The River plate concert is a live pinnacle for this band
This and the Donnington show from the 90s
Live in Munich 2001 matches it. The concerts available on a DVD..
and the bullring concert No Bull in Spain 1996
I guess you're right. Great to see people of all ages enjoy great music.
Personally i will alway treasure the memory of their concert on 29th june 1980 in Namur ( Belgium). Yes i'm that old 😂.
It was the first time they performed with Brian and also the first time they performed songs from Back in Black. I kept and framed the ticket, paid 300 Belgian franks for it back then. about 7,50 Euro 😂. Ok after inflation that would be 30 today but still cheap as F. 🤘❤️
In 2020 , 40yrs later, we put up a statue at the square in front of the venue and in 2021 it was officially renamed Esplanade AC/DC . Brian paid us a visit in april of this year ( 2023) , and seemed pretty pleased with it 😊.
I've seen all the ones available. River Plate is best for epicness.
“Highway to Hell” is the nickname of Highway in Australia, which runs through where original singer Bon Scott lived and ends at a bar called The Raffles. As the highway comes to an end, it turns into a steep decline. Because of this, many drivers have been killed driving fast over that intersection
I was going to say about the highway. Highway is Canning Highway that Perth to Fremantle, Australia. This highway has Bon Scott's favorite spots including Raffles.
Along with their experience on the road prior to the album being made.
I actually never knew that but I saw them on the Highway to Hell to her when I was in 11th grade when they're opening for cheap trick here in Kansas in the United States, and they weren't really well-known yet.
It ended up being a matter of months before Bon Scott died and it was in a fairly small indoor arena in Wichita Kansas, and I tell you what, I've been to so many shows and I've also played in bands my whole life and played in so many venues of different sizes and situations but that is still one of the most amazing concerts I have ever seen.
There's so much detail that I won't go into it but man it was incredible. This song truly belongs to Bon Scott. And to Australia I suppose.❤
@@MrTech226I'm from Kansas USA but saw them on this tour in 11th grade and have loved him and I was so happy I got to see Bon Scott. I love hearing these details from people that know about the Australia side of it.
The band said they called Highway to Hell for the tours the American music industry would put new band on in buses.
The river plate concert is amazing! Argentina never disappoints.
Y’all need to do “Whole Lotta Rosie” from the same show. 🤘🏼🎸🔥
And Thunderstruck.
Definitely 🇨🇦🖖🏻
Would WAY rather hear Bon doing it from the Let There Be Rock album.
concur
@@daseguin Let There Be Rock is in my top 3 albums of all time. Actually #1
Remember, they were in their 60s for this concert. And it rocks so hard.
Brian was 62, everyone else was in their 50s. Still...
punkydoodle4774
50 is old .... 60 is old as fuuuck 😳
unvelievable
Seeing that crowd in sync was awesome!
I love the younger generation knowing every word. Epic!
We were blessed to see AC/DC live around this time. Them live is absolutely Amazing…their age not stopping their energy….Angus is still a Beast!
Please…Whole Lot of Rosie!
G'day Guys! As an Aussie this band is Accadacca! The River plate thing was actually 3 concerts over 3 nights to a total audience of over 230,000 fans...If memory serves it was also the last live show from them...You have to do A Whole Lot of Rosie, For those who are about to Rock(We. Salute You) TNT and of course Let There Be Rock & Hells Bells...You have gone down the rabbit hole so go all the way! Chris!
And the jumping crowd set off seismic equipment....it registered as a small quake!
Nah they had a whole other tour years after this and they just performed a few weeks ago for the first time since 2016
Hola soy de Argentina Buenos Aires, estuve el 2009 y 1996...fué una locura..🧉🧠🇳🇿🇦🇷🌍🤍❤️🤍💪 Argentina no defrauda!! Saludos!
I've had the pleasure of seeing them on 4 different concert tours and They Always put on a Great Show!!!🤘😎
Blessed to have seen AC/DC many times in the 70's-80's, including with Bon Scott ❤
Never got to see Bon Scott dammit
All over 55 yrs to 65 yrs...amazing
They were in their mid-50s when they did this concert, and the majority of the crowd were half their age. Thier vibe transcends time.
