2024 and I have an 07 Yaris. 265K miles on this bad girl and she’s still loyal. Most people see a little bucket but it’s a testament of for good you treat your car your car will return the favor.
My first belt change. Watching this video now to change my belt. Already loosen the bolt but waiting for Engine to cool down. Thanks for the video. You saved me a few bucks to take this to the Mechanic plus i get to learn something new today ! Never stop learning.
Thx mate, managed to fix my Yaris in less than an hour after the accessory belt snapped on me at 1am last night. Super simple job, a bit tedious and not much space to work with but we eventually got it on and it’s driving so much better
Dam this has to be one of the easiest belt replacements ever. my 2zzge belt replacement was a fucking nightmare and the tensioner was rounded off so 2 guys had to use prybars to loose it just to get the new belt on plus it was super tight
I’m going to fix this myself tomorrow morning to beat the heat, I’ll come back and edit. I know if I go to a shop they’ll quote me probably as much as the car is worth
@@MUSHIN_888 the shop asked me for 1200€ to change the compressor, but the is not that worth. So yes i found way to bypass it with belt 970mm. Works like charm
Yaris 2013 squeaks when it turns on and sometimes when driving. not all the time. replaced the serpentine belt and it still squeaks. could it be anything else
On ours, the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced because it leaks oil onto the belt, which causes it to squeak. Could be the same with yours unless the belt just isn't tight enough. If it's leaking, you could also try re-torqueing the valve cover bolts. I should try that too...
Sounds like you have a loose belt if it's not old. I show how to tighten the belt in the video. If the belt looks old and you don't know how old it is, you might as well replace it before it breaks and takes something else out with it. They are pretty cheap.
Use an OBDII scan tool to see what code was tripped. Scan tools are very cheap now. I suspect the belt may be loose which might trip a low charging error.
The Yaris does not die

I get crap all the time for my 07 yaris but i love it and all of its weird simplicity
I have a 2014! ❤

Excellent! Never stop learning!
Another great video! You definitely have a knack for making these. I changed out my belt thanks to you!
Thank you kindly!
Awesome dude, good job!

Glad to hear it! Drive safe
Awesome. Simple and easy to understand. Thanks
Thanks. Good and simple.

New belts usually stretch some. You might have to re tighten it later.
It's great that there are such cool films as yours. What's next for Toyota?😊😊
Thank you. My next Toyota video will probably be an oil comparison video.
Thanks
Very good job
Best video ever Sr. Well explained 👏
Thank you, glad you like it!
Great video! Thanks for the diagram!
You're quite welcome!
I’ve spent 6 hours trying to do this. It got too cold so i came in. Gonna try the “zip tie trick” tomorrow.
Sorry to hear that but I don't blame you either. It's not easy working in that little space where you can't see anything, especially in the cold.
great video!
Thank you
Thanks.
Great! Subscribed
Perfect great video

The hardest part is getting the new belt on. Take your time. Good luck!

Hello, iam looking for belt size to bypass the ac compressor and also is there going to be problem with the water pump? what do you think. Thank you
Why would u wanna bypass the AC
@@MUSHIN_888 the shop asked me for 1200€ to change the compressor, but the is not that worth. So yes i found way to bypass it with belt 970mm. Works like charm
Does your 12mm bolt have a nut that you have to hold while you tightened & loosened the bolt? Mines does LOL.
Not that I remember.
Unless you have an aftermarket alternator, the thread part that the bolt goes into should be part of the alternator body.
did you can help with 2006 model diagram?
is it the same as 2007 ?
Sorry, it looks much different than the 2007 motor. You'll need to find a different video for that model.
Would this be the same on the ia model?
Yes, that car has a newer engine but the procedure should be essentially the same. The bolts on the alternator could be different sizes.
What. No belt tensioner gauge? :(
What would anyone ever do without a belt tensioner gauge!?

What if I have it too tight? It's starting hard as if the battery is weak.
It's hard to get it too tight but not impossible. Make sure it's tensioned properly as shown in the diagram.
What if it squeaks? I changed my 2012 alternator and the car screams. How do I tell if it's the belt? How do I tighten it?

I have 2017 and i had hard time puting belt on alternator. I think mine could be Yaris IA belt? Can ypu give me part number of OEM thank u
Yaris 2012 same mathed to change bellt
Awesome :)
I did this and my check engine light came on later on the day what can it rechecked everything and its seems rigit

Shot out to Mr Venny ❤😂
What the belt number?
There's a link to the belt in the description below the video.
❤
{Clicks tongue} noice
That bottom screws a b
Just wait until you need to remove it completely to replace the alternator...
