- We can finally all let out a collective sigh as we have approached the end of this mess of a LIB season. Yet somehow I feel like we have even more questions and no idea who any of these people are. What's your take on the reunion?

I'm still very much skeptical of Clay. He talks a very good game, but his actions rarely match his words. I've seen too many men utilize and weaponize "therapy speak" in order to manipulate people and garner sympathy. If he's genuinely on the path to healing and making a change that's great, but he can also be saying these things in order to clean up his public image after what he did and said to AD in the last episode. Ultimately we'll never know if he's genuine or not because the show is over.
He’s been saying he’s been intending to get therapy since the beginning of the season, he’s very aware of his flaws and he’s someone who genuinely wants to be a better man, I think clay is someone who has huge potential to be a great guy, because apart of it is his ability to take accountability and recognize his problems, he just has trouble taking steps to change them. I’m glad he’s getting therapy, and I believe he is

The stiff awkward posture of clay made me laugh the whole time. He was not paying attention. I can imagine his very basic thoughts “ I’m going to sit straight and look handsome. “ “ nod and smile “

I liked Nick and Vanessa during this reunion. It felt like the producers/Netflix allowed them to let loose a little more and it really endeared them to me! I appreciate that they seemingly took all our criticisms and changed up the way they’re approaching this show.
They still didn’t ask A LOT of questions about the actual show. They still do this thing where they agree on a reunion storyline.
I was flabbergasted how much better they did on this one! Loved it!
Jimmy is such a coward, that's why his conversation with jess matters cause he talked shit and couldn't be honest about it, I dont like the people like him, hes the kinda guy that smiles at you while saying you're the worse to the rest of the world
I just think he's a party boy. The lights are on but no one is home. He's creeping on AD now according to an interview that he did.
Makes me sick bc most people don't care but he's just lying right in our faces when there's evidence and footage of the truth

In one of her interviews she said when she met Jimmy she knew she dodged a bullet and he wasn't her type physically. I think his interview came out after that. Maybe that made him a salty Sally. @@cozycasasmr4510
Not sure if you have seen the channel "Psychology in Seattle", but he had a video on Love is Blind today based on some inside information from someone that worked on this season that was really interesting it you believe it to be true. The insider did say that Laura's bean dip comment was clearly a joke as it was filmed, but also that AD did come to Laura after on camera to discuss how uncomfortable all of the comments about her body that night from Jimmy, Chelsea, Jeramy, and Laura. If true, it's really unfortunate they chose to leave those scenes out as I agree Laura needed to apologize which she says she did.
I also would have loved to here from AD at the reunion after Laura's final comment as her face could have been another edit since they filmed this two and a half weeks ago and was cut down from roughly four hours according to Natalie's sources on her podcast with Deepti.

The guy who was on I believe last season who use Visine to create tears…literally did a pseudo TED talk about how he planned the whole thing and had a girlfriend, now fiancé, the whole time. We’re only gonna see more Trevors I’m afraid. The longer this show goes on.
If they wanted to do a separate get-together they should’ve done that instead of taking up so much time with past season catch-ups.
I also didn’t expect nick and Vanessa to push back on a lot of what they did. Last season was treacherous haha

I have to say, while Nick & Vanessa did do a better job holding people's feet to the fire, it does upset me a lot how much Chelsea received such a forgiving edit. Especially with abrasive and judgemental she was with many of the other messed up situations it's insane how much has doesn't have to take accountability. Everyone's allowed to have their opinions, but the inabillity to look at herself in a realistic life is mindblowing with hypocricy.
It seemed like Chelsea and Kenneth sorta got a pass. I saw one comment say that the show already had enough villains and didnt want to go into it. Now that you say this, Im realizing Nick and Vanessa mostly go after people who threatened the show, Sarah Ann with leaks and Trevor with… everything he did
@@membriash Good point, as it was Laura who brought up bean dip as well (where AD's discomfort says it all). I dislike that it holding people's feet to the fire was more about the appearance of the show than about actual unhealthy problems. It does make it look like Sarah Ann is right that it's more for entertainment than love. It adds to my appreciation for your channel that you both do call people out!
They probably thought she had enough public flogging on social media. I thought Vanessa and Nick were a bit biased. Jessica did an interview a few weeks ago and she told people Jimmy and Chelsea broke up. That was before the end of the engagement even aired so it is odd to tell Sarah that she spoiled the show because the Internet sleuths figured out she was at Jeramy's. Very odd.
I implore you to listen to the podcast Chelsea just did. Jimmy is not the hero he tried to seem like when cameras were rolling.

