Davin Sweet 12 at dinner was still a lie, the idea of betrayal had a fight that killed loads as a result. Tywin was a cruel puppeteer, but honor is not among the qualities he possessed.
I love how Joffery always had that small fear of Tyrion. He might mouth at him, but he was always apprehensive of the discipline that followed, and that showed up beautifully in the acting too.
He knows that Tyrion has no problem putting hands on him. It’s easy to be a bully to people who are scared to touch you. Not so much to someone who has proven that they’re not afraid.
For me, Tyrion was hands-down the best character of the series. Loved seeing his character develop into the man he became. He actually would have been the best King. If not him then Jon.
He'd make a much better king than Jon. Jon tended to do stupid things even when he was advised not to do them by people he knew had more experience and knowledge.

Ramsay on the other hand, is a great villain, he orchestrated the siege of winterfell by tricking Theon, and then tortured him and broke him down into a mere roach, he cunningly foiled stannis's plans to take winterfell (though they were already boiling down after he burned his daughter). Ramsay was a true terror, unlike Joffrey. The only reason Ramsay met his demise is because through insecurity and jealousy he killed his own father. Joffrey met his despise because he was an awful person with no value to anyone.

Dan & Dave rushed the last season because they were promised to be at the head of the next Star Wars trilogy. That's why they screwed up the last season and rushed everything, destroying what was the maybe the best fantasy TV show ever. I love how, whenever Tyrion says things to Joffrey, you can actually see in Joffreys eyes that he is learning from Tyrion, or at least taking into account what he is saying. He's also shocked that someone is saying these things to him xD
Tyrion was one of the few with the balls to call him out when he was being excessively stupid and had a backhand strong enough to knock some sense into him. I bet if he had raised the twerp joffrey would have grown into a far less worthless monster of a king. He might have been another cruel tyrant, but at least he wouldnt have been a petty obvious one.
Who knows? Given a few years, he might have made a proper man out of Joffrey.

Tyrion was my favorite character from both the books and the series. And, Peter Dinklage did a fabulous job of portraying him! I had seen him in other roles and liked him, too, but Tyrion is the run away best!
