This was great and made me realize I was overturning my hips because I was turning my hips immediately in the backswing! I did much better on the range today and can’t wait to play a round on Sunday. Thank you!

Exactly what I needed in terms of drills for turning the hips in the downswing and at impact. Great Stuff!

Really, really insightful. The hip bump certainly encourages my hips out of line. Will concentrate!

How about some stuff for flat, and laid off swings?? Inside takeaway and across have been covered….a lot. Love the content, thanks.

are we bumping our hips with long irons and clubs also? I always thought that the K starts changing to more of an X as the club gets longer.

Tried it and found that I naturally rotate my hips 45 degrees but shoulders stop in alignment with 45 degrees..making shoulder rotation more creates shoulder pain...in search of more distance..I usually hit irons straight or with slight draw...so do I just stretch more for maximum rotation? P.s.: I'm 79..stressdr..thanks for the idea.😂

Great video mike, some real nuggets in there. Quick question for you, this season i would really like to work hard on getting rid of me jumping up at impact or humping the ball( golf technical term lol). can you recommend a drill either on this site or your other site i can look at and implement into my practice, as a coach what would you have a student work on? thanks in advance and keep up the amazing work you guys are doing.

Thanks for watching Steve! Every one stands up because it is their athletic response to being out of positon in the downswing. They are trying to buy themselves time to save the shot. Big kev and I will address this in the next episode or two to get you headed in the right direction!!

Mike, I’m confused - as I thought Adam has been promoting the right hip ( moving his wallet pocket) to turn toward the left hip. Or have I been misunderstanding this completely. Cheers from Down under !

      Aussie Aussie Aussie 🇦🇺
Thanks for watching! Adam and I don’t ever disagree all information should be totally congruent!
Yes! You turn your right hip toward the left hip in the backswing! You have to keep an eye on the right knee, we don’t want you guys straighten that right knee, the allows the hips to over rotate in the backswing and causes a disconnection with ground pressure and can often lead to other issues as well like over run of the arms at the top or a reverse pivot!
Keep the right knee flexed as you turn your right hip toward the left hip and you will maintain connection with the ground and limit your hip turn to 45-55 degrees even though you feel you turning it as much as you can!
This will feel tighter in both upper and lower body at the top as you stay connected to the ground and build up some stored energy, like the bow and arrow!
Great question Though! Thank you again so much for watching! We’d love to make it down under one of these days!