They didn’t talk to Chelsea as much as I would’ve liked.. insecurity is one thing but what about all the fake accusations she made or always saying they were both in the wrong to avoid apologizing
They honestly barely touched the surface of everyone. It was disappointing in that way.
I think her insecurity might be affecting her experience and memory, to be fair. But reunion or not, that (like Clay’s issues) are on her to fix.
Please listen to the podcast she just did. Her accusations weren’t exactly baseless. He isn’t the saint he wanted to be portrayed as. 😣
For one thing, she never apologized for gaslighting Jimmy because the Megan Fox was definitely that😂 And the “Me too, my guy, me too” after Jimmy finished what he was saying kinda annoyed me. I wish she would just own it up.
They need to prevet them for mental and physical and criminal and 4 weeks before they go, they need to check how single they are. If they recruit them 6 months prior and they date and get serious, there is motivation to not update the show. But why would a show presume they have not gotten serious with someone in meantime.
This was my favorite reunion because Nick and Vanessa had a good approach with each situation. I felt like Vanessa was a little harsh with her delivery in previous Reunions. Kudos Lachey's
Looking back and reading other takes they were far from perfect per usual, but I do think some of their fire was warranted and was a bit refreshing to watch
I fully believe they ambushed Trevor. He had NO IDEA he was coming to talk about that. He was clearly right there on screen trying to come up with how to spin it, but as Nick and Vanessa continued to go in on him he quickly realized that wasn't going to work and that's why he just wanted out of there.
Why do you think that? He said he had a whole speech planned to say. I don’t think he was ambushed and he knew they were going to question him about the girlfriend he had while filming. Now did he know exactly how they were going to by pulling up the text messages and reading them out and grilling him so hard… probably not. I think maybe he just got out there in the crowd and froze but imo he definitely wasn’t ambushed about why he was appearing. He wanted his 3 minutes and he probably should have stayed home and given a written statement for lib to read.
@@RedBunni1024 that's entirely possible, but i don't think his speech was on that topic specifically. Or maybe it was going to skirt the subject thinking he'd be able to control the narrative. One thing is for sure though nothing about that reunion went anything like he was prepared for. And production definitely didn't clue him in on the massacre that was coming.

Why is everyone congratulating Clay for crying (almost crying/quivering), when in last episode those same people were clapping and celebrating Clay’s Mom for shutting his Dad down. When the Dad tried to turn the water works on, she rolled her eyes and didn’t let him use his tools of manipulation.
I mean, I think there’s a big difference between Clay and his dad, that’s why. Clay’s dad seems like a very selfish narcissist who makes excuses for his behavior. Clay has some of the same tendencies, but the difference is, Clay knows this, he knows it’s wrong, and he wants to be better. During the father/mother conversation, Clay’s dad tried to get sympathy because “it’s not my fault!” While Clay says he did the work on himself, he was wrong, and knows he needs to do better. Clay’s voice tremble and taking accountability show real genuine emotion. Clay’s dad was all “it’s not my fault, my dad wasn’t around, poor me feel bad for me, me me me!!” The two conversations could not be further apart. It’s like comparing apples and chairs.
I haven't thought that he is genuine since I watched the wedding episode. He was telling the producers one thing and telling AD something different.

I heard there is a lawsuit againtst LIB for mistreatment of the cast. Two components of the suit are not enough sleep, and hardly any food, but lots of alcohol. Hence the comment from Izzy that the thing he misses most about being on the show was the food, and then there was a huge spread of food at the end of the reunion. 😂

Just wanted to jump in & say I’m on Chelsea’s side with the “exposing” friends thing, Jimmy really tried to say he had never been with or touched them during the argument & Chelsea called him out for lying to her face. Though she was definitely insecure coming into the show, he tried to make it seem like she was insecure about his friends for zero reason at all when there was a valid reason as to why. Personally, I don’t think him sharing something in confidence gives him the right to lie about it to her & the world to make himself seem better & Chelsea crazy.
Also pretty sure at one point Jimmy says “one of them” which to me implies that he had slept with possibly the other or another female friend, which honestly, red flag to me if you’re friends with multiple women you slept with because “you can’t get emotional with the guys like you can the girls”.
Also adding Jess has every right to be mad at Jimmy saying she left after 10 minutes. Weird to me that we’re lending Jimmy so much grace when he’s lied multiple times to make the women he’s been with on the show look bad.
I just don't really understand why he would bring the friend he slept with on the show. He was gas lighting (that's such an overused word I'm starting to hate it lol) her by telling her they never slept together when they both knew that wasn't the case. She hadn't even said anything about him sleeping with the friend so to just random lie to her on camera to make her look like she was getting upset over nothing is so sketchy. There is so much more going on in that convo that I think a lot of people miss because Jimmy is so stoic and Chelsea is emotional. On optics alone Chelsea already looks bad because she's not composed.
I feel you on Clay. I, too, misted. I want Brett to take him under his wing- I loved their interaction so much.
Im hoping he sticks to getting better and it isnt just a tactic to clear his name. I know it can go either way but Im inclined to at least be hopeful with Clay

