I have a 2013 Toyota Yaris and I think you've convinced me that I can do this. It really doesn't look too difficult and could save me a couple hundred bucks.
best one i seen so far ps like he said be careful where you pry. don’t pry on the vvt electric solenoid that will break and oil will come out doh also most people miss why these belts slip when worn the little grooves widen out and the belt bottoms out so doesn’t get traction from the sides anymore. they actually give gauges away to check if it’s that. Tighten it all you want if the grooves are worn out and it will still slip on a yaris
Best video about how to replace a serpentine belt for Toyota Yaris 2. We see all the steps and the differents éléments. Thank you for the tip , good job and continue !
I didn't take the splash guards off, but yeah. That helped a lot. Just washed my hands after getting it done. That F'n 14mm had to of been put on with an impact.
Is it common for the 14 mm bolt to seize up? My belt came off and when inwentnto put a new one on the 12mm came loose no problem. Now the 14 is close to getting rounded off
What year Yaris is this to? My daughter has a 2012 Yaris, four door sedan. The squealing sound from the pully is agonizing and I want to fix it. Great video, very informative! Thank you 😊
They should take care of that at no charge if it was replaced by them just recently..if u press down in the middle does it have a lot of movement or does it not have much give? If it does then maybe it may just need tightening
I replaced mine and the engine started to vibrate. I loosened the bolt placement by 1/2 from where the old one was. No more vibration car feels different now. Also it still squeals especially when turning the wheel. Why could that be?
Thank you boss!
Very helpful, saved me from the embarrassment when rolling through the neighbourhood in the morning 😬
Thanks for the video, good explanation especially the part where you mention the 90 degrees thing, I never knew how tight it should be.
Thank you🙂
I don’t know anything about cars but you explained this video so detailed it makes me want to change it myself😅
Thank you🙂 im sure u can if u choose to do so👍
Your bad asf drop ur ig

3:09 You are the only one that mentions how to visually check if the belt fits. Thanks!
Thank you🙂

Thank you for making this video. My 2012 Yaris needs a new belt.

@@CarlPapa88 yea they can be on there pretty tight especially with rust (oxidation) that accumlates...glad u were able to get it done..great job🙂👍
@@CarlPapa88 I'm sure mine was threadlocked and air wrenched. I'm going to have to use a pipe or a huge extension 😤
How do we know if we also need to replace the tensioner?
Thank you very much this was the best video I could find!
Thank you🙂
Do you have to loosen lower bolt... i watched another video where guy said it was unnecessary.
Thanks a lot! Very helpful. Gonna start this first thing tomorrow morning.
Hopefully all goes well🙂👍 good luck
Very helpful video. Just subbed too. Keep up the good work!
Thank you🙂 i really appreciate it

Its not common but it can happen, since that bolt seems to be tighter than the other and then u add rust to it to make it harder to loosen
I'm having a hell of a time with mine. I might update when I finally either snap it or hopefully get it to play ball.
Cool sorted
Perfect video!!
Great vid , Thanks for posting up.

Well the one in video is also a 2012, and yea that noise was horrible especially on cold mornings
great video.. any tips for making it easier to work this job in such a small / tight area
well theres a lot more room to work if u lower the splash shield behind the passenger side wheel and that does make it easier to do
@@backyardchevy328 awesome.. i figured this may be the answer, as you showed here for getting a better view... can't wait to give it a try!!
@@caseymoto hopefully it makes it easier for u as well🙂👍
Very helpful! Thank you.
Nicely done! But what's the part no. of the first (longer) belt?
Thank you:) its actually the one on thumbnail k040476
BEST VIDEO ON THIS, THANK YOU!
Thank you🙂

I just had mine replaced by the dealership but a week later the squealing is worse. Should I try to tighten it like you do here with the crow bar?

Should I replace my harmonic balance too? My car is having electrical
Do u notice any damage to it? Cracked rubber etc? Or battery light on when driving?
very helpful! thank you!!
Thank you🙂
thanks
What belt size do you recommend for 2008 Toyota Yaris?
get the bando 4pk1180. It's what the OEM toyota one is and you can save $20

Normally thats caused by the belt still slipping..so it may be slightly not up to tension
electric steering loads up the alternator and makes it slip
air con will too and fan on high
Check your power steering belt for wear.
thnx
God bless you
hi this car is with aircon?
I dont like gates belts coz they are stretchy. And noise will come back
I changed my belt and it still squeaks like crazy
Can u do my car?
helloooooo 🥰🥰🥰
