.
Good choice , but every Lexus drives like a dream! My 2006 ES330 has almost 220,000 miles and still drives buttery smooth, feels like a new car!
Skull T Album I’m a die hard Lexus fan but I always love Infiniti too. Beautiful cars.
2015 IS prices mysteriously increased 🧐
@The Most High he mean this video increased the sales of the vechicle there for increasing the demand
Omar Izzat these were already pricey before this video
Vinny T. Stfu
Now all the 2015 IS are sold out on car lots with a 2 month waiting list.
2011 should be under 12k, w/ 90k miles....better than BM trouble you .
I’ve got a ‘13 IS250 and bought it used. At nearly 140k miles it still drives solid without any breakdowns nor rattles and leaks.
Toyota and Lexus the best cars ever!
AMG the best or nothing

My cousin has a 2014 IS350 F-sport, has 100K miles now. Super reliable, not good in gas but super reliable. Only had to change control arm due to him hitting a big pot hole. Only oil changes.
My wife has this exact year and model. Bought a two year old used one with minimal mileage. Two years later it's still running great with just under 50k miles.
I just wish they didn't require premium gas. That significant added cost over time.
@@carlhammill5774 I use regular gas for years without any problems
09 IS 250 AWD. 125k miles. Best out of 4 BMWs and Acura RL owned. Not a Porsche but plenty quick and responsive. Factory sway bar nice for handling.
My Lexus IS has 300k miles on it. Still runs like a champ. Don’t know when it will finally croak, but it’s never leaked any engine oil lol. It’s 💯% Scotty approved. Interior is still like new. And I bet Scotty’s dollar on that one haha.
hows the lexus doing
@@ye6417 at 343,000 miles and still drives like first day I purchased it.

Because he bought it !
Absolutely love mine!
Literally the worst Lexus he could recommend. The small DI engine is the most problematic.

Lexus IS250 (2007) was my favorite car purchase ever. Love it
Picked up a used ‘11 and couldn’t be happier with it
I test drove a 350, it was a lot of fun on the curvy roads and the exhaust note sounded glorious
I still have my IS300. The inline 6 cylinder wont die!!
How good is lexus is 300h?
long live the 2JZ!
I loved that car when I was a teenager. It was hard to find a one once I was old enough to buy one. Nobody got rid of them.
Same. Mines a 2001 is300. 263,000 miles. It won't die
Me too 300k
Car before Scotty says it's a good buy : $ 1500
Same Car after Scotty says it's a good buy : $ 5000
😆
The average 2015 Lexus IS250 on autotrader runs about $26,000. A 5 year old car for $26 grand and we're stupid? If I'm going spend that much money I want the new car smell.
Race Bannon it’s better than any other luxury brand tho. If you go high end like Mercedes that last they go over 100,000 Dollars

I used to drive Mercs and BMWs but when I got a Lexus I realised that German care are very unreliable and expensive to fix
But how did you like your Lexis?
All European car are good only to lease up to 50 thousand miles after that it starts to fall apart found that out from my bmw..going to a Lexus bmw is like it said a power machine to drive but only when its new...
Mercury or Mercedes?
German cars are purposely made like that and they load them with electronics that are going to stop working
Picked up a 2013 is350 F sport for $12.4k with only 70k miles on it. Was a steal. All I had to buy was two rims and tires. Love the car.
When I move to Houston I am taking all my cars to Scotty!
I'm in Dallas and I still may take em to Scotty lol
Bad news he moved to Tennessee
He's in Tennessee? Nuuu
No he moved to LA.
He's living all over
@Scotty, With your recommendation I bought a 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport.
Just bought an is300. I’m really enjoying it thus far.
Thanks uncle Scotty. Picked up a 2020 is350 f sport awd. You’re the best! Not a big fan of the newer designs and saved me some money too.
I really want this one and I love the big “scowling” grille that Lexus has on their new cars.
Me too. I also love them...
Only the F sport black mesh ones.
