Going through description.... I already love this one. This whole week was awesome. Challenging, sweaty, fun....I was sore everyday ,we all know this sweet pain. I don't mean an unhealthy soreness like you have overdo it. I am sure after this HIIT I will be too. CG workouts taught me that it is not to train only hard, but more importantly -to train smart. I literally waited up at midnight my time before going to bed just to see what the workout today is about. I'm suuuuuper excited to do this workout as I absolutely LOVE dumbbell hiit workouts. Maybe I'm a bit bias in saying this but this is probably my absolute favorite type of workout, as it's a combination of strength training, speed, power and endurance while being mindful of maintaining good form throughout. Another excellent workout composed by Caroline!! 🙌 Her channel always give me something positive to look forward too♥💪🔥. Forever grateful.
i have a love hate relationship with these workout- sometimes i love them and feel amazing then other times i will feel dizzy and like i have a lack of energy to complete the moves to my max potential. i have a healthy balanced diet and i dont know what im doing wrong but regardless this workout still finished me off for the week so thanks caroline :)
@Fiteen, from what I've noticed in my case, my performance depends on various things. A list of the ones impacting it the most are: if I've had enough sleep to feel rested, if I've had enough carbs the night before, if I am stressed out and absent minded because of life, if I'm on my period, if I'm overworked, if the weather outside is rubbish (low atmospheric pressure and/or grim grey skies). Sometimes it is good to have couple of days or even weeks of not exercising, just stretching and relaxing and then coming back refreshed and energised. Do not underestimate the dizziness - that can lead to vertigo episodes. If you feel dizzy stop or at least take a break or slow down. That's an indication that your body needs a rest. Make sure you always have some food before exercising if you're feeling less energetic, even if it's just a protein shake. Get some electrolytes and drink them pre, during or post exercising too. And if you keep feeling dizzy, please see a doctor to check what may cause them. It's always better to be safe than sorry; we've only got one body and we should care about it. Something I myself started doing waaaay too late :(
I'm unusual in that I don't generally enjoy these workouts. I find them to be painful, and taxing at a level beyond what I prefer. However, I do think the key is to do them at a level of intensity that is appropriate for you, whether it's using the modified options, taking extra rest, or pausing, etc. Granted, because the workouts are inherently challenging (and you may feel obliged to keep up), this isn't easy to do. I'm certainly not great at doing it myself, but I suspect it might help.

I’ve started to have a protein shake after all of my workouts now and I mostly likely need to get some more sleep and probably up my water consumption (as I only drink about 1L- 1.5L a day which isn’t ideal.) I only really tend to feel dizzy during the HITT workouts most likely because I am pushing myself quite hard but I do ensure that I stop if I need to and always try to listen to my body. I will try to eat something high in energy prior to my next HITT session next time. Thanks again :)
@@TemiIntheMoonlight I 100% agree, there is never any shame in taking a pause or modifying any movements as everyone is different. As long as you are still challenging yourself that’s the key thing! :)
My blood tests always come back normal, but I usually feel lethargic. Some days I am motivated to exercise hard despite this, but other days I feel like I’m slogging through wet concrete. I keep thinking I should go to a thyroid specialist just in case the regular blood tests aren’t sensitive enough.

Yeah, this week was a fun one and I am looking forward to other 5-day challenges. But isn't AMRAP what Caroline calls Complexes already? For me, the principle seems to be the same.
Update: This was easy at first since I did some alternates, But it definitely got harder around 70%!! I could feel the burn at the end. I really loved this one and adding it to my routine!! (Until Caroline does another 10 week program!!) I was able to follow along at her speed most of the time!! This is just what I needed today!! I follow so many trainers but I always come back to Caroline. She’s the best!! I’m feeling a bit weak but gonna push through the whole thing, I’ll try to update! I did the first epic heat video without pausing once! I can do this!
I’ve just finished this workout and I’ve got sweat dripping all over my body. Just EXACTLY like how I like it. Almost died of heart attack with this workout but boy when I finished it and seeing Caroline’s thumbs up and huge beautiful smile - something that I always look forward to - IT’S ALL GOOD. This was an excellent sweaty workout! I appreciated the on-screen modifications as sometimes the burpees were too intense for my lower back. Thank you for the quality content you put out! This is an undercover burpee HIIT haha! I find it amazing, being 52 and with a history of knees injuries, that I went from skipping HIIT last year, to slowly getting it, to challenge myself to keep up with the pace, to loving it, to being addicted to it every sunday. How much motivation does Caroline instill, I just love the pre-workout brief. This has been a fantastic mini series and today was no exception. This HIIT is awesome but tough especially when the staple burpees are preceded by more burpess. I have been here before so used 7.5kg DBs as I know that heavier will slow me up and lighter doesnt really kill me. At the end I was soaked, sore, pumped, breathless and smiling 😃 Job Done Cx ✔ Thanks a Million Caroline, navy and white was such a brilliant colour choice for this series. Have an awesone Sunday, Summer has arrived in N Ireland. Hope its as nice on the coast as it is inland, I was down at Lagan Valley earlier with my mum and it was cloudier than it was in Portadown. This was definitely a me vs me workout! Normally I sub out Caroline's HIIT workouts for kickboxing, but today I wanted the shorter 30 min workout. About two-thirds of the way through, I had to starting swapping the burpees with other high intensity exercises like high knees, mountain climbers, etc. Those push up burpees are what did me in! With the lower reps though, I challenged myself to do all my pushups from my toes and DID IT! Thanks Caroline, love seeing my strength gains, even in a cardio workout!
This was INSANE. I’m literally dripping sweat omg. I love the workouts where I feel like I have to push myself to move because my body feels like it’s gone beyond it’s physical limit & this dumbbell HIIT did exactly that!