I think what Jess was trying to say is that he lied and made her look bad by saying she stormed out in 10 mins which wasn’t true and if she got a good edit, why would Netflix air her not so good moments. His comments were unnecessary and untrue and I see why she was upset because why lie about something so petty.He also called her a mean girl.
Watch AD on the Viall Files. She said Clay promised her multiple times he would not say no at the altar. She told him to break up with her before she put on the dress
I kinda want to dig into these side vids a bit, and the other half of me wants to move on. This season was so messy and kinda exhausting. I might check it out though, thank you for the suggestion!

I believe they gathered everyone to demonstrate their commitment to treating people well during the show, especially amidst lawsuits alleging insufficient provision of food and other amenities. This is likely why they enthusiastically celebrated the food and provided feedback about the show.
Clay is connected to his emotions! He is truly doing the emotional inner work. I applaud him for growing and being vulnerable in front of all of us. He’s real.
29:16 Imo it does matter what Jimmy is saying about Jess in interviews and we should care because he is saying she stormed out of the pods after 10 minutes. They took a break after an hour and 23 mins and then came back for an additional 50 minutes. So their last date when he decides it was so horrible that he goes into the next date with Chelsea he tells her he loves her, he says that date was 10 minutes. This calls into question his perception of pretty much everything. Why is he going on interviews saying it was only 10 minutes? A few possibilities:
1) He’s lying and knows it was 2+ hours, or maybe at least an hour+. He is mad at Jess for some reason and is trying to paint her in a bad light.
2) He was so overwhelmed and anxious but bc he presents as avoidant he was just quiet and shut down. Jess overloaded him with her feelings in the letter and he was paralyzed in his anxiety and time was kind of standing still for him, like slo mo.
Those are really the only 2 I can think of but I’m sure there are more. Seems like Jimmy has a lot of hostility for Jess so that’s interesting.
Also taking note that Chelsea as well has a perception problem and when recounting events that we have seen recorded she tells them different to what we saw (which is somewhat possible due to editing but not completely) so it seems like her and Jimmy both have this perception problem, which I can only imagine is gasoline to all their arguments in their relationship since they likely have vastly different, seemingly wrong, recounts of events. We saw it with the AD situation on the first get together at the honeymoon.
Hey my favorite couple! If you haven’t already listened, Chelsea did a podcast with Sarah Alysse, and it is VERY eye opening. Jimmy isn’t the saint he wanted to look like on camera. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the things that came out during the podcast. Some of the things he did were so horrible. 😮
Also, I may have made this comment before, but as for the bff/sex thing. Chelsea was actually the THIRD person to bring it up. Jimmy admitted to telling her in the pods. He had no control over what was or wasn’t shown from the pods. They very well could have aired that, but he didn’t seem too worried then? Second, the bff made it pretty clear during that lunch that she had a sexual past with Jimmy. Lastly, during that fight, she responded with “you f’ed her!” Bcuz he had just said nothing physical had ever happened. He was hoping Chelsea would keep his secret, so he could keep looking good on camera. 😣 i believe he 100% used it as his excuse for dumping her. I think you’ve talked a bit about this part too, but apparently Jimmy was only “nice Jimmy” when cameras were rolling. So her unhinged whining was in response to being basically ignored when cameras were off. Anyway, I think Chelsea has gotten an unfair edit and unfair response from the public, and I know you both are very good about hearing all sides to make an opinion, so I hope you watch and make a video response! 💙

I think the production decided to air the argument between Chelsea and Jimmy mainly because it’s a breaking point for them. If they cut it, we wouldn’t know why jimmy made such decision of not going to the alter.

Clay tells on himself ALL the time. Case in point: He said “I went to therapy” not “I’m in therapy”. There a lot being said by what’s not said.
O personally cared about the Jessica/ Jimmy disagreement, bc words are powerful so he misrepresented her on national TV and I get why she was belaboring the point. I think they could've gone harder on Chelsea and Kenneth!
I agree. If I was Jess I would want to clear that up because he was telling bold face lies. I would've done the same but wouldn't be as composed as her. I also thought they could've gone harder on Kenneth but I feel like they were just trying to save face because of his profession. I guess it wasn't worth it considering the impact it could have on him as a leader at his school

I don't think the show should be judged by how many people actually get married. Many people date for years and DON'T ever get married. They should be judged by how honest and real the people are. No more of the clout chasers and liars, please.

