My 2016 Mustang GT was the last Mustang I’ll ever own. I put $5k in the car for shifter, exhaust and other upgrades and it still wasn’t great. I love the coyote engine but everything around it was cheap. At least it had physical controls for climate which should never be taken away from any car. Mustangs are too expensive now and the quality issues you point out at the price you paid are unacceptable.
"Mustangs are too expensive now and the quality issues you point out at the price you paid are unacceptable." - 100%. As much as I'd like to buy one (which would be near 60 grand as I'd spec it), it's tough to pull the trigger knowing the quality is poor and you are almost certain to have issues / problems.
Agree. I had a 2015 S550 base GT. The car was just awful, made with the cheapest materials possible…I can see nothing has changed with the new gen. I’ll stick to Corvettes, which aren’t perfect either, but not nearly as low quality as a Mustang.
I have a 2017 Performance Pack Manual GT too. And I agree about the quality of a lot of the parts. But, I love mine but then again it's a weekend car with low miles still. I love that it's simple with real gages and button's and not full of touch screens.. I am older so I don't want my car to behave like a PC.. From what I have seen all the newer Muscle cars have their Issues and cheap out in some way, Like the Dodges to the Camaro's.. Dodge is the worst with that. Dodge kept the same interiors for like 10 years on a lot of their cars too. But I understand Ford did cheap out.. The MT82 can be a problem for people who want to race their cars. I can't believe to this day they are still using the MT82 even on the 2024's. They say it's improved who knows but the guy's that end up happy are the ones with 10 speeds it seems like.. But the only Mod's I have are an 1.SR Xpipe, 2.Steeda Shifter Bracket, a shifter ball, and 35lb clutch assist pedal spring. Which the last 2 aren't really even mod's. I did have the Steeda trans insert in but the car had to much NVH, so I pulled it.. And I love mine. Anyway my point is I got into watching all these Mustang Vid's, CJ pony/AM and before I knew it these guy's were almost talking me into buying shit I didn't need. But the people in these vid's will have you or me think Oh I need this or I need to get that, and we really don't.. And OMG everything is so expensive for these cars too, but they convince people they need a shifter, and a one piece drive shaft or a new rear and all these Polly bushings and things you wish you never bought by the end of it all. So I get what you are saying about the money.. And good luck with whatever you do or get.
Agee totally! Mustang is ok but not that great now at the $60k price point for the GT. Even the base is about $50k with nice options. So for value I’d buy a base BMW 230i for handling and build quality plus luxury feel. The new ones are really nice for only $40k! For an SUV check out the BMW X3. It starts in mid $40’s but you need options - get one in low $50’sk. For economy Mazda SUV is best. Especially the CX5 or CX50
@@kendeljayne3459 You should test drive the new 230i BMW coupe it about $40k. It’s amazing to drive. Comes with four year factory warranty and free routine maintenance for 3 years. The M2 coupe is $65k. That’s more money but way nicer than the Mustang GT.
While somethings might be a little nitpicky. I think Ford should have done more to make this more special for being what it is. Wouldn't have taken much to pop new light or lock switches but have the mechanics on the back be the same. One good bump and that sensor is coming out of the dash
Sir, I've owned two , I've learned with my 2000 Mercury Grand Marques regarding the HVAC controls, and just set the system to Auto. Once you are in Auto and you want to make adjustments for your comfort, just adjust the temperature. The HVAC will do the work. Increasing the fan speed and directing the air flow. In the summertime, automatically, the car reads the outside temperature. You will notice the AC comes on. Ford has the HVAC down to a science. I have a'17 GT convertible with the PP.
2020 went bye bye this weekend. It was a BEAUTIFUL car but spent 4 years in and out of the shop from panels, electronics, trans, suspension, noises, you name it. I will miss it but not the problems.
What do you mean? $55k is definitely a budget car in today’s economy. A nicely equipped Camry now is $47k. They new Mustang honestly is way underpriced as a muscle car. The base GT should have started at $75k minimum
Great review. I like the breakaway each time to the car as you talk about each point. My absolute favorite part other than sound and performance is the rear. I love the tail lights. I know many have said it was a fail. I think the angle is awesome.
I'm in England, bought one in fighter jet grey, fantastic car, in manual, BHP down a bit because of RHD conversion but still plenty quick enough and surprisingly economical on a run.
