New. York. City. That’s where our host Josh Rosen kicks off his journey in Episode 4-and where he lived for 16 years and started up the surf-centric apparel brand, Saturdays NYC. Back in his old stomping grounds, Josh first meets up with the award-winning chef and Mumbai native, Chintan Pandya, currently blowing up the New York food scene with his unapologetic and authentic Indian cuisine (pro tip: try the goat brains). Next, Josh travels through the boroughs, heads upstate, and along the coast to source local ingredients-from sake brewers and pig farmers to catching fresh lobster just 100 miles from Wall Street. As always the adventure will end with a feast, right back in Chintan’s kitchen.

Great video! May I ask what’s the name of the record store in the beginning?
Very cool content just subscribed
Dude you are F*CKING CRAZY! You trying to be the new Anthony Bourdain? You ‘re on your way man! Amazing content. You had me in tears of joy 😂 We have such a melting pot of culture and beauty here in our backyards! What better way to express our relationship and love of nature and our community, world and universe! Truly spiritual 🙏. Thank you ❤
Whatever team is directing / producing / filming / editing this series is doing a seriously good job. Give them a raise!

Most underrated RUclips Series. This could be on Netflix
it's great to see people so passionate about keeping tradition alive
cinematically unmatched as the best travel cooking show on the internet

Yes sir, we are hungry for more 🧄
research/content wise, also, IMO
Never stop making these videos. It will take over a lifetime to get through every city, state, province, country.
This continues to be one of my favorite series on RUclips. Never stop making these please
I think I've said this in my head 10 times for each episode. Surf, outdoors, city, food, culture, craft, adventure, personalities. These make a good show to me

Hand bitten In 'ast' nomoskar
The guy that edited this deserves a medal! Great job!🎉
they are pretty damn special
None of the documentary I've seen of NY is that deep and inspiring.
Loving the Converse / White boxers cliff jump - shout to Basket Ball Diaries
FINALLY! someone got it!
Bourdain would be proud and I enjoyed this very much.
This is the most beautiful video I’ve watched in youtube. Changed how I view New York!
Reminds me of Parts Unknown from Anthony Bourdain somehow! Please keep making those! We love to see more!
Wow. That was the coziest thing I've seen in years. Something so soothing about seeing a video that is just so simply about food, adventure, community, whimsy, and living well.
best series
Don't want to preach to the choir, but my lord, this series is beyond magnificent, positive and inspiring. Can't get enough and always look forward to the next episode. Thanks for the hard work you put into making me smile and reminisce. I've visited some of these places from this series and these episodes really take me back and bring back the magic, refresh all those memories that get lost somewhere in everyday life. Love you for this, guys!
I have no idea how this popped up in my recommended videos, but wow! This is my new favorite series. I went to NYC for the first time about 6 months ago, and watching this makes me want to hop on a plane and go back again! Very well done production work here. Keep up the amazing videos!
You should just move there ! Life is too short 🤷♂️👊💪🙏
How does this not have 1 million views minimum? Spread the word people!
Love that the final dinner/meal was about 30 seconds. Its always about the journey. Great story telling
this series gives me life. Thank you for doing this, truly soul lifting work and so necessary to build community in this way.
agreed!!!
One of the best movies about NYC I have ever seen, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There’s no place like my NYC LOVE YOU NYC!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Another timeless classic
Shopping in the Union Square Farmers Market was something I used to look forward on my days off. It was also always fun to hangout at the Saturday NYC shop. I will never forget that one sunny day when the barista gave me a free cup of flat white prepared with La Colombe beans.
What a great capture of NYC and State. Great people, amazing food and well documented. Roll it!
As a New Yorker, I approve! @Huckberry what was the name of the song played around the 21 minute mark??
THIS IS AN INSANELY great episode. So so well produced, directed, and edited. This is pure GOLD!
Awesome. Smiled the whole way through.
Better than anything on mainstream TV programs

