@@BarbieLove I just drove from my home outside Atlanta up to Greenville to pick up a Barbie megahaul from the adult owner. I received her American Girl but when I checked her knees, it revealed she had been moved to the body of a bubble cut during the late 80s, causing a small neck split. If I try to replace the body, it seems likely the split will open. Beside the split, her head looks good. The body she's on isn't damaged. I don't really want to sell her but she's technically broken and I do restore my dolls. Not sure if a body replacement would be worth the upside or if I should leave her as she is. What do you think?
@Kleopatra Caesar I would probably leave her until I found a body with a smaller neck knob, for a reasonable price. Miss Barbie has the smallest and would be the correct body type. Probably wouldn't make the split worse. But if you can glue her split on the body she is on already (and it stay.) I would do that. Do you think the neck knob is too big and caused the split? I for sure adapt different heads to different bodies , sometimes it is the best option at the time. Congrats on your haul!!!
@@BarbieLove Thanks for telling me which body to find. It does look upon inspection that the knob is slightly too large and the vinyl tore from being played with on the large knob. I'll leave her for now and attempt the split repair after some research. Her hair color is buttery, giving the impression of a faded tetian, but the owner regarded her as blonde. Is there a safe way to attempt to restore her hair color if it was blonde? I also got a bubble cut head that has dramatically browned.
@@SisterWomen I don’t know about the hair color. But you can lighten a dark face. One way is to wet it and cover in comet . Let stand for a few hours . Keep repeating. Don’t use one with blue specks in it. That will stain the doll. Also when it get hotter weather cover face with Vaseline and sit in sun. I have had great success with both ways.
The Ken in the military outfit was the Army/Air Force costume. It came with both tan (Army) and navy blue (Air Force) pieces so that you could make the uniform either Army or Air Force by changing out the parts. So you actually got two outfits in one if you got all the parts; you may be missing some of them; there should be a tan hat, belt, socks and brown shoes for Army and blue hat, belt, socks and black shoes for the Air Force, plus a wing pin that clips over the shirt pocket.
Thanks, I thought that may be the case. Been a while since I got this haul, so I will have to check and see if I have all the pieces. Thanks for watching and love you comments.
@@BarbieLove No Lilli dolls here. The UK had their own version of Barbie called Sindy, but I am not a fan - I think her head is too big :D Barbie is my first love as that is what I grew up with. My dad worked in the US and would always bring me back lots of Barbies.
Wow! Is it just me of does that case look extra large?? Poor Ken, it's like they didn't even try when they made him 🤨 Good thing they made some great outfits for him! Great score with the dress and the stands!
Hello! After a few minutes of research I found that your mystery doll looks similar to a Barbie called Midnight Moon Princess Barbie; Circa 2000. Although her lips are more full on the corners... perhaps they were removed by the previous owner? I hope this helps!💖 (I could be wrong of course but this is just my conclusion) ☺️
@@BarbieLove i can’t believe I got it right! My expertise usually lies within the mod era! Thank you for posting so I could help! I reckon you’ll do a wonderful repaint on her lips!💖
Hey Sue. I'd like your advice. I got a Fashion Queen Midge, maybe called Wig Fun, but her head is detached from her body. Her head gas hardened and I'm afraid if I shove it down on the know, it will split. Is it safe to soften it in hot water or perhaps even a safe solution to soak it in? I just need it soft enough to safely attach to the knob.
Just hold the bottom half in hot water ( use thongs) and the neck knob. It doesn’t take long to soften enough to attach. Try after a minutes. If not soft enough soak a little more. Just don’t force or the neck knob will break. Keep repeating till soft enough. It should get really soft and go on easily. Makes sure the water stays hot.

Wow, great finds !! Love the Marsha Brady dress!!
Thank you!! I believe the socks were in there too long knee socks. I just hadn't sorted them. But there is a pair too small for ken.
I love that case.
Thanks it is huge
Casey has a strong southern accent 🤣
yes she does. lol

Thank you so much!! Barbie Friend
What great finds! You are so lucky to be able to find things like this in the US
You make me sad, How about the Bilt LIlli dolls aren't they available there? They are rare here.

It is a big case! I think I may be able to save it. Lots of space. I hate the flocked hair on Ken. The molded hair looks better.
Great finds!!!! Maybe she is the Adams family doll. That was done in the 90s.
I will look one up
I love your videos😇😇
Ah so nice of you, glad you enjoy them!!! Thanks for commenting!
Midnight moon princess
That is what others have said. Y’all must be correct. Don’t know what happened to her lips. Got rubbed off I guess. I kinda like it though. Lol
She might be midnight moon princess she's a newer doll but she might have an older body that happens sometimes
Someone else said Moon Princess also. I think the eyes look like it. I guess the lips are rubbed. Very pale body. But I believe you are right!
Another great haul Sue! Is that doll Kira? I couldn't see the face. Hairspray does work on Solo, that's exactly what I did😊
Maybe fabric glue?? Not Kira. Sorry I didn't get good enough close up>
@@BarbieLove that Casey was so cute. Love those Sleep n Keep cases😊

@@SisterWomen fabulous!!!
Is she a Priscilla Presley doll maybe? But she is too light I’m not sure what doll she is
a few have identified her as a Moonlight Princess doll.
Does she have blue eyes because if she does she might be a 1991 l ooak Barbie doll
I think someone identified her as 2000 Moonlight Moon Princess. Lipstick has been removed a little Thank so much😍 for watching