I agree that after several yrs they could change up the style of the buttons and switches, but it's probably a cost saving tactic on Fords end to make small things like that more universal across it's line
I remember you pointing out the small dent when you picked your beautiful new Mustang up. I'm surprised you didn't notice the paint issue. I also recall you had informed the selling dealership about the dent so your local dealership should repair it under factory warranty. I would talk to your sales person and have them contact your local dealership to discuss the repairs. I would start the process. They should repair your issue, but the sooner the better. My last new 2020 sedan had a similar issue, but i had the dealership repair my issues before I drove it off the lot.
Congrats again on this beautiful 5.0! I appreciate you continuing to share info on the new Mustang. I’m still deciding if I like it better than my ‘18 GT PP1. I haven’t seen the new Mustang, so hopefully soon. Regarding everything you mentioned, I think you’re spot on! The buttons in the center and how the entire piece moves together is how Ford designed it, but yes 100% looks cheap when in use.
I don't understand why car manufacturers think it's a good idea to have everything on the screen. It's dangerous and stupid. It's a big deal breaker for me. I wish customers would get together and boycott this technology.
I do believe that for a $57k car they should pay more attention to detail and have better quality control. These things are even happening on a $70k+ dark horse. I am still hesitant about the fully digitalized controls and the way the flat screens look, so I am not convinced on the interior yet. However, I love every exterior angle. It looks gorgeous wherever yo see it. Some people complain about the tail lights, but to me they look great, much better when you see them in person. Mechanically, they brought all the S550 development and improved it. Engine is incredible, and the several settings for the Active Exhaust just blew my mind in this model. I know you will keep enjoying this car for years to come, it will stand out wherever you drive it!
2:53 - That's a great find and point. All it took was the silly creative director at Ford to overrule his UI/UX dept for the less cluttered look. Functionality should win over form in this case. I bet the AC controls will be back as physical knobs on 2025. Oh, and that red coat is absolutely spot on. 👌
Good video, you finished strong. Ford engineers look at improving over >113 areas of the S550 when making the S650. I agree totally with your view on the black paint spill and the dent. I would require the dealership to correct that. I also do not like the crappie buttons that were used to replace the cool toggle switches. Most car makers go cheap wherever they can get away with it. I have Porsches, Audi, Mercedes Benz and seen the same irritating build problems. Overall the S650 drives way better than the S550. It is very noticeable!!! Love the car for the same reasons that you mentioned! Thanks for sharing!!!👍👊💪🇺🇸
Those center console buttons, that move as one unit, are like the ones in our ‘23 Escape. It threw my off as well. I played with pressing in different places, and it seems there is some ‘touch’ aspects to it. So they might say it is an improvement because they is only 1 ‘button’ and other electronics to see where your finger is. I say they have had multiple buttons for years without problems, no need to change.
Good video. The negatives are concerns that I would have myself. I've owned 3 Mustangs and never owned a Camaro but positives here, are what would make me purchase this over the Camaro. Spot on.
My 2023 Bronco has debris on the back hatch in the paint and the hood has a spot that added between the paint and clearcoat. Both claimable and under warranty. HOWEVER, I have the choice of repainted hood or attempt to hide with touch up. Not sure I want that hood repainted.
Thing about even the old ones was people were looking at the outside/ performance, more than is the interior pretty. People love that 68 Bullitt car and the interior of that wouldn't make you run down the street in a Speedo hooping and hollering. But that wasn't what it was shooting for. But you have the right to expect better
And the factory exhaust sounds great! The issue comes from the cheap tips. I resisted changing it for the longest time. My friend said it best: the factory exhaust tips look like someone cut open a coke can and use that for exhaust tips. They are just too thin and cheap looking. And a Mustang still feels like a 4x4. It feels like you are sitting in rocking chairs. The seats should at least go 3 inches lower
The Heated Steering Wheel is on the Dash Screen on our 2020 F150 limited. It's not a new idea. The Buttons you push for you Flashers, etc are one piece. They are for touching, not pushing to see how far you can push it.
Those on screen HVAC controls are the worst I've ever seen. On my 2017 ecoboost base model, I have physical buttons and knobs for everything which is always the way to go. Its just a money saving trick to put controls on a screen.
