In some interviews and Jay’s more recent videos he talks about not doing much traditional barbell bench press, here he is first movement flat barbell bench press 😂 I know he used close grip flat bench a lot for triceps too. Lifelong Jay fan it was these DVDs that came out during this era that made me fall in love with bodybuilding back in middle and high school. Thanks for the upload
@@Gator762-v3o correct, seems like his whole workout was basically a de load because he mentioned he was still so dehydrated from the Olympia. If you watch his other chest videos around this same time period he would occasionally hit flat barbell bench and do 2-3 plates on each side and there is footage of him hitting 4 plates a side on incline bench. Jay was a very high volume guy and he usually did around 20+ sets per body part so it wouldn’t be unlike him to hit a few sets of about every kind of chest movement you could imagine
I know Jay was in prep and probably irritated as most preps go but to see Ed Corney still training back then and giving props to Jay to possibly win......glad we have this on video Bruce
True, but this was a deload and very light, so it always would be good form here near the show. Jay usually kept his form pretty clean overall though, even when going real heavy.
1:20 anyone knows the music from this part? It's like a good upbeat music for workout. 😅 Edit: Never mind, I fount it - Tempo feat. Manola - Everybody Get Up (2001)

It's outrageous that music playing in the background at a gym 20+ years ago creates a need to mute segments on youtube videos
Israel people trying to get money
It’s called copyright mate 😂
@@mr.repeat8632 Yes, I'm sure the counting crows and their record label are pumping their fists as Jay's video segment is partially muted
@@turnippatrol4607 yes because moc video is making profit off of it. Hence they’re fists are pumping
I was puzzled as well.
Now that's what's up! Nothing beats 90s/early 2000s bodybuilding. Everything was so much better. Thanks for uploading those, brother!
This is right alter being defeated.
Utterly inspiring
i had to start over after the first lift asking myself the timing
far more impressive if he is at the gym after a loss

Looks like he is actually only using the flat bench press for warming up and then he moved over to incline?

Jay is one of the Mass Monster who never had a bubble gut, flat belly with good abs.
His mid section was just wider towards the end of his career I liked the cut above era
yeah, no bubble gut, not like the other guys at least. Genetically his waist was large, but he was always real lean and conditioned.
Just illusion,gut control
Jay Cutler, for me one of the best Bodybuilders in the Sport
JAY CUTLER 🇧🇷❤️🇧🇷
So nice to see Ed Corney. RIP.
No bouncing off the chest and controlled 🔥
Thanks Bruce!! Always love Jay's old stuff
It’s amazing watching the contrast between Jay and Ronnie’s training and diet. Trained and ate in different ways yet both were amazing champions.
Such a great lifestyle. Getting paid to pump iron. Awesome.
Jay legend
Thanks 🇧🇷
You’re welcome!
