tibialis anterior: helps lift the toes so the feet don’t drag and trip you. Especially important to keep in tone for older people to prevent tripping and falling. This muscle is starting to get the notice by the fitness community. Jumpers are very interested in its development as the tibialis anterior is responsible for maintaining balance, lift-off explosiveness during jumping, and safety during landing.
Good for runners to prevent injury too. That muscle moves a lot while running and is easy to strain if it’s weak. Not sure if this is where shin splints come from, but many people think they have shin splints when this muscle is strained.
What I like about Jay Cutler is that he still wants it! You can see it in the eyes. He is happiest when his training and diet is 100%. He will always do this.

I have pretty much tried every routine known to man in that time but yours is somehow different and I love it. I train most days of the week and do the same 5 body part workout you day over that 5 day period. I personally would like as much of that training stuff like this one as you can give me, I find it really useful, I dont honestly find that the travelogue stuff does much for me ...but you did ask!!! It's motivating because depending on my mood, just before going to do, for example, my chest, I can decide to watch this or that video where you train your chest. I know them all by heart now. It trains the tibialis anterior (front side calf), looks freaking awesome when it get some size. As a heavier guy that enjoys running and bodybuilding training that muscle reduces leg pain enormously.
@3:58 Training anterior tibialis. Benefit, grows the front part of the shin adding girth to the overall calf size and helping tremendously when landing on the ground. I have had to jump a fence recently and realized how much it really helps. Some runners train it to prevent shin splints. I started training this muscle when I first started bodybuilding a couple years ago because no one ever talked about it or downplayed its benefit. Figured I would grow them and see what happens. It does work and if you happen to have a Neubie and attach some electrodes to it, you can “and do” get some sick shin pumps. 😂 When was the last time you felt your shins pumped up like your biceps? 😂

I just got home from the gym today after training chest, I like to watch Jay’s training and use some of his tips for my next workout. I also watch Nick Walker, Mike Ohearn, and the Rock’s training videos. I go to Vegas a couple of times a year and i like seeing the different gyms in Vegas you can train at. I have not been to this location, I am going to check it out on my next trip.
The tibialis anterior or shin muscle helps stabilize the ankle opposite of the calf muscles. Its most common function is to return the toes slowly to the ground after the heel has made contact as the heel bone sticks out the back from the ankle joint. When the heel hits the ground first, the toes would immediately slap the ground if the tibialis anterior didn't control that downward movement.

I love to watch people who are successful in BB and strongman and try to incorporate their ways of training, thinking, and nutrition.
The Tibialis Anterior is the muscle that runs along the side of the shin bone. A strong tibialis will help with injury prevention, help with shin splits for my runners out there and in the World of Bodybuilding it makes the calf from the front look Awesome!!

That special calf portion prevents shin splints... I've seen many skinny folk get shin splints - very painful...

That works Tibialis Anterior. Will help support the arch of the foot. It’s the primary dorsiflexor of the foot.
He’s totally correct on that tibialis machine. I have the same one in my home gym. They say it’s good to prevent shin splints too
I don't know if that's correct, I have big shin muscles but I never had arches (some people don't) and no, I've never had any problems with my feet.

I watch Jeff Cavalier, Arnold Schwarzenegger, also Alexander Nikulin, but most often Jay Cutler, I would like to see more variations of training on the legs, chest, arms, back with a shift in emphasis from one method of training to the second and then to the third for alternation 💪💪💪
It trains the tibialis anterior (front side calf), looks freaking awesome when it get some size. As a heavier guy that enjoys running and bodybuilding training that muscle reduces leg pain enormously.

@3:58 Training anterior tibialis. Benefit, grows the front part of the shin adding girth to the overall calf size and helping tremendously when landing on the ground. I have had to jump a fence recently and realized how much it really helps. Some runners train it to prevent shin splints. I started training this muscle when I first started bodybuilding a couple years ago because no one ever talked about it or downplayed its benefit. Figured I would grow them and see what happens. It does work and if you happen to have a Neubie and attach some electrodes to it, you can “and do” get some sick shin pumps. 😂 When was the last time you felt your shins pumped up like your biceps? 😂
Working the muscles next to the shins is good for runners to prevent injury. I’ve never seen that machine, but I’d use it every day if my gym had it.

Your routine appears very straight foreword. I enjoy Ryan Humisted. I’m learning different movements and why to use them. I was personally at a stagnant point and wanted a change. It has invigorated me.

I like to watch the videos for motivation and the training tips Jay talks about when he is working out. I just got home from the gym today after training chest, I like to watch Jay’s training and use some of his tips for my next workout. I also watch Nick Walker, Mike Ohearn, and the Rock’s training videos. I go to Vegas a couple of times a year and i like seeing the different gyms in Vegas you can train at. I have not been to this location, I am going to check it out on my next trip.
The tibialis anterior or shin muscle helps stabilize the ankle opposite of the calf muscles. Its most common function is to return the toes slowly to the ground after the heel has made contact as the heel bone sticks out the back from the ankle joint. When the heel hits the ground first, the toes would immediately slap the ground if the tibialis anterior didn't control that downward movement.
4:29 is it pushing through your ankles because we use the front of our feet so much more

Fighter jet pilots use that machine. It helps prevent fatigue when using the foot pedals when flying.

It's for the anterior foot, the tiny muscles around the ankle including movement of the synovial fluids around the ligaments and tendons keeping good circulation around the ankle and foot. I see you walking around with swole feet, Jay.

Hey Jay, the benefit I can think of for the "shin" workout machine would be for runners to avoid shin splints by strengthening those muscles.
Always watch Jay for workouts, eating, and motivation.

I did a similar exercise, I'd call it a heal raise instead of a calf raise. I always thought it would strength the Achilles' tendon.

I like to watch training videos to get more ideas about training to improve my strongman training, I like to watch meal videos to deepen my understanding of nutrition for training, I enjoy the cutler cast and like videos that help me learn about judging bodybuilding and criteria in bodybuilding. I also like to watch strongman videos that help me improve my lifting technique on my events lifts and training. I love to watch people who are successful in BB and strongman and try to incorporate their ways of training, thinking, and nutrition.
The Tibialis Anterior is the muscle that runs along the side of the shin bone. A strong tibialis will help with injury prevention, help with shin splits for my runners out there and in the World of Bodybuilding it makes the calf from the front look Awesome!!