Angus is "top totty"
Legendary crowds in Argentina.
And you can see why right here.
"Who Lot of Rosie " and "For those about to Rock" at Riverplate are insane . Just make sure you dont plan on sleeping after watching them you'll be bouncing off the walls.
I saw AC/DC on the Highway to Hell tour and Bon Scott one of the best unique voices in Rock! Sorely missed! I saw AC/DC on Back in Black in 1980 and For Those About to Rock We Salute You in 1981. Brian Johnson was the perfect fit for AC/DC after Bon passed. Brian was a unique voice just like Bon’s voice was unique. Love them both!
I saw them Live on that World Tour, it was epic, you have goosebumps for 2 hours and a half, screaming, jumping, it's an electric place, you are speechless, I feel blessed to have watched them there with Malcolm, Brian and Angus.
Argentina Te Ama AC/DC 🇦🇷💙🇦🇷💪💪
This whole show is insane
Great reaction guys! They are top level rockers.
I saw AC/DC live at Polaris Amphitheater in Columbus, Ohio in '96 during the Ballbreaker tour. Now, I've seen quite a few concerts and this was definitely top 5.
For Those About to Rock is a must as it utilizes black powder cannons as part of the percussion section for the song. When I saw them live there was dust coming down from the ceiling of the arena when the cannons went off.
Another favorite group. They have been on my play list for 50 years.
Great energy and vocals love live music ❤❤
saw them back in the early 90s. they put on a great show!
ACDC no estádio do River plate clube de futebol da Argentina show épico
I will pray for you. God Bless You Both
Heaven's a place where nothing happens .. boring as..
Every time I see clips from this concert it looks like the best party EVER!
Definitely you have to watch "let there be rock" from that same show. I enjoy your reactions because you were honest that this wasn't the stuff that you were listening to back in the day and you appreciate their musicianship. Rock on👍
You two are my new favorite. xo I actually listen to the things you say about the music lol and I don't really do that with others. I mean it, you two are GREAT ENERGY. xo
Thank you!
One great song from ACDC. I had a big speakers with a10,000-watt amplifier and cranked it up. The whole neighborhood heard it, and the Cops were called LOL
Love them ! For those about to rock we salute u 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You mentioned energy, this is the next to last song of an hour and 50+ minute show.
I got to see ACDC live at dodger stadium in 2015....amazing show!!
I would just love to have been in that crowd. Amazing.
Brilliant live band right from the 70's back in the beginning ...............
You shook me all night long from River plate is a really good one a lot of behind the scenes preconcert stuff.
" Let There be Rock " from the same concert . Mind blowing !!!!
lol I find it funny watching the moves of you younger people to us oldies moves 😂 so different from our dancing to ACDC hahaha Saw these guys back in the 70’s & 80’s live one of our best Australian bands.
Can't go wrong with AC/DC. Speaking of energy--as a suggestion, try Jethro Tull "Locomotive Breath" live from 1982
Let there be rock at River Plate! Angus solo is insane
Bon Scott wrote this song based on all Highway ere in Perth Western Australia... it's called Canning Hwy & every year the local government closes down this highway for about 5km for AC/DC tribute bands from all over the world come 2 ride on the back of trucks playing all of AC/DCs greatest hits
When I went to their concert back in the 80s my ears were buzzing for 2 days afterwards but they were great.
i was there, nine years old, best concert ever, best riffs ever.
I loved his reaction.
One of best live bands ever . My first concert was Judas priest my second was AC/DC so every concert after after was held to the highest standards after them . I’ve been lucky to see some great shows in my life but, AC/DC was up there with the best live old school rock band ever. The time times I saw AC/DC are memories I will take to the grave .
In the 70s, AC-DC used to drink at one of my locals, the Leopold Hotel. Bon Scott wrote Highway to Hell about driving Canning Highway blind drunk after leaving the Leopold
Great to see people of all ages enjoy great music.
