Word the Bronx doesn't get enough credit. I know a lot of people visit Queens and BK for food but no interest in the Bronx. Honestly I think people still have this perception that there's nothing to do there and it's dangerous. And can I say racist? They think black and brown folks cultures (African and Latino) not as interesting or trending. I hear everyone mention Elmhurst, JH, Flushing etc all the time for Asian foods and cultures. Ugh it makes me so annoyed at people's cultural favoritism and classism :/
I went to NYC last weekend specifically to go to the Bronx Might Market, and it was a great experience! I had the Filipino style taco and the Jerk Pork. Both were delicious! Thank you for this video. You showed me a side of NYC I would not have found on my own.

But, I would be remiss in my duty as a New Yorker to let him call Fordham rd the south BX! Whaat?! Nah! Lol If he was in Mott Haven sure that's the south bx all day but not Fordham man! 😂 Great video love everything about it, it just hurt my soul not to correct that one little thing! I really love the bronx and I couldn't let that go.

My grandparents lived on University and Fordham for some time. There was Weber's German bakery, the Greek bakery on the Concourse, , Alexanders, 2 Woolthworth's, Darlene's Children's Furniture, Gormans Hot Dogs, Clarke's Bar on Webster, The Valentine, The Paradise and the RKO movie theaters and from my parents era, Jahn's Ice Cream Parlor (the Kitchen Sink!).
Only been to New york/manhattan once, but ooooh boy i cant wait to come back! Wish i could try out these places and foods too! Greetings from Denmark :)
