Leena--Philly's my hometown (although I've lived in NY forever!) so ask away! For the kids, The Franklin Institute (as in Ben Franklin...famous Philadelphian) is a must. It has a planetarium and the "beating heart." Bon voyage.
I feel like summer knits take longer, too. It might be the busyness of our schedules, the fact that the yarn/needles/stitches are generally smaller, and/or the fiber makes me knit slower and need to take more breaks. Like you were saying, too, it seems like there are many more steps and particularities that come with summer garments, which is tough when I just wanted "a simple summer tee with a little extra detail."
Thanks for the recommendation on “Hysterical” on Wondery - it was FANTASTIC! I totally binged it and was totally absorbed every minute. Such a compelling story! Thank you!
I’m so glad you liked it as much as I did!! I wish I could forget it and re-listen. So compelling. You might also like The Sound-its about Havana Syndrome which is also fascinating.
@@AnotherKnittingPod Ohh great tip - thanks! I've just added this to my listening list. The Havana Syndrome is fascinating. There is a great 60min episode on RUclips devoted to this where they've compiled all their interviews into one show. Really interesting! Thanks again!
Heyyyy. Try measuring your bra strap and use that, add an elastic thread to your strap and lastly I’d like to suggest knit the straps separately, pin them to your finished garment try it on and see it afterwards-when you have your desired length. You can crochet your straps too. Lastly, if your socks don’t fit your daughter yet make her leg warmers. My daughter and nieces love them.
Thanks for the clarification on the barber cord. I was the one who asked you about it after it stretching out my bamboo tank wip. I did just use it with my cotton merino and it worked perfectly - what a game changer! Thanks for another great podcast!
Good news for you about the shadow wrap heel: it works in every sock context. I’ve used it for toe up, cuff down, and even as an afterthought heel. Enjoy!
Your sock is beautiful!!!! Bravo! It looks so perfect. Denise (earthtones girl) has tried the shadow wrap on toe up and it works! She really loves to geek out on sock construction and tried it. Did you change the artwork on the wall way behind you? It looks so colorful and fun. ❤❤❤
I've made the Travellers hat as soon as it came out and unfowas left disappointed. I should've looked through all if the tester photos before, because it seems like it didn't look this goid on anyone apart from Andrea Mowry herself. When I followed the instructions, I did end up with a scull cap, and I had to rip back and add about 5-6 cm to get the fit I wanted. But still it's frustrating, as the pattern is more expensive than many cardigan patterns, I was expecting more attention to details, especially after the majority of testers ended up with something that looked nothing like her sample
I agree with you. What I’ve noticed is that she tends to wear her hats very high up on her head, so it looks like there is more height than there actually is. Most people pull their hats down lower, so it ends up looking like a skull cap. I’m definitely adding more depth before I start the decreases. Making it in worsted weight has made it fly by!!
Always save your video to savor with a cup of coffee and a favorite knit at a time when Iḿ not distracted or busy. But sometimes it´s hard for me not to watch right away when it pops up as a subscription :-) Have you heard about the Cowltopus MKAL coming in October? I´m still all in with Stephen West, but since I know I can´t keep up, I don´t even try. This cowl seems has similar energy but may be far more doable. Will be my first time. Just sharing. (I don´t think I can share the link.)
Hi Sylvia! So nice to hear from you! Sorry for the delay in responding. Whenever I go out of town it throws me way off. I too am passing on the MKAL this year. It’s just too much for my life right now! I feel like I end up more stressed than happy. I will check out the Cowl MKAL! That’s such a great idea. Much more manageable. Be well, and have a fantastic week. Lots of love from Boulder 💚

I lived in Philly for 5 years. Go to Redding Terminal Market for food. And pretzels in Philly are soooo good (soft).
In Philadelphia my number one recommendation would be the Reading Terminal. Every food you can imagine. Have fun.
This was an absolute blast. We went there every day for lunch and my kids were over the moon!! (I think I gained 10 lbs!!)

Leena! It's Thursday!! Happy to see you. ❤
Thank you for being here my friend!

Does it really work for toe up??
@@AnotherKnittingPod I have done it probably a hundred times. 😊 Remember you’re transitioning to and from a circle going either way. 🥳🎉

I think you should use the solid color yarn to finish the neckline. Beautiful top !
Yes I will, when I finally get around to it!!
Looking forward to next week for your exciting thing to share 😊
Yay! Stay tuned!!