Personally i will alway treasure the memory of their concert on 29th june 1980 in Namur ( Belgium). Yes i'm that old 😂.

I had seen them live in Toledo in 1985,I still have the concert tee shirt 😊
If you go to an AC/DC concert you will be exhausted by the end.
Nice reaction AC / DC POWERHOUSE. they never disappointed the fan's.
Seen them live in concert good show 🤘😆🤘
I'm thinking there were a couple hundred thousand folks that slept all day the next day!!
Impossible to sit still through one of these.
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
PARA QUEM NUNCA VIU ESTE CONCERTO NA SUA TOTALIDADE ACONSELHO MESMO A VE.LO NA TOTALIDADE...BRILHANTE
Claro Argentina. Mejor país del mundo!
Ive seen AC/DDC many times in concert and they are great, but next day you need to pray and drink a lot of holy water! Amen....🙏💯
Ride On is one of their best and most underrated song
Awesome show, kicks butt 🎸🎸🎤🥁🔥🔥🔥😈🤘😆🤘
Seguramente entre los mejores conciertos de la historia, Simplemente bestial, Igualalo,
I'll tell you what, South American audiences beat all. Can you imagine anywhere else in the world turning out and getting this lit? I can't.
Possibly the GREATEST rock band
\m/ AC☇DC \m/
Oh my lord luv me somec ACDC ❤❤❤❤
Please do „The Jack“ from this concert. Its the most fun and Blues one, you will have fun listening to it and seeing the show they give us 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm convinced Angus made a deal with the Devil and we all got this awesome music.
These guys are awesome you gotta check these songs out/ videos when they were young and got this devil monarcher cause they were louder and prouder than most then
Just do Whole Lotta Rosie, if you want to see the crowd at it's best, no other choice in the concert footage!!
That whole show was epic. The crowd was feeding the band energy and the band was feeding the crowd.
High voltage live from donnington 1991, the performance mirrors the song title, you'll be exhausted after watching it!! 🙏
Bon Scott on lead vocals. "Highway to Hell" LIVE in 1979 . This improvised session was Scott's last recording. Sometime during the late evening of 18 February and early morning of 19 February 1980, Scott passed out and died at the age of 33. . Now Brian Johnson sings Bon's song . TY ◕‿◕ ♫♪♪
Bon Scott wrote Whole Loota Rosie, Highway to hell and the Jack. All songs before AC/DC recorded before Bon Scotts death were lyrics by Bonn Scott and Malcom Young music!
I saw this tour it's the black ice tour saw them in Nashville tennessee
50 years experience listening 👂 to AC⚡️DC
"Hard as a Rock" and "Thunderstruck" were in the movie "Battleship"
They were in their mid-fifties or so at the time. Every song was high energy. They don't play ballads in between like other rock groups.
You need to do "The Jack" from this same concert in Buenos Aires.
they are rock GODS
AC/DC's 'Highway to Hell' was the band's first commercial breakout record back in 1979... Tragically, it was the last album to feature vocalist Bon Scott... In early 1980, Scott was found dead in a friend's car in England - he had passed out after a night of drinking at the bars and apparently choked when he threw up in his sleep... 😪 His death shocked AC/DC's growing worldwide fanbase at the time.
Bon Scott had been a singer since the late 60's and joined AC/DC in 1974 after failing to make it in the music business in Australia ... He had initially been hired as the band's driver! Scott started on drums... but offered to sing after their vocalist Dave Evans quit abruptly in '74... Angus & Malcolm Young (guitars) were impressed w/ his voice and began working on their first studio album - Bon Scott's voice and stage presence made a huge impression on fans who saw AC/DC live in 1975 in Australia... he transformed AC/DC in the 70's into a hard rocking juggernaut and wrote the band's cheeky lyrics that were filled w/ male bravado and getting women... AC/DC were signed outside of Australia in 1976 and began touring frantically across the UK and Europe... and then America in 1977... Their high voltage concerts were a huge hit as an opening band going into 1978.