Bummer about the quarter panel ding, and the paint drip. My son's GT Premium is awesome. He's the primary driver of his vehicle so I haven't driven it much but I did notice the lack of physical buttons. I think that's an adjustment. As a way to overcome the lack of buttons I'd encourage you to learn the appropriate voice commands for turning on the heated or cooled seats and for adjusting the climate control system. I think you'll find using voice commands to be way easier. I don't mind the reuse of door buttons and headlight controls. I will say the remote rev feature is a little bit gimmicky but if you like hearing your engine rev you'll love that feature too. The vehicle sounds great and I will say it rides much more smoothly than my 2020 Convertible and even my son's 2021 GT Premium. I'm waiting for my Dark Horse to get built. I have a scheduled week but not a specific date yet. We'll see if there is a labor action I'm sure my production week will be pushed back.
First of all, love the mustang bro. i am a mustang lover myself. i own one. It's just the wave of the future, they use Cheap stuff at a bigger price. This goes with anything in life now.
I think the problem with the black paint is really. Only worst is the "kind of" hail dmg! I wil make sure to check my thoroughly before closing the deal! Thank you so much!
Nice car! I had a similar dent when I got mine home from the dealership. Actually, I had 2 dents similar to yours. The dealership fixed it with PDR. Came out perfect. They told me it was more than likely during shipment etc. etc.. honestly, I don’t think they look over the car very well before delivery to the customer. I don’t think they really care… Even if they see the dent, they are going to let you find it and pointed out to them. 😉
Man the question I would be asking myself is: if something so simple as a sensor in the dash, a small dent, or paint issue get past quality control- what else did? This are simple items that are in the open and easy to see if you are inspecting the car.
Interesting vid on the new ICE Mustang GT. Recall we met at Supercell East in my Cyber Orange Bronco. I liked it so much that I bought another Ford late last year, except it was the Mustang Mach E GT Performance Edition! No complaints with that car. Love its quick acceleration and quality interior. Blue Cruise is the best! I think it's faster than the ICE GT but of course a lot of haters out there. Personally Ford should have just called it a Mach E and that might have one over more of the ICE Mustang fans.
I think they will just call it a Mach E down the road. I did roll up on one a week ago in the Mustang and couldn’t get him to race lol.. I know it would kill us but still thought it would be fun to challenge it
I just smoked a Mach-E today in my bone stock 2020 Mustang GT Convertible. He had me off the line but by the time I hit second gear I was a car length ahead. EVs are fast off the line but my zero to 60 at 4.5 seconds and higher top end wins in the end.
@@JeffPowers Did it have GT on the back? Regular Mach Es are not that fast and most on the road are not GTs. They are kind of like a V6 Mustang :). I have a GT but on top of that the Perf Edition of the GT which is rated at 3.5 seconds 0 to 60. Would have been interesting.
@@panzer948 This was not a Mach-E GT. It was quick off the line (like we know BEVs are) but wasn’t able to sustain more than 100 yards. I know the Mach-E GTs are faster but I still believe the bone stock 5.0 would beat that too in a 1/4 mile.
I am having issues with my leather seats in my 2024 mustang gt premium. Where the leather is wearing after having for only 2weeks & then the bottom of the seat not being pulled tight. Never had this happen before in any of my other mustangs. Anyone else having this problem?
I enjoy these videos from your driveway. Nice garage btw. Wishing Kelly patience and success in her job search. In the meantime, enjoy the time at home.
I also have a new GT Premium. My head lite sensor on the center dash was installed properly. However mine also had the flimsy lower set of 'switches' same as yours.
Great choice with the tend speed automatic. It is a fantastic transmission in the manual. Transmission is great for people that drive in a normal fashion. However, for those that drive hard and throw it into gear very quickly. The sixth speed manual is not a talk pick for me. Again I gotta say you're mustang is gorgeous
🎉 Congratulations, Dave and Kelly, we love that Mustang and love the color you guys have picked. Really awesome, and of course, as always, we always enjoy your content. Thank you so much ATN team
One other thing that I noticed are the two lower grilles (left and right) . I noticed the grille mesh is floating in front of a back plate. This design is going to make cleaning the bugs off nearly impossible!
