- I took on my first ever strongman style event here in Scotland...
The Donald Dinnie games hosted every year in Aberdeenshire is something I've had my eye on ever since I lifted the Dinnie Stones last year. With only 6 weeks of prep, a sprinkling of advice from the Stoltmans and a mountain of caffeine, watch to the end to see if I managed to complete all 5 events.

Coincidentally I tried strong man training for the first time over the weekend it's hard to describe just how awkward everything actually is can't imagine how hard natural stones are
It’s basically awkwardness and pain tolerance for time.
Amazing performance Fergus. Pleasure competing alongside you, put the ego aside and really challenged yourself and you crushed it. Thanks for the kind words too, hopefully get the opportunity to compete again but I ain’t doing an Ironman anytime soon 😂 💪
Really appreciate your thoughts on putting aside ego in favor of curiosity. As I've begun to take my fitness seriously, I have had several moments, mainly involving classes or fitness in front of others, where I get in my own head and let it be a hindrance. Being curious has been a way to get around that.

It was great to meet you, brother. And thanks for covering Donald Dinnie Day. This year I pulled the Dinnies and was the first person from India to do so. Next year I will be participating in the rest of the events.

Well done Fergus!! I was at the Gathering and thought you did really well for your first go at the Games! I was willing that fourth stone on the final stone run to go up - you’ll get it next time!! Was hoping to say how much I enjoy your videos when I saw you at the arena but you looked very determined so didn’t want to disturb you. Really well done again!

I was in Scotland the day before and was fortunate to have the opportunity to become #246 to lift the Dinnie Stones. Unfortunately I had to fly out the day of this event but I now have a big goal for my next trip to Scotland! 💪
