    I finally, after 30 years, just beat this game. Used your video for strategy. Thank you!

      Congrats! That's how long it took me to beat Mike Tyson's Punch-Out (was the 1st NES game I ever played but never owned it till a buddy gave me a spare copy he had in 2017) so I know how rewarding it can be when you finally beat a game that you first played that long ago.
      For Willy these days I use a better strategy. I always keep him to my right when I fight him and then move diagonally down right through different planes while staying like a kick's length from him and kicking him to get the hair pull move on him & do 2 hair pulls and throw him over. Then I do a jump while on a different plane than Willy to get him on my right again and rinse and repeat. It works really well and it's been consistent.

      wtcvidman- man, it makes me feel better that these games are still hard as an adult. And I would consider myself a pretty decent gamer. My son plays some of these games and he is staggered at how difficult they are, even compared to new games.

      @@brettbaratheon9776 That's cool that he's playing the stuff we grew up with. Yeah retro games for sure are a lot harder because they didn't hold your hand like many new ones do and it was a lot of trial & error & memorization until you beat them. I guess since the games then were short they had to make them real hard to make them worth the money. Nowadays, games are way longer but also much easier. I think there are still some hard ones (I heard Dark Souls is hard) but the majority focus on length instead of difficulty, which makes it harder for people who are busy working jobs & raising kids to complete those new games.
      It does seem like the games we grew up with are timeless, probably because they're so easy to pick up & play (simple controls, etc) but hard to master. If you still have your NES, you can pick up an n8 everdrive by krikzz (it's a flash cart in a NES cartridge shaped shell; new model came out recently I believe) and load it up with every NES, Famicom & Famicom Disk System rom and play the entire US, Japan & PAL libraries (even some unlicensed Asian games) along with hacks & homebrews on the console. It's definitely worth the money. I love the physical cartridges the most, but I definitely want to pick up an n8, considering how expensive cartridges have gotten. krikzz makes everdrives for other platforms too (Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, SNES, Genesis, Turbo Grafx 16, I think N64, etc). For SNES I recommend the SD2SNES because it now emulates the in-game processors like the ones used in Star Fox, Yoshi's Island, etc. The SD2SNES was recently rebranded as the FXPAK Pro due to copyright issues.

      wtcvidman- yeah, those awesome. I still have my original NES (and a couple extra), amongst some other systems. Not a huge collector, but I buy what I like or always wanted when younger to play with my boy. I actually modded one of our Wii systems and did the 10,000 game SD card hack on it. We have so much fun with it. Funny thing though, I still buy physical carts of games. They are just better in my opinion. I like looking through them when figuring out what to play. It’s fun watching my boy using the NES, Sega, PS1, GameCube, and stuff. It’s rewarding to me 😎🎮

    You can avoid the fight with Abobo entirely by climbing up the wall just as he breaks through.

    It's best to wait until the block on the very top row pops out 3 times in a row. As soon as it does, start moving. And do that again for the next set of blocks as well.

  • @thatonegamer4937
    @thatonegamer4937 11 лет назад +1

    Here's what I do. Get as close as you can and keep your eye on the second block from the top. If you see a slight delay before the next block moves, that's your cue to move. If the bottom two blocks move, wait for the second block from the top to move again. Always wait for that slight delay as that means the next block that moves is the top one, but after that, it could be the top, third, or fourth block that moves. I also jump as I get to the end so if I get hit, I fall forward a little more.

    The only other one I have uploaded at the moment is the Double Dragon on Game Boy. I have Double Dragon II for the NES, but haven't recorded myself playing it yet. I still have to beat that one on the hardest difficulty since you get a different ending & I think an extra stage.

      Imagine if it were made today. The good guy in 1986 would be a racist because he beats up blacks guys, a woman beater because he beats up women, and at the end he would find them in the bed together and it would be his fault.

    Watching this for certain strategies. The Chin's with knives are terrible but never beat machine gun dude. FYI, you don't have to fight those Abobo's. You can climb the wall and skip them

      Oh I know, I just like killing everyone in the game. ;)
      Regarding Willy, you can fight him at the very bottom of the screen (make sure you don't fall off) and if he shoots you, the bullets don't do damage there. A friend of mine uses that strat.

    I know the back elbow does a lot of damage, but I have hard time using it without getting hit myself when facing those huge muscly guys.

      Gotta elbow them before they get too close. Sometimes they duck a lot so it can be annoying.