I've a 23. But, I noticed some barely visible dents (like about dime sized and only noticeable looking across the light from the front) on the decklid. Also, driver door not aligned on the lower part (it sticks out a bit at the lower rear part). A prop rod for the hood. That's not that impressive considering the price. Speaking of the price, I don't perceive it to be a budget car price and expect better quality / quality control. The front bumper cover at the top driver side where it meets the hood does not fit flush, it is a lower and likely an issue with the bumper casting. It's the area where the part just to the right of the grill opening meets the hood and comes to a point. I did adjust the hood stops (round rubber parts) and this has helped it, but not eliminated it. The touch controls, those I've had the same issue you describe on a number of vehicles. For me, it dulls the experience. Again, the designers know that this is a pain and user issue, yet they cannot pull away from another screen. A vehicles interfaces are not a cell phone....it is moving and you generally want to change settings after you start to move. I don't have any issues with the lock buttons...those work great. It has long been a practice to used the same window/lock switches at all manufacturers. But, heck, with the ever increasing prices, maybe they should be more unique. With regard to the mono-button ( I didn't not realize they weren't separate buttons until this video), that is a cheap approach. I think that area of the dash bears a striking resemblance to the Maverick...! Just not enough of a change to be compelling. Mine sounds just as good. One change they could do....is remove the center post and make the rear windows roll down. That'd be a nice change and make the vehicle look better.
So, I've heard many different HP numbers. Some say the Base Model gets only 480HP but the Performance Packages get 486. You ordered and have a Premium Package and you said it's 486. Is this correct?? Ohh, and Congratulations on your Purchase. I love it and am on the fence about trading my 2020 S550 Premium PP1 for a 2024 GT.
A great review overall. I have a 2024 Mustang GT Premium, Rapid Red, Performabce Package, but with the bronze package instead of the night package. Overall its a great car. As you mentioned, the screen does take some time to get used to thats for sure. My lock and unclock panel on the door is slightly different from yours because the memory setting was also added right next to it, but its basically a minor adjustment from what you mentioned. Luckily my car didn't come with the minor dent and paint mishap, but I hate to hear/see that your got dinged with it. Still, you gave every a great review and some things to consider if they choose to get the new Mustang.
I would have never accepted the car with those issues. I hope Ford offered you repairs. I had a 2015 GT that was a wreck from the factory. Paint chips, crooked body lines. I currently have a 19GT and it was perfect from the factory. So quality is a huge hit or miss!
I like your review and I definitely think everything yousaid stands out you’re just missing one thing though. I’m 6,2 I weight about 230 pounds so you already know I have some length in me with that said the rear mirror doesn’t sit right on me. I see too much of the backseat when I should be able to see more rear window behind me. On the mirror there’s a plastic that doesn’t let it go further. It blocks it from positioning it the way you want it. Wish they had the old style. Also wanted to point something out The whole car buttons are based off that screen so if the screen breaks or goes bunkers you won’t be able to have any sort of control on your car. That’s a sad one. Also make sure to cover your windshield from the sun to protect everything from melting. I own a 2024 Mustang GT premium with active exhaust Silver\black. God couldn’t have delivered any better
bought a new 2024 mustang gt premiun with active valve exhaust package......... Love the sound and roar of the engine power 486 ponies. I hate the manual 6 way seats cloth. not comfortable for long trips. im 6ft 210 lbs and just dont fit in it right. I have the 6 speed trans, and its somewhat tight. Anyway the gas mileage is 13,9 mpg and i drive it hard so i guess that what to expect. My feeling are mixed since i paid 50k for the car !!!!
The strange thing is that even though Ford quality is poor, we still want the Mustang b/c of the V8. The lack of quality in design and manufacturing we'd never tolerate in a more appliance type vehicles like a Toyota (pick model).
Having been on the service side at a Ford store, your fender ping was probably noted by the PDI person and something that happened during transport. The Service Manager probably said to ignore it, that it would cost too much to get someone out to a paintless dent repair.
@@AllTerrainNation Good deal! I remember we had a Harley F-250 that came in with a small ping on the roof of the cab. Something had fallen on it inside the rail car, and our Serv. Mgr. (who's no longer there) said not to bother with it. Sure enough, it came back after it was sold to come for repair. Whoever the customer had put in a spray bedliner noticed it, and the customer was ticked. Our S.M. got the body shop to fix it, and our Mgr. tried to put a claim in on the trucking company! That almost caused them to quit doing them to our store.
that dent probably happened when we had bad storms in the Detroit area ........ all the Mustangs were being held in a lot for almost 2 months before they were released for shipment.