Production didn't just air Jimmy's secret. They milked it for drama. But it was in Jimmy's break up speech, so I guess they do need to see it.

In an alternate universe i wonder if all the ladies would have froze Sarah Anne out if Laura didn't have such a strong and dominant energy . I hate to use the word alpha because it's so cheesy but she strikes me as that archetype and the other women fall in line. I remember watching the first season and there was this girl. I think her name was Jessica. She got rejected by this barnette guy who went with another girl and from what i remember the other girls were way more understanding and empathetic to her even though she was kind of hitting on the guy that rejected her after the pods.
She seems exactly like that, I know the type you mean.
Kinda makes me sad that Chelsea is getting dragged and Jimmy almost gets away with his behavior. Of course bringing up something on camera when she was asked not to was wrong but I can understand that it was deeply bothering her. I think Jimmy was, either intentionally or unintentionally, making Chelsea look crazy. Getting upset the first fight they had on camera when she was trying to express her feeling Jimmy pulling away. Even the last big fight they had he was basically denying having a physical relationship with one of his girlfriends which is what caused Chelsea to blurt that secret out. (Kind of curious if he told that secret before or after she met Jimmy’s friends) And with this reunion episode Jess pointing out that he made up this idea that their last date only lasted 10 minutes trying to make her look like the bad guy. Just seems like Jimmy doesn’t want to look like the bad guy and ends up trying to throw that all on Chelsea.

I completely agree with you. People don't act cool calm and collected when someone is gaslighting them. That's why malicious people do it. The movie the term is based on is really interesting. I don't believe Jimmy is malicious but it could have been unintentional. Chelsea did a podcast the other day and Jimmy told her he was tired so he was going to sleep at his place and then he accidentally butt dialed her and it was clear he was out partying and not in bed going to sleep 🥴 yikes
Totally. And the interview Jess did she mentioned that Jimmy had been going out a lot more than just that one night for a friends birthday.

I 100% agree with what you said about clay! I never thought he was ready for marriage, but as a person, I was rooting for him!! He never played the victim and I really respect him. He seems super genuine.

I understand the frustration with clay but saying “then why are we not married” is kinda silly. He’s clearly going through stuff, forcing himself to get married before he was ready just so she wouldn’t leave is not the ideal scenario either.

So, what I realized about “The Traitors” is that the UK and Australian versions are awesome. The US version sucks because they keep casting these reality personalities that just aren’t that interesting. If they would just take a beat from the other two countries and cast normal people who could really use that money it would be just as great as the Australian version which was juicy

I saw Jeramy IG’s story. He said J & L had to reenact the location fight for the camera. He did apologize for how he handled the Laura situation, but he does not regret how it turned out as in being with Sarah Ann now. I feel like it’s just so complicated because the experiment is such a unique experience.
Then I watched Sarah Ann’s page 6 interview and I feel like it adds more context because it gives her a chance to explain herself without everyone ganging up on her. I dunno… I just hate seeing people getting bullied.
Tbh… Sarah Ann, Jeramy, and Trevor were wrong but I really feel like it crossed over to bullying. Like the “Cole” situation from the past reunions.
It’s interesting that people all over the internet are always promoting mental health and kindness. But also love seeing people getting torn down & bullied on TV. Trevor did awful things but seeing him on TV being treated like that made me feel bad for him. I dunno why I feel bad for him if he’s so awful. I just don’t like seeing people get bullied. 😢
I was team Jess all the way but I changed my mind. I think she’s a mean girl, but she’s good at her wording things and she knows how to say things and get away with it. If you pay attention she’s called Chelsea ugly twice in the season but she did it in a way that she can’t be called out. Like when she told Jimmy he’s going to need his epipen when he sees what he missed out on. At first I loved that moment. It was funny. But now looking back I see how clever she is at putting someone down while elevations herself. But in a way where you can’t call her out because of how cleverly she words things. Second time she called Chelsea ugly was when she met up with Laura and she said Jimmy’s ex-gfs look like her. We can read between the lines of what she’s trying to say. And how when he sees her it’s going to be temptation etc. Jess is really good at wording and saying things without incriminating herself. Her friendship with Chelsea seems fake and only to save face so she wouldn’t come out looking bad. It doesn’t feel authentic. She’s just smart.
Yes great points! I feel like they brought Trevor on for ratings tbh. The stuff he did with the ex gf ( allegedly threatened to send her nudes aka revenge porn which depended on the state is illegal) was pretty dark. I think they should have cut ties with him completely.
I hear that. It seems like they only took a sliver of what was done seriously and ignored the more raw, real, and insidious parts. My first impression was glad that the lacheys were trying to tackle some controversy but on reflection it was really targetted what they did and did not deal with. Not to mention Nick is a pretty rough dude. His mandated anger management and stuff, he has very little moral high ground

