- The scene of Tyrion Lanister with Joffery Lannister in season 2 episode 4 of the 'Game of Thrones' series by HBO, based on George R. R. Martin novels, A Song of Ice and Fire.
The Young man who played Joffrey didn't need all that hate mail. He did a great job for such a dispicable character. Solid acting all around.
"Bronn, the next time Ser Meryn speaks, kill him!" Followed by Bronn's coy smile that pretty much said, "I'd do it too, you know!" Bronn is proof that a common sellsword can be more honorable than a "knight in service to the king"
I love when Tyrion tells Bronn to kill Meryn the next time he speaks, and Bronn is just like "Aight. Say less." Especially since we know he could do it too.
The moment Tyrion went in, you can see Joffrey's confidence shake. As hated as Tyrion is by his family, he is still respected and regarded as wise. Jeoffrey knew that. The fact Tyrion and Tywin were the only ones who were able to speak to jeoffrey like that without consequences speaks volumes
Such a brilliant show! Shame it got cancelled after season 6 :(
The way he delivers the "see the difference?" is pure gold
I'd love to see that fight... Bronn would win, easy. Ser Meryn made it into the Kingsguard, so he's clearly got some skills, but Bronn is just plain smarter. And better at fighting dirty.
The acting and performance of everyone in that show was just outstanding!!
In a world where saying the wrong thing can easily get you killed, the guy who says whatever the hell he likes is powerful beyond measure.
God I Tyrion. His ability to walk into situations others are afraid to speak and absolutely shred everyone involved is
The way Bronn looks at Meryn is hilarious to me
Good writing: That was a threat.
The Hound giving his knight cloak (proving once again his despise for chivalry and also as usual protecting Sansa) is my favorite detail about this scene.
Jack Gleeson killed it with his performance. He is looking so good with all his facial expressions, literally a mad evil teen who is scared of someone who is speaking back to him. 10/10 Performance
The fact that Bronn gives him a please speak look never fails to make me laugh
“Now that’s good writing, see the difference.” I said to the writers of season 7 & 8.
Funniest part is that Jack Gleason who played Joffrey is supposedly the nicest most down to earth person
I love the fact that Tyrion starts climbing up the steps toward the throne, which shows that he is not afraid to stand up to Joffrey or his goons.
This 1 minute of dialogue was better than the entirety of the last 2 seasons.
A history lesson, a lesson in proper etiquette,