I hope you got a little refund or add-on for that quality issue. I got the black paint with the night pony so no issue there. The only gripe Ihave is that the screen is slow to load and it likes to back through the menus, so I constantly find myself trying to pull up the right screen and have to use the lane assist while I am distracted. It does take some time to learn the system, but once you get it down it feels intuitive and easy. This is the age we live in and we are lucky to have a V8 and MT option. My interior is absolutely perfect. I got a late 2024 build, so maybe they got it down after a while. Ford makes us pay out the nose for it these days, but I love the car so I guess it's worth it.
I feel lucky that there wasn't any paint issues after all I've been spotting on youtube when I picked up my Vapor Blue GT PP. That Nite Pony package goes pretty hard with the red on yours. Wasn't a fan of the wheels though (I refuse to drive on the P-Zeros as well), actually felt heavier than the S550 PP wheels on the EB.
I have a 2019 GT premium in Orange Fury with the digital instrument cluster Ford made for the mach1. I find what I have beats the 2024 on looks inside and out. I bought mine used for 35k. I could not imagine paying almost double for a car I like less(to have one that is newer). If I were to upgrade in the future I'd get a mach1 because i like driving manual and a Tremec is better than my MT82
I got a Mustang GT premium. And the sensors on dashboard keep turning on! Like the pre-collision, Blind spot, steering wheel fault, EPS, lane keeping fault, Service Advance trac. Has this happened to anybody else? I have already taken it to the dealership.
They do have someone checking them but sometimes they are rushed so they miss things this is why you should always inspect your shit before you take it home cuz now we can say no you made the dent with your elbow when you put the window sticker on
Also you shouldnt turn off your car right after revving it but your choice your probably gonna end up trading it back in anyways so it’ll be someone else’s problem I guess
Stone cold love my 2018 GT Premium w/PP1, MagnaRide, 6 speed & Active Valve. After 60,000 miles I’ve had to replace a suspension related wiring harness at my cost, $600+/- and a water pump and front strut assemblies under extended warranty. The hood does not perfectly align with the fenders, but that’s a very minor issue. No squeaks or rattles. The car makes me happy every time I start it up. Struggling with the decision to purchase an S650 - the iPad dash is a big turn off for me. Happy motoring 🤠
Here in Australia we will have to wait at least 6 months for the right hand drive version. I'm a V8 nut and am eagerly awaiting the release of this car. Only negative to me is the touch panel for the controls of AC, radio etc. Looks like a PC game to me?? The reviews of the convertible have put me right off though so its fast back all the way.
Here are my thoughts I’m from Australia I personally own a 2021 GT that obviously a Right hand drive one 😂 I have heavily modified mine I’ve almost spent 50k in mods that’s lots of body work and engine the cars making close to 800hp mind you Mustangs prices start here from 75k-80k I also did have slight slight issues with some paint defects that got fixed other than that my one is super aggressive looking and very powerful and in Australia they are very special cars the amount of people that are attracted to my car where ever I stop it’s thumbs up and amazing car bro from people even though I don’t drive it much because I have a old beater car I use mainly.
Capacitive-touch controls don't belong in a *moving* vehicle. But it's cheaper, so everyone is using it. Maybe after enough people get annoye - having to take eyes off the road - manufacturers will allow us to have real knobs and buttons again?
Waiting on mine. Went with atlas blue. I here ya on most of it. I’m kinda disappointed that they didn’t put smoked or darken tail lights in the nite pony package. I guess I’ll have to start watching for after market stuff. I know this is an old vid, but ifin you’ve heard about some after market tail lights, send me the link. Thanks. P.S. you’re color is my second favorite 🤷🏼♂️👍🏻
I had just seen a 2024 yesterday in blue. Honestly didnt even notice the car. It didnt look like a mustang, and way to much piano black up front. The back looks like someone sliced out the tailights. Why didnt somebody stop them from this going foward with this design? Although, i do like what the new interior design.