Despite their popularity, AC/DC needed a hit record... and they delivered in 1979 w/ the album 'Highway to Hell' after working w/ producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange (who later worked w/ Def Leppard... and then Shania Twain in the 90's) ... AC/DC were now headlining tours and playing bigger venues across Europe and N. America... radio started playing singles like 'Highway to Hell'... 'Shot down in flames' ... "Girl's got rhythm"... 🔥🔥🤘🤘 and the 'Highway to Hell' album sold gold in the US (half million copies)
Confident that the next album was going to be even bigger, Angus and Malcolm Young started work on a new album in early 1980 as AC/DC took a short break... Bon Scott was looking forward to working on the new songs; but it never happened.
Growing up, Bon Scott was something of a party animal - he could drink heavily and party w/ the best of them... women were also a big draw for him... He also couldn't turn down a drunken brawl. But he was also sociable and entertaining. AC/DC fans felt like he not a flashy 'rock star' that u couldn't approach - he was a working class fellow and they felt like he was one of them... someone who would hang out w/ you casually and have a beer or shots.
After Bon Scott's death in 1980, AC/DC decided to move forward w/ a new singer... Brian Johnson had also been singing in bands for years and had a brief career w/ a UK band Geordie in the 70's... Johnson heard AC/DC's music and became a fan - he had, by coincidence, met Bon Scott on a UK tour (before AC/DC) when Geordie did shows w/ Scott's band Fraternity. Scott had apparently mentioned seeing Brian Johnson singing for Geordie and impressed w/ his vocals.
Brian Johnson was destitute and working a factory job when he auditioned for AC/DC in 1980 and got the job... He worked w/ the band on the album 'Back in black'... It became the biggest AC/DC album, selling over 25 million copies in the US alone to date. Fans missed Bon Scott, but they felt like Brian Johnson was also a working class guy whom you could hang out w/ at the bar for drinks and pool... Also, Johnson would have to sing Bon Scott's AC/DC songs for the rest of his career, and that gave him admiration from even the AC/DC fans who did not like their music after 'Highway to Hell'.
I thought it was funny that he said he knew the chorus, which is “I’m on the Highway to Hell”. A tough one to remember.😂
This was the Name of this Tour

River plate is in Argentina. Originally designed for a massive crowd of soccer (football) fans in 1901 , but started hosting concerts during the off season. Since the mid 1980's, they hosted just a few bands. AC/DC was always sold out!
Hi Sam if you want to see Angus play that guitar River Plate , let there be Rock this will knock your socks off , enjoy ...
...not just jumping at the front eh! Excellent 👍
You’ve got to listen “For those about to Rock” we salute u 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This concert was SOLD OUT 3 nights in a row in Argentina. 300,000 people EACH NIGHT
I can’t believe how many people are supposedly in the black with these legends
For Those About To Rock at Riverplate or Donnington next please .
I highly recommend Steven Seagulls - Thunderstruck acoustic cover. Absolutely different 🤘❤️🇨🇦
Their most heavy song and its an riper epic ACDC
ACDC RIVER 2024 NOW
You've got to watch them , Live at Donnington
It's the law that a movie must put an AC/DC song on its soundtrack at least once a year, and marvel does obey the law, I can't tell you how many movies have their songs on it but i can think of probly 30
Always listen to the studio version first! It's a classic jam! 🤘
AC/DC shows that we Aussies can rock and make it look freaking epic to watch either live, RUclips, or Spotify. They have more musical talent than most of the new rock bands.
They are in their 60’s here!
Just remember that Brian Johnson is getting towards 80 now
Local seismic offices registered events locally due to the AC/DC concerts at River Plate and their audience's overtly enthusiastic reactions.
That thumbnail photo! 😂👍
They passed out the Red lit horns out front. I saw them 8 times in Houston. I'm 73. LIVE IS SO MUCH BETTER.
Hells Bells 🔔 from this concert
hells bells from platte is probably the most awesome.
For this guy Donington was the best. The crowd was huge and accadecca was in their prime.
you should watch the music video for the song "Girls Got Rhythm" by AC/DC in 1979! Such a fun song and video I think you guys would love the energy on.