The part that ticks me off abt Jimmy and the bff thing is, he admits to telling Chelsea in the pods! So how did he know that the show wouldn’t air that footage and out the friend?! Not to mention, the friend outs herself by talking abt jimmy and how he has sex. So by the time Chelsea said it (and didn’t name which friend btw), the viewers had already deduced who it was at least once, if they hadn’t showed him talking abt it in the pods. If they had showed it, Chelsea would have been the third! So I think it’s ridiculous to use that as the main reason he wouldn’t marry her. To me, it was either just an excuse for him to use, or he was that mad because he still had feelings for the best friend. If I had to guess, I’d bet my bottom dollar those friends asked HIM to be on the show, and he wanted to please them. I think that whole situation is just a mess. It’s inappropriate to have bffs that you text/call daily and have had slept with, when you’re engaged. I agree that Chelsea and her ex aren’t really friends, and she said it to save face. You can tell by the way she angrily says “I don’t hang out with him, I don’t!” But yeah, I agree that Chelsea shouldn’t have said it, I just think the fault ultimately lies w Jimmy for putting those two on the show, and not stepping back (to use his words) when he got engaged. HIS actions put them front and center. Chelsea didn’t choose for them to be on the show, nor for her fiancé to be besties with a girl he slept with. There was no other way this situation would have gone, imo. Esp with somebody as insecure as Chelsea.

I very much agree with this. I felt like I was going crazy because people kept saying it was her fault that that girl got outed but it was Jimmy who said who it actually was.
He told her he had girlfriends in the pods. He only trusted her with confidential info after they became engaged. People are pulling a Chelsea (twisting facts) to try and make him some bad guy. 😂
@@pnwladydisagree. He said he told her about them in the pods. Since we didn’t hear it, we don’t know if he told her about the sex part then or not. However, in another interview, he said he did tell her that in pods. Like the sex/bff thing specifically. That being said, the friend still outed herself. Also, Jimmy still tried to look good on camera by saying nothing physical had happened with his friends, which prompted her response that he f’ed her. CT isn't too old to do The Challenge 🤣 He won seasons 36 and 37 (39 was the one that just aired) Plus, he will be on season 40 that just started filming. He was going through a bad divorce after season 37 so that is probably more of the reason he wasn't on season 38. Season 39 was only for people who never won and who had only been on like 3 or 4 seasons or less.
(Not that yall are bad for not knowing that. I'm just a die-hard Challenge fan who has been there since RealWorld vs Road Rules. There was even an earlier start but I'm too old to remember further back😅)
We watched a lot of seasons but its been a few years. I didnt know he was still crushing it, I figured peak years for the challenge matched a lot of sports where they drop off by his age. Kinda makes me want to get back into it
@membriash You're right, though. I think it'll continuously get harder to keep up with or out perform the younger ones. I think CT is a well-rounded competitor, but his social abilities in the game help him make it farther too. I was so happy to see him enjoying himself and be loved by all the cast of The Traitors. I think it was a nice step back into the tv and competition world after such a hard time. 🥺
The past few seasons of The Challenge haven't been the best so idk if yall are missing much not watching. Lol. I am excited for season 40, though. They have competitors from all eras of the show.

His declaration to AD, why announce she is the love of his life at the reunion? Seems very calculated. If he felt that way, he would be treating her as such and he does not.

Nick is garbage. He needs to self reflect. He went on television to become famous. Remember Newlyweds? For him to act holier than thou is disgusting. I'm a scientist, Nick needs to stop calling the show an experiment. It's a failure. At this point 300 people have appeared on the show. 6 couples appear successful, and NO one has become actually famous from the show. The only people who know these folks are those of us who watch the show, and even me ...who has watched every season, I can only name a couple of people. And zero last names. There's no clout by being on this show
You should at least acknowledge that if a white guy made the comments that Clay did about black men in marriage, they would have been called a racist. Even if that was "their experience" in their social circle.