We did notice the paint but wanted to point it out in this video
I absolutely hate changing my climate on a touch screen
You understated it. I would expect much better quality for 57k but what they lacked in "finish" you get in performance.
It alot cheaper to make but alot more to replace
Spot on.
Thanks for the good review, this made me decide to go for the s550 not a fan of that huge tablet as dash.
My 2023 Bronco has debris on the back hatch in the paint and the hood has a spot that added between the paint and clearcoat. Both claimable and under warranty. HOWEVER, I have the choice of repainted hood or attempt to hide with touch up. Not sure I want that hood repainted.
You might get them to agree on painting an aftermarket hood for you... Which would be sweet.
Every so often I go to press a button on the Lightning near the radio on off and it turns the radio off.
I have to agree with you on the hvac system. Took ownership of my 2023 on sept 9th. And the hvac system is not easy to operate
23 ?
Thing about even the old ones was people were looking at the outside/ performance, more than is the interior pretty. People love that 68 Bullitt car and the interior of that wouldn't make you run down the street in a Speedo hooping and hollering. But that wasn't what it was shooting for. But you have the right to expect better
I think they need to always have knobs for climate and radio purposes. I hate trying to hit a button on the screen while driving.
I agree the tips look cheep
Great show and very informative brilliant looking car thank you very much for the update 😮. 😊
No problem 👍
Hood struts are very nice. No more pop rod.
That fender ding will come out easily. Paintles dent repair is your answer.
I really like the car! Nice color as well!
It needs a chin spoiler and a lot more aggressive wheel offset.
20x10s and lowering springs are and absolute must.
Nice content, I’m a 5 gen Camaro owner , this is on my list , plain and simple Ford , Mustang
As a current s550 owner, the biggest let down on the s650 is the interior honestly. They didn’t have to lack such creativity on it 🤷🏼♂️
I have a Mach E. I set the HVAC controls to auto and forget it. Very rarely do I move them around. Only to turn auto high or low
You can take it to the dealership and the issues with ding and paint will be handled and so as the temp sensor on the dash.
Shouldn't have to do that. Ford quality is just poor.
WE plan to take it for sure
I know it would kill us but still thought it would be fun to challenge it
@@AllTerrainNation too bad that wasnt me as I would love to try it too! Yes I agree, I think they will drop the mustang part soon
The new S650 mustang definitely has one of the best sounding stock exhausts i've ever heard, can't wait to get my Dark Horse.
I enjoy these videos from your driveway. Nice garage btw. Wishing Kelly patience and success in her job search. In the meantime, enjoy the time at home.
Oh man the control buttons cheapness is next level
I agree 100% with you. Fifty seven thousand dollar car shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff
I also have a new GT Premium. My head lite sensor on the center dash was installed properly. However mine also had the flimsy lower set of 'switches' same as yours.
That’s crazy!! My 2018 had literally the same dent same spot. I wonder if it happens at the factory often then
Great choice with the tend speed automatic. It is a fantastic transmission in the manual. Transmission is great for people that drive in a normal fashion. However, for those that drive hard and throw it into gear very quickly. The sixth speed manual is not a talk pick for me. Again I gotta say you're mustang is gorgeous
Thanks amigo
Use voice commands for things like temperature increases
🎉 Congratulations, Dave and Kelly, we love that Mustang and love the color you guys have picked. Really awesome, and of course, as always, we always enjoy your content. Thank you so much ATN team
The parts bin switches are why it was only 57k and not 67k. Remember the first mustang was a parts bin falcon
One other thing that I noticed are the two lower grilles (left and right) . I noticed the grille mesh is floating in front of a back plate. This design is going to make cleaning the bugs off nearly impossible!
The front is a nightmare to clean
I like the looks of the GT a lot better than the dark horse! Especially the front end looks way better than the dark horse!
We have active exhaust which bumps it to the 486
Any GT with active exhaust will be rated at 486.
Thank you for the nice comment. I have to say starting this car up makes us so happy :-). Hope you are enjoying your Mustang
I would have never accepted the car with those issues. I hope Ford offered you repairs. I had a 2015 GT that was a wreck from the factory. Paint chips, crooked body lines. I currently have a 19GT and it was perfect from the factory. So quality is a huge hit or miss!
Great review, Mate.
Watchin' from Sydney, Australia.
