Back when I was a young (and dumb) line cook in the late 90s in NYC trying to keep up and learn everything, THE place to eat after hours was Blue Ribbon down in Soho ( with a matching sushi bar right next door) ALL of the young guns would go down after closing out their kitchens and eat and gossip and laugh and tell stories and get into arguments and hug and go home and do it all over again. The food and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Legendary joint with INCREDIBLE food! THE DEAD RABBIT was a secret to everyone except the regulars and you had to know where it was at because it was behind an unmarked door with an unlisted telephone number. MAMOUN'S on MacDougal near Washington Square was THE best falafel in NYC at $2 a pop for heaven in a pita bread. It wasn't odd to see Martha Stewart or various rock stars standing in line at 2am waiting for THE BEST FALAFEL EVER! CAFE DANTE was a few doors down from MAMOUN'S and was the perfect last stop for excellent coffee, espresso, brandy and cordials and Italian pastries - used to see Harry Dean Stanton and Al Pacino (not together) and various supermodels laughing and smoking and relaxing there. And yes, Black Velvets at THE WHITE HORSE TAVERN in Chelsea. GUS"S in Astoria for epic REAL Greek Taverna food. GRAND CENTRAL OYSTER BAR in Grand Central Station, SMITH & WOLLENSKY on the upper East Side, PATSY"S for pizza, RUSS & DAUGHTERS, ZABAR'S, SOUEN in SoHo.......and yes - VELSEKA!........ahhhhh, I miss NYC!

Probably the most enjoyable 40 minutes of content I've watched in a hot minute! Toying with doing 5 days in NYC for food sometime late spring/early summer next year; was originally thinking Queens for the cheaper streetfood, but some of these recommendations look right up my street!
I very rarely comment on anything on RUclips. But having watched thousands of videos from various channels over 10+ years this is one of the best to date. The fact you have all of the chefs, all of the famous and some well known spots and new ones. Is genuinely impressive, if this doesn’t sit at multi million views in a few months. I’ll be in shock. When you’re doing what you love with your best friend how can you go wrong, this for me is up there as one of your best, anyone who has the gift of being able to put people at ease and make them want to engage and show the love of their hard work is a top top people person, well done both of you, your content is top draw stuff, keep up the great work

Having lived in New York for 2.5 years, you nailed it! With top tier cinematography/editing to boot! I’d add Omakase by Korami, La Cabra, Jua, Tonchin, and Otis. Check out Chicago! Bavette’s, Au Cheval, Armitage Alehouse, Kai Zan, Kumiko, Aviary, Spacca Napoli, Sawada, Kasama, Dove’s, Maple and Ash, Rose Mary, QXY, Chiu Quon, Le Colonial, Green St. Smoked Meats, Girl & the Goat, Monteverde, Pequod’s, and Hexe
Beautiful cinematography!….and great choices in the spots you chose. I see many of my favorites, especially the last spot 👌 you did this New Yorker proud! 🗽

You boys have done it again! I haven’t been to NYC since 2017…now, my stomach is telling me to hop on a plane ASAP. Though my next food city visit is to Singapore in October. Top Content and cinematography here…thanks to all - you should be chuffed. Also, still chuckling about the description of Wildair using French technique and being a bit slutty - talk about painting a picture with words - perfect!
Thank you so much for the comments. Much appreciated
New format is great, would love to see this as a series on the channel!
I truly truly enjoyed this video. Thanks guys.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ledges!! I used to binge watch TJ! Jacked for this popping up again… playlist was was waaaaaay down the bottom!! Good job lads!! 💯🤙🏾💯🤙🏾💯🤙🏾💯
Haha welcome back!
A very very good episode. Found you through IG shorter bits a while back, but here to stay with YT as your stuff is better when more in-depth. I thought I knew New York eating pretty well, but these recommendations look incredible and straight on the list. Your Lisbon episode underpinned a recent foodie trip there and reccs were generally spot on.
Wow! Thank you. What great comments - much appreciated
This was lovely and engaging all the way through - thank you!

Thanks for this, I'm planning my first trip to New York since I was a kid and I will visit at least a few of these.
A great video, I found you while planning my London trip. I am glad you that have some more recommendations closer to home.
