    Dude, this was the best tour of the GT I've seen. I'm on the fence between this and a few others. Thanks so much.

      I’m so glad you liked my video! Also, thank you so much for your generous gift! 😊
      I do have a more impromptu extended driving impressions video of this car which I plan to public within the next few weeks. Those type of reviews aren’t as structured as my usual review style, I’m still kind of working on developing my system of filming those.
      But I definitely recommend you get as much seat time in a GT as you can, as well as every other car you’re interested in. Buying a new car as you know is way too big of a purchase to not get all the information and know for sure you found the right one. Thanks again and best of luck! 🙂

    I bought my '67 fastback 390GT in July 1980. I still own the car. I also "own" a 2020. It is leased. Now, I'm going to finance 2024 GT. Thank you for assuring me.

    "Reasonably affordable" I am fairly sure had CV19 and Biden not happen, that Mustang would've been $8-10k less from the dealer.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад +2

      Yeah, a few years ago a Mustang GT did not cost 50k, but in today’s time, this car is now only 2k more than “the average” new car. So although I don’t personally agree with modern vehicle pricing, in the context of current reality it is “reasonably affordable” haha. ☹️

      Trump was president for the first year of CV19 when economic problems started. Biden and the rest of us just had to pick up the pieces from his mishandling of CV19.

    I am considering between this and the BMW 4 series gran coupe, which one do you guys suggest l take

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  8 дней назад

      If I was to spend the money on either of those two cars, I would personally choose the Mustang. It’s potentially more straight forward/reliable and probably won’t depreciate as much as the BMW. I say this knowing nothing about the current gen 4 series, so I could be off base. Thanks for watching!

    I'd recommend the Performance Package, and Magneride. Understanding of course your 54K mustang now jumps to 61.5 K. It's worth the extra in my opinion.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад

      Great insight! Mag ride is no joke in the few cars I’ve driven with that system (mostly GM perf cars). 😎

    • @andi8489
      @andi8489 19 дней назад

      whats better with the magneride? serious question. Is it "softer" or harder ?

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  16 дней назад

      The biggest thing I’ve noticed in street use with performance cars equipped with mag ride is how much better they handle bumps in the road. But from what I’ve driven (Mustang, ZL1, Corvette type cars) it is a bit more stiff and there’s not much body roll. Especially the ZL1 with 1LE package, that was actually almost not fun on the street because it was such a track focused tight suspension and you could feel everything on the road, lol. Probably why I never see Camaros with the 1LE matte black hood around town.

    I have been negotiating to purchase this exact vehicle. As per the link to the dealers website... Does anyone see a problem with redlining this vehicle( 0-60) with 150 original miles on the engine? there is some talk about a break in period in the manual. Any input would be appreciated, Just a little concerned moving forward after seeing this video.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад +1

      I’m sorry about that. With how over built the 5.0 Coyote engine is, and the fact that it’s naturally aspirated compared to a boosted engine, I personally would not be worried about this. Especially since there are already people who have Gen 6 Whipple supercharged their 2024 and have dyno’d about 2x the power level of this stock one. And theirs seems to be holding up just fine. I’m assuming the original 150 miles were normal causal miles but I can’t personally confirm that. The only accelerations I did in total were filmed and shown here, all other driving off camera was extremely casual. But again, I’m sorry about that. 😕

    Back in the 80s the Highway Patrol in California and Washington had the Mustang GT’s (5.0 with a 5spd stick) as their freeway patrol vehicle.
    Sadly I know about that first had when I got pulled over by one in WA doing 140mph in a 55mph zone.
    The fine was $997 in 83.
    Now almost 40 years later if I would only have to pay less than $1K and not go to jail, I’d do it again.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208

      For sure! And they’re not thoroughly warmed up for testing. Usually my launches/0-60 testing is like a decent realistic time for this part of the country. But if one could warm the tires and practice multiple trials (basically treat it like their own car) there’s definitely some room on the table for a faster time! 😎

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад +2

      Oh, I haven’t heard that. Well if people don’t want to see the V8 muscle car completely disappear they need to be a statistic and buy one. Manufacturers only make what sell and what they can justify. 🤷‍♂️🙂 It is crazy though that Ford use to sell several hundred thousand Mustangs a year!

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208

      Yeah, for sure lol. Honestly the fact that it did a low 5 true time in this density altitude isn’t bad. A 2023 I tested couldn’t do better than I think a 5.3 last year. Elevation, heat, and not prepared road kills performance and launching ability. 🤕

      The problem is the masses have been clambering for a luxurious lifestyle inside these cars that they can’t afford. Why the hell do we need some of the conveniences in these modern cars that they have? I bet a car company would make absolute bank if they went back to the old days of having a very very simple interior with few luxuries but for a very low price tag.

    • @2quick2come
      @2quick2come Месяц назад +1

      @awwwwwyeahhhhh1110 I think so as well. A young kid or a household family does not have 30k to spend on a car. After tax and high apr, it's like 45k. A simple radio is all we need aside from the safety features like a seat bell. A backup camera is not needed, nor lane keeping assist, not forward cruise, not satellite radio, navigation, or apple carplay or Android auto. A nice cheap, reliable car doesn't need all that. If people require them, then they can go for the higher trim.
