i remember when my buddy bought his RSX we thought ever time he shifted the cars intake would make a whine. couple days later we realized it was a loose screw in the clutch peddle -_-

I had a Hellcat, but I always thought the Scatpack was the more usable version. I sold the Hellcat and now completely happy with a less powerful car that is more controllable

Owned a 2016 Scat, literally the best car to drive cross country. Living room comfort with 24mpg while doing 85 all day. Plenty of power and will just eat miles without beating you up

After years of drooling, I finally bought one. I got a 2021 Scat Pack widebody in F8 green with 13,000 miles. I can't express how bad ass this car is. It feels bullet proof inside. The Alpine system rocks, the exhaust note, the power, the ease of doing burnouts. I'm in love. I didn't want to trade my supercharged Tundra, so I didn't. Both are fun to drive.

Echoxulan well if you have the money to buy a scat and supercharge it later then it’s better to get a hellcat because the scat 6.4 isn’t designed to be boosted so you’ll have to forge the engine which is expensive as well might as well get a hellcat 🤷🏻♂️

Was telling you guys to review this forever.... I used to get blocked by Jakub in the live streams because I kept repeating it lol... This is the SWEET SPOT in the challenger lineup. Big V8, manual transmission, 20k cheaper than the hellcat, lighter than the hellcat, stiffer springs up front than the hellcat. This is my dream car, definitely ordering a 2021 in spring next year! Have saved up enough to buy it outright!

Unless you want to mod it, the 392 doesn’t handle mods well. If you plan on supercharging it later, anything over 500rwhp and you’ll need to build the bottom end. You’ll end up spending more than the hellcat to make pretty much the same power.

Had chance to get this and the hellcat widebody.... happy I went with the scatpack widebody. Drove both.... Scat feels better and handles better, and puts the power down way more effectively. #392's all day.
No matter how many reviews I see on this series of awesome cars, I still love everyone and the sound of an American V8 will NEVER GET OLD!
I saw a rumble bee literally 2 days ago and i thought the guy was like trying to make his truck into a transformer or something, but now i know :)
Little Red Express, Warlock, Macho Power Wagon, Rumble Bee, Mossy Oak (camo), Daytona, Rebel, Stinger Yellow, Longhorn, and SRT10 are to name a few Dodge/Ram 1500 trucks. A lot more but I don’t want to dig into more lists.

@@Emilianoo8 an e-5 with 6 years of military service no matter what branch you served in (can be 4 years in the army and 2 years in the air force pays the same as any e-5 with 6 years of service no matter what branch you are in) its dod (department of defense) all department of defense branches use the same pay grade chart that goes by pay grades e for enlisted, o for officer and wo for warrant officer. and the number designating your pay grade as in e-1 through e-8, and o-1 through 0-10 and wo-1 through wo-4. ranks are branch specific and coordinate to each pay grade. thats why you see some service members include their pay grade with their ranks. like i was an e-5 sergeant in the marines. in fact i was an 11 year e-6 sergeant. now you can google the exact amount i got paid a month. military pay chart.

I would take this 392 wide body over the Mustang or Camaro. I love the looks, the sound, the color, and more comfortable. The only real downside is the Hellcat exists.
I just have to say that there is no other on youtube like you guys. You really know how to make car videos. I mean it. Please never stop
it's minor, but i really appreciate the editing and things like HP/Trq revealing from behind trees. I imagine that's not easy or quick to do sometimes, but it doesn't go unnoticed. Good work

Awesome video fellas. My only beef with the wide body is it destroys that sweet body line. I ended up getting the 2019 Scat pack Stars and stripes edition in the same green. Honestly only car I've ever bought that I didn't instantly regret.
Funny thing about your model comparison is y'all helped me choose between a Bullitt and Scat Pack. Ultimately the interior room sold me. Good thing too, been seeing a lot of issues with new Ford Manual transmissions.
I think I'm going to listen to you guys and never drive a Hellcat lol....although that Durango Hellcat is so ridiculous it's tempting. Too bad it won't come in manual.
Great review guys! Mopar rules! 392 is the sweet spot in the line up IMO. The TF 8 speed is the faster option. Even though the Hellcat exists, it is made for the dragstrip. I still love the 392, plenty of streetable power.

I had a hellcat before and i drove the 392 scat and the best thing about the hellcat is the supercharge sound but the 392 is really a better car and you can really drive it every day and the sweet spot is the scat pack 392

The super bee started in 1968 and was the Dodge version of the road runner. It ran until 1971 on the Charger platform.

This is a much better choice for a Canadian who might winter drive their vehicle. Remembering that the supercharger is pretty exposed and runs high rpms right out of the garage and only has ATF in it. A really cold day has always been something I worry about with these. I had a VF supercharger on my E36 M3 and it did NOT like cold days.
I remember my uncle put a supercharger on his challenger scat pack and I named it the HellScat 😂😂

Nah I'm 17 5'5 140, dads had the scat and now has the hellcat. Easily one of the easier clutches I've used, it's very forgiving, definitely better than my 01 eclipse clutch lol

My 2018 WRX 6 speed MT is my daily driver in NYC traffic and I get along just fine. Of course, this car has over 200 more horsepower so that could be a different story.

What’s interesting is the challenger and cuda were originally in the Mopar E body line. The B bodies included the roadrunner, charger etc... and even beyond that, there was B body model called the superbee that only ran for a few model years and it looked something fierce. The superbee moniker then got applied to the 3rd gen road runners for a year and then was dropped until the 2000s reboot.

6:57 is why this is the best version to buy. Usable power on the street and on the road track. I know it’s not the best for road racing but with suspension modifications this is the best version that will never give you heat issues or have you on an endless quest for traction at each corner exit. The perfect challenger. The more powerful ones are just drag machines.

Is it just me or does this sounds a WHOLE LOT BETTER than any Hellcat?
My Charger Daytona 392 (it's basically scat pack with deeeecals) automatic screams like from hell in comparison to Challenger SP... It's also super fun to drive (with caution as it swings pretty easily). I drive hellcat charger and I wasn't impressed, at least not 20k dollhairs impressed. Also Charger HC does not have the same options as SP (or chall hc...) for some reason 🤦

I own a '19 R/T SP 392 WB. I find the whine annoying. There's nothing like the sound of that big V8. Besides, 485 HP is plenty for a daily driver. The power is more manageable and usable across the range than the HC.
In combination with the wide body, this green color is the best choice for the Challenger imo. Perfect engine too.

Doesn’t the supercharger in the hellcat lessen the potential lifetime of the engine? Assuming both are *relatively* taken care of? I was able to get my ‘06 300 to 228k miles and I feel like if I had a super/turbo in it, it wouldn’t have lasted me that long....