How cool! Our daughters name is Sydney :-)
I "de-badged" my Camaro and replaced it with the Dark Horse emblems and everyone is astonished over my new "Dark Horse" 🙎♂️
Great video 🤘
Thanks
The strange thing is that even though Ford quality is poor, we still want the Mustang b/c of the V8. The lack of quality in design and manufacturing we'd never tolerate in a more appliance type vehicles like a Toyota (pick model).
Ford quality isn’t poor though. It’s no worse than any other mass produced car.
F, please. @@AB-coyote
Yeah the early cars had panel alignment and paint issues and they actually had some productions stops to correct issues
The Button near the Bottom of the Windshield is for your Rain Sensor.
Having been on the service side at a Ford store, your fender ping was probably noted by the PDI person and something that happened during transport. The Service Manager probably said to ignore it, that it would cost too much to get someone out to a paintless dent repair.
They didn’t catch it.. There was a hail store where the cars were stored before delivery. Ford took care of the issue and looks great now
@@AllTerrainNation Good deal!
It's called an auto company parts bin. All manufacturers use their parts bin in order to hopefully meet profit margins.
that dent probably happened when we had bad storms in the Detroit area ........ all the Mustangs were being held in a lot for almost 2 months before they were released for shipment.
Are those defects/issues not able to be fixed by warranty? I am interested in this same model/configurations but Im worried abour those issues
Everything was taken care of by the dealership
I like to use the voice to Sync to adjust the temp!
Interesting. My 22 GT came with a dent in the exact same area. The dealer fixed it.
I got a Mustang GT premium. And the sensors on dashboard keep turning on!
Like the pre-collision,
Blind spot, steering wheel fault, EPS, lane keeping fault, Service Advance trac. Has this happened to anybody else?
I have already taken it to the dealership.
Strange. I got my 24 Mustang GT premium last month. I have no issues with the things you’ve mentioned.
Paint is claimable at dealer but dent or dents need to be claimed before driving away from the dealer.
We did hit a claim before leaving
@@AllTerrainNation right on. Phew.
They do have someone checking them but sometimes they are rushed so they miss things this is why you should always inspect your shit before you take it home cuz now we can say no you made the dent with your elbow when you put the window sticker on
It was documented at the dealership
Also you shouldnt turn off your car right after revving it but your choice your probably gonna end up trading it back in anyways so it’ll be someone else’s problem I guess
2:16 you said the dealership didn’t even catch the dent now your saying they documented it 2 different story’s eh
14:08 your elbows are on the hood of the car so when you find a dent on the hood you now know where it came from
My sixth Mustang and far superior to the previous generations. The driving experience is what its all about.
I just bought one and it’s the same color you have. I love it ❤
Congrats!
Hey do you think the car is loud enough or should I do a muffler delete?
I wouldn’t straight pipe it.. I think it’s perfect
@@AllTerrainNationok thanks
57k??! WOW thats insane.
Does anybody knows if the approach feature is only the premium version?
That color looks amazing. Nice. Is that the Rapid Red?
Yes it’s rapid red with the nite pony package
It is a nice car. Thank you for your thoughts on it. In terms of road noise, how is it if you can compare it to the S550?
Sadly I can not but on our 600 mile trip it was a quiet nice ride
I keep my exhaust in track mode and car in sport mode...👍
We do as well
Here in Australia we will have to wait at least 6 months for the right hand drive version. I'm a V8 nut and am eagerly awaiting the release of this car. Only negative to me is the touch panel for the controls of AC, radio etc. Looks like a PC game to me?? The reviews of the convertible have put me right off though so its fast back all the way.
You will love this car
Congrats on the Mustang order! You will really like driving this car. We just sold ours and hatting to let this one go but its what we do.
hoping in a few years when i can afford this to order the same spec with the black stripe with red accents
All of the build quality issues you pointed out are legitimate complaints that Ford should take full responsibility and fix for free.
They are
You killed me with the exhaust. I fell out of my seat on that cold start. Perfection.
I miss the switches under the radio
Have you checked the fuel mileage yet? I have a 2020 GT automatic and I get about 31 on the highway.
We averaged mid 20s on the way from Detroit to Nashville but we did get racey with the car
That rear diffuser would be the first thing i would look to change. It just looks so cheap.
