    2024 and I have an 07 Yaris. 265K miles on this bad girl and she’s still loyal. Most people see a little bucket but it’s a testament of for good you treat your car your car will return the favor.

    Thx mate, managed to fix my Yaris in less than an hour after the accessory belt snapped on me at 1am last night. Super simple job, a bit tedious and not much space to work with but we eventually got it on and it’s driving so much better

    Dam this has to be one of the easiest belt replacements ever. my 2zzge belt replacement was a fucking nightmare and the tensioner was rounded off so 2 guys had to use prybars to loose it just to get the new belt on plus it was super tight

    @billburgess9100 3 месяца назад +1

    New belts usually stretch some. You might have to re tighten it later.

      Sorry to hear that but I don't blame you either. It's not easy working in that little space where you can't see anything, especially in the cold.

      @@MUSHIN_888 the shop asked me for 1200€ to change the compressor, but the is not that worth. So yes i found way to bypass it with belt 970mm. Works like charm

  • @MrSeeindouble

    Does your 12mm bolt have a nut that you have to hold while you tightened & loosened the bolt? Mines does LOL.

      Unless you have an aftermarket alternator, the thread part that the bolt goes into should be part of the alternator body.

    is it the same as 2007 ?

    • @EndlessMoneyPits

      Sorry, it looks much different than the 2007 motor. You'll need to find a different video for that model.

  • @AprilBaranski

    Would this be the same on the ia model?

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  Год назад

      Yes, that car has a newer engine but the procedure should be essentially the same. The bolts on the alternator could be different sizes.

    Yaris 2013 squeaks when it turns on and sometimes when driving. not all the time. replaced the serpentine belt and it still squeaks. could it be anything else

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  4 месяца назад +1

      On ours, the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced because it leaks oil onto the belt, which causes it to squeak. Could be the same with yours unless the belt just isn't tight enough. If it's leaking, you could also try re-torqueing the valve cover bolts. I should try that too...

  • @TopJimmyCooks1984
    @TopJimmyCooks1984 Год назад

    What if I have it too tight? It's starting hard as if the battery is weak.

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  Год назад

      It's hard to get it too tight but not impossible. Make sure it's tensioned properly as shown in the diagram.

  • @katk8798
    @katk8798 Год назад

    What if it squeaks? I changed my 2012 alternator and the car screams. How do I tell if it's the belt? How do I tighten it?

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  Год назад +1

      Sounds like you have a loose belt if it's not old. I show how to tighten the belt in the video. If the belt looks old and you don't know how old it is, you might as well replace it before it breaks and takes something else out with it. They are pretty cheap.

    • @EndlessMoneyPits
      @EndlessMoneyPits  Год назад +1

      Use an OBDII scan tool to see what code was tripped. Scan tools are very cheap now. I suspect the belt may be loose which might trip a low charging error.