Thank you Josh and Huckberry for this series! Each episode is better than the last, and that's saying a lot because they have all been absolutely fantastic. After 4 episodes I feel like I know Josh and I think that just shows how personable these episodes are, not only with the host but also the producers featured. Keep 'em coming!
Reminds me of the Big Apple ❤❤❤ Thanks.
At first I thought "another NYC food video"..... This is beautiful and creative and cool. Very hard to reinvent what has been done many times. Awesome.
All the way from Denmark here, that was damn inspiring :) Thank you
I haven't seen them all but the DIRT I have seen has been EXCELLENT!!!
So refreshing, thanks y'all. And could you post the playlists to these?
these videos make new york so desirable, i'm from a small shity village in slovakia and would love to spend some time there. been already 3 times but never enough :)
Come on over sometime
Beautiful man. NY is the only place when I leave I feel a sense of sadness and longing for a little while as I'm pretty sure I've lived there once or twice before. This video illustrates great examples of what New York is and there's many reasons why NY is such a unique place but imo, it's the people that make it a truly special place Thank you for making these vids, you have a new fan/sub in me. :)
Found this to my surprise..just loved how you met people with passion and gave them some time to show us their magic..wonderful New York❤
Love dirt and Huckberry
this is the coolest thing I've ever seen about New York, and it's beautifully shot and made. I was smiling the whole time I was watching! You really made my day with this one! Thanks to the crew and good luck!!
This is truly an inspiring series - dedicated to the communities and people that make the places so special, but also running at the end of the day to sneek a little cliff dive in. Just amzing stuff! Keep it up!
I randomly clicked this video and I already love it! Thank you
This was so very well made. A true local adventure! :) Just goes to show how many wonderful things can be sought in one's backyard, if only one's prepared to look! :)
Wow, what a heartwarming film. I can feel the love and also appreciate how much work went into this one. Sometimes it's hard to zoom out and see the natural bounty of the city when it feels so industrial and nature is not so obvious to find. Thanks! I am a new immigrant in the city, so I hope I feel like this when it's my time to leave.
I've lived in and around the city for 23 years and this makes me excited about it all over again. Can't wait to see the other cities/episodes! Fantastic!
Your video made me smile and smile. Remind me how marvelous the world is and the people in it. HUGE thank you!
Is it just me or is there a little Anthony Bourdain in the voice over monologue? Something special in the storytelling.
This series really is wonderful. Please keep going. Great work to all involved!
awesome guys. huge fan!
Wow, wow, wow. Brilliant. Made me fall deeper into my loveliest NYC
Thoroughly enjoyed this - so much diversity and intrigue packed into a mere 25 minutes. Thank you for producing this!
Got some Anthony Bourdain vibes. Especially the way this was written and the cadence of how your narrating. I like it. Miss that guy.
Hot DANG!!! 48 different shots in the intro alone that is less than 1,5 minute long. Crazy!
This feels like they way we should be living.
I have bookmarked these places and will definitely check them out when i get to ny! Cheers!
Waaaw. Really enjoyed watching🤗
Just watched this for the 2nd time on a Friday evening with my wife just to confirm how good a production this is. Bravo 👌🏻🙏🏻
hell yeah, sounds like a perfect Friday night. glad you enjoyed it!
看得我耳目一新,心旷神怡。
I feel deeply enjoyable when I watched this . Thanks for the hardwork.
I look forward to new episodes of DIRT, and this one did not disappoint. I fell in love with the NOLA episode, went back and watched the episode 1 afterward, and I've been a fan ever since. Also, Josh Rosen is my grown man spirit animal.
Thank you for producing such a beautiful love filled view of NY and the surrounding area. Amazing presentation. That it what you call peeling the onion. Just awesome.
great series. keep em coming! Josh is a natural host love the vibe
This is awesome. impossible to watch this without a smile stamped on my face the entire time. this is a great piece of art in storytelling and cinematography around cooking, farming, fishing. and harvesting in such a celebratory way. No fluff, no ego, no politics. just living and appreciating life. well done.
I don't comment on RUclips or social media in general. this show is so cool it's worth breaking that trend! Please keep making this!!!
Up to the eye sockets in bourdain vibes, really beautiful stuff!

Just discovered this show yesterday and it is amazing. Inspiring. I live in Ireland and that episode was amazing .
Something special about newyork too.
Such a wonderful production
Thank you, New York! ❤
Dude, simply amazing!
I clicked on this not knowing it was about Saturdays. I discovered this place about 5 years ago when I was living in NYC and felt homesick. I wanted a secluded little area to drink coffee and relax and somehow found the backyard area of Saturdays. Whenever I visit the city I always stop here or at least walk by. I even love the location and just walking around this area makes me feel nostalgic
This is seriously one of my favorite series around right now. Thank you!
Wow--this was exceptional. Fantastic storytelling and great host.
Another great ep of a great series. Thanks and keep 'em coming!
