    I remember this SO vividly. I had no idea it was the Good Looking Father Singing Disney when the interview began, but oh wow. It’s all coming back in flashes. He said his cheating was okay because “God had forgiven him” lmao. I detested him back then and, as it happens, I apparently still do to this day. I don’t know how to feel about it tbh

    I just finished watching this documentary, and I found it interesting to watch as a person who has never cheated I feel the breach was karma for those involved. They were scamming cat-fishing people with empty accounts was alarming too.

    SOME people always claiming the "DEVIL" is BUSY 😒..... Everything is NOT "Satan" driven. SOME people give "Satan" way too much credit for their OWN CHOICES 🤨🤨 . I'm happy that you two called that out ☺️.
    I wasn't going to watch this show ; but now I'm going to. So I can keep up with your channel. ☺️😉

    This video is a pleasant post-shift surprise! I'm currently in grad school for social work and bartending to survive, so I absolutely could use you all's smart + hilarious commentary on one of my favorite scandalous brands! When I was younger we used to call our friends' dads at like 4am and impersonate an associate from Ashley Madison. We were so sorry to inform him there had been a data breach. Their identities could be compromised. Terribly sorry; will, of course, refund.

    I like your commentary about Christian vs Secular ideas. I think it is morals, accountability and ethics vs lack thereof honestly. The lack of accountability is insane, it just seems like all these people are just line items on a spreadsheet, just a number they are avoiding anything personal, because it's real if its personal.

    3:48 Hard agree. I wish our society were not so puritanical and would embrace ethical non-monogamy more. Consenting adults should be able to do what they want to do but if you have committed yourself to someone and decide to break that commitment that's the problem.

    Admittedly, if you've gone down enough internet rabbit holes on the topic, a lot of this isn't entirely new info, but I found the interviews really interesting to see so many viewpoints connected to the company.

    I'm going to paraphrase Kennie JD here, and say that people who are deeply insecure will never be satisfied with the affirmation and love of just one person. I don't think it matters even if someone is the "perfect" spouse who does all the traditional things that they think will keep the other happy. The issue is internal to the person who'd rather have an affair than do any introspection about their emotional needs. I really hope the spouses who got cheated on don't blame themselves or try to double down on the conservative gender roles because that seems like it will just bring them more pain.
    Ngl, I didn't expect the "everyone in my area" guy to admit that what he wanted was attention and validation and not necessarily sex. Guess it's easier to pay exorbitant fees, sneak around, lie, and risk your family imploding than to go to therapy or admit you have emotional needs, huh?
    My memory might be a little fuzzy because I was still a teen in 2001, but wasn't it a period where we heard a lot about "swinging"? My understanding was that this was something couples did together with both parties' consent and knowledge. So idk, sounds to me like the people on that app just wanted to do whatever while keeping their partners "for themselves" and in the dark.
    I feel like almost everyone in this documentary needs to go to therapy. And also read about ethical non-monogamy.

    This documentary was disgusting. As someone who has a recent experience with infidelity that only came to light because of a STI, I think these people are horrible. Especially that “Christian” guy. A decent person would not have worked for that company either. The utter devastation that the affair caused my family, my mental health, my physical health, can’t even be quantified.

    “I’ll be with someone and then I’ll cheat on them… and then I’ll get with somebody else… and I’ll say that I won’t cheat on this one… and then I’ll cheat on them.”
    This person is a TERRIBLE choice for an ethical non-monogamous relationship because they have no idea why they’re being so deceptive and dishonest to themselves and to the people they’re with. Ethical non-monogamous relationships, require good insight, self knowledge, and communication skills.
    (Not ethically non- monogamous myself)

    I believe AM did nothing wrong, except for them charging 20 bux to allegedly delete your profile but never actually doing it. Do we blackmail amd force liquor stores because they facilitate alcohol to alcoholics who maybe led to their death? No because people who wanna do something wrong will find a way to do it. Christian boy was definitely being shady for him to get an AM ad. It wasn't just planted in his head out of nowhere.

    • @ajgjngfthyfbk7564
      @ajgjngfthyfbk7564 21 день назад +2

      The difference is that there is a responsible way to consume alcohol. Not everyone who buys a bottle of wine is an alcoholic, in fact the average adult occasionally drinks some type of alcohol without going overboard. And even people who are alcoholic, while harming themselves, are not necessarily also harming other people. But the act of cheating is inherently harmful to other people, and will always hurt someone. Profiting from that, lying to distressed spouses on the phone, and running giant advertisement campaigns to promote and normalize cheating is very different from simply selling alcohol.

      Im not sure if you watched our commentary, but our issue is clearly around deception, not hookups. We praise one of the couples presented that have an open relationship. Decieving your partner is an asshole behavior, and I stand by that, but hooking up above board is totally fine if consent is involved

    • @membriash
      @membriash  Месяц назад +6

      @@leahharing6916 what people cant do is tell you how to live your life as long as it doesnt infringe on others’ rights. It is the base for how most societies are formed. And thats why people judge you, to make sure you arent infringing others’ rights. Anyone can, and does judge everyone else around them, its base human behavior. You judge people and their decisions, you weigh them based on your own values and morals. Even to say “i dont judge this behavior” is to give it a pass, to judge that it is acceptable enough that you arent affected by it. This whole youtube channel is a series of videos judging behavior of individuals based on our own experience as a couple and people. Its what we do. Of course these are just my opinions. Im not asking you to justify past decisions, you felt the need to share. I wish you well, and Im glad to hear your relationship is healthy now
