My favorite thing about David's story is that I'm almost certain the card originally must have said "enormity," but David corrected the writers to make the card say "enormousness," since "enormousness" is about size, but "enormity" means "something really terrible."
David said it best; when it's Bob, trying to think on anything is futile, and it's just a pure guess no matter what. The man has led quite the life, and his story telling prowess is incredible.
"No you don't - you have ten" 😆 I did hear on the "The Rest is Entertainment" podcast that they sometimes have to edit space before Lee Mack's jokes because he's *so* quick it sounds like it's been scripted.
"I feel like Germany in the First World War, fighting on two fronts - going to turn fascistic in a few decades, that's what I'm saying" can't believe he really said that
It sounds like Lee is making a joke, but yes, if you're going to be in the toilet longer, then the code for an actor who needs to leave set is actually 10-2.
Before watching further, I'm gonna say I think its David. I wouldnt be surprised if they "get that a lot" - sometimes you think "i really could just destroy this right now" about something small or fragile, and even though you know you dont want to break it, you cant get it out of your head. It reminds me of the bird sanctuary story.
Sara is nearly correct about how to stop pickups what you do you hold your breath and you put your hands covering your ears so there is pressure and you hold your breath and keep the pressure up as long as you can once you cannot hold your breath anymore release both and if it doesn’t work the first time it will definitely work the second time- a nurse’s, daughter and first aider here who will verify through personal experience.
what confuses me about this segment is, Lee's had his own sitcom for several years, there's no way he doesn't know about those typical production practices. things like the 2nd AD running the actors and whatnot still happens for a multi-cam, audience sitcom, too. And I don't know why he'd be playing dumb about it for comic affect, plenty of other times in the past he'd make it clear he knew what a person was talking about with certain details of the story and he still made it funny
Even in Imperial times the British were not over-confident - they did things piece by piece which was part of their success. Over confidence usually leads to a downfall (see the example given by David about Germany trying to fight a war on two fronts - then Hitler made the same mistake a couple of decades later).
This is an old clip from the pandemic when we had the distancing laws. The last series had them sitting back together. Doesn't take a genius to realise this was from 3yrs ago with social distancing. Try using your brain before making comments like this.
@@vaw796 tetchy! They did a few series with this spacing well after most of the rest of the world had gone back to normal. It’s not an unreasonable comment!
all I know is something about football commentary, because he told the story that prompted one of my all time fave moments, David's They just play football and play football and play football... p.s. had to look it up again ofc, from this episode as it turns out! ruclips.net/video/Hw16IjtowEM/видео.html
Hiccups are a spasm in the diaphragm so the best way to get rid of them is to reset it kind of by taking a deep breath and holding it for as long as possible
Yes for us southern Brits in phonics you pronounce the a in words such as Castle and bath, grass as an ar sound . This is a British show with Brits on it .Up north it’s pronounced as an a sound . Lee Mack pronounces it as an a as he’s from Southport
Nicola nailed it! She had me with the level of detail and her ease of telling the story.
‘Unsanctioned rosti’ might be my favourite thing I’ve ever heard

😂 Keeping all those Bridgerton secrets has certainly made Nicola a convincing liar.
Nicola Coughlan is as sharp as a whip The next generation. Being Fierce and Relevant !!
She's 37.
She's 37 but she looks really young tho 🤣
I've been in the Egg Club for four and a half years. The first rule of egg club: you don't talk about egg club ... Dan could be disbarred for this.
As will you then. 🤣🤣
You just talked about Egg Club. You are banned from reapplying for 1,683 days.
I've been watching this show for too long I think, I always get these right (unless it's Bob of course)
David said it best; when it's Bob, trying to think on anything is futile, and it's just a pure guess no matter what. The man has led quite the life, and his story telling prowess is incredible.
😂 The quality of David's character here! Wow. It's giving next edition Peep Show!

Whatever Nicola is selling, I am buying.
I was praying for it to be egg club, I'm so incredibly pleased
Andddddd you ruined the video. Fucking mong
Thank you for uploading this clip. Although I've seen the whole episode several times it's nice to have a spotlight on David's story.
That was the most amazing fake hiccup ever 😂
You come onto a program & share something different and painful - and This is how you're treated ⁉️🤣 love him😂
It sounds like Lee is making a joke, but yes, if you're going to be in the toilet longer, then the code for an actor who needs to leave set is actually 10-2.
The speed of Lee is still impressive ⛪
What do you mean "still"??😂
Semi scripted. Comedian aren’t going to look average on the BBC!
I'm so happy Egg Club is real!
Good job Dan, you got a reaction from the guest.
Nicola is so lovely!
Okay.
I feel like The Mentalist, guessed it from observing Graham and the Egg Club guy's initial reason.
They've obviously never heard of the dull mans club - it was so obviously egg club!

Lots of love from Boston!!! Great shite!!
The weird thing to me was the 117 day ban. I was thinking it should have been 123 days or basically 1/3 of a year.
Probably random number made up to be more funny
Thanks loving see nicola ❤❤❤❤
I'm going to make eggs for lunch now.

Im going to have to bone up and try for egg club.
Is Dan the third triplet to Adam Beyer and Armin Van Buuren?
"over-confidence" is the most British thing one could be banned for. If only they'd started that in Imperial times.
Even in Imperial times the British were not over-confident - they did things piece by piece which was part of their success.

Wow. That Egg Club is bizarre.
10-1 is having a weak signal.
before watching - Graham looks like a close relation of Nicola's??
I wish they didn't sit so far apart and the stage was back to how it used to be. It was nicer somehow
I’ve heard that in the latest series they filmed they’re back to the old spacing

@LuukvdHoogen it is pretty obvious though isn't it ? Massive perspex screens and all?

Who is Dan Walker again?

He used to work for the bbc for bbc northwest I think or I think he even did countryfile at one point
I can't believe it was David.
Davids is undeniably true
10:46
My guess is nocola because buddy laughed at parts of the other 2 stories

Also great for your eggs for egg club
My
God, Sarah's hair is waaaay over-bleached!!!
It's called platinum you nonce. You do that on purpose.
I'm disgruntled by everyone's pronunciation of "castle". There's no 'r'.
No one said it with an "r". What you're hearing is /ˈkɑːsl/, as distinct from /ˈkæsl/.
Regional accents mean both pronunciations can be right. This is true in Australia as well
@@orwellfan8662 nope, only castle is right. Pronouncing it like carstle should lead to some being led to the dungeons
I hope no-one here is pronouncing pronunciation wrong or I'm going to be very put out.