To be honest, I didn't think I would be back so soon because I was struggling to focus both mentally and physically to do these workouts and didn't feel very motivated at all. Now I am back with an extra spring in my step and enjoying it more now.

Each time I do a HIIT I think that this is my favourite but I have to say I LOVED this one. Maybe it is because we are just coming out of lockdown here in Toronto & my Mum is visiting after a year apart and was doing her weights routine in the background...It made it that much better. This was one amazing workout! Burpees mixed in with weights, bodyweight moves.. etc.. That was a festive routine.. Couldn’t catch my breath at times.. My heart rate was accelerated at all times!! A favourite.. I tried a different approach to plank tuck as am working towards jump tuck for handstand.. Finally it clicked in what is meant with engaging the core.. I floated for a sec in the air🥳🥳 Was a really great feeling.. Very pleased how strong I’ve become! Thank you!

I contracted sepsis in Mid January and haven't really done weight training while I've been recovering aside from 15 minute videos in conjunction with yoga. This was the last video I had to do in this series and, while I'm glad I attempted this today with 5kgs, I can really feel that my body has been through a lot over the past 2 months. I really enjoyed this ession. It was quite challenging. Thanks a lot, Caroline!

A list of the ones impacting it the most are: if I've had enough sleep to feel rested, if I've had enough carbs the night before, if I am stressed out and absent minded because of life, if I'm on my period, if I'm overworked, if the weather outside is rubbish (low atmospheric pressure and/or grim grey skies).
Sometimes it is good to have couple of days or even weeks of not exercising, just stretching and relaxing and then coming back refreshed and energised.
Do not underestimate the dizziness - that can lead to vertigo episodes. If you feel dizzy stop or at least take a break or slow down. That's an indication that your body needs a rest.
Make sure you always have some food before exercising if you're feeling less energetic, even if it's just a protein shake. Get some electrolytes and drink them pre, during or post exercising too.
And if you keep feeling dizzy, please see a doctor to check what may cause them. It's always better to be safe than sorry; we've only got one body and we should care about it. Something I myself started doing waaaay too late :(
I'm unusual in that I don't generally enjoy these workouts. I find them to be painful, and taxing at a level beyond what I prefer. However, I do think the key is to do them at a level of intensity that is appropriate for you, whether it's using the modified options, taking extra rest, or pausing, etc. Granted, because the workouts are inherently challenging (and you may feel obliged to keep up), this isn't easy to do. I'm certainly not great at doing it myself, but I suspect it might help.

I’ve started to have a protein shake after all of my workouts now and I mostly likely need to get some more sleep and probably up my water consumption (as I only drink about 1L- 1.5L a day which isn’t ideal.) I only really tend to feel dizzy during the HITT workouts most likely because I am pushing myself quite hard but I do ensure that I stop if I need to and always try to listen to my body. I will try to eat something high in energy prior to my next HITT session next time. Thanks again :)
@@TemiIntheMoonlight I 100% agree, there is never any shame in taking a pause or modifying any movements as everyone is different. As long as you are still challenging yourself that’s the key thing! :)
My blood tests always come back normal, but I usually feel lethargic. Some days I am motivated to exercise hard despite this, but other days I feel like I’m slogging through wet concrete. I keep thinking I should go to a thyroid specialist just in case the regular blood tests aren’t sensitive enough.

Yeah, this week was a fun one and I am looking forward to other 5-day challenges. But isn't AMRAP what Caroline calls Complexes already? For me, the principle seems to be the same.

Update: This was easy at first since I did some alternates, But it definitely got harder around 70%!! I could feel the burn at the end. I really loved this one and adding it to my routine!! (Until Caroline does another 10 week program!!) I was able to follow along at her speed most of the time!!

I’ve just finished this workout and I’ve got sweat dripping all over my body. Just EXACTLY like how I like it. Almost died of heart attack with this workout but boy when I finished it and seeing Caroline’s thumbs up and huge beautiful smile - something that I always look forward to - IT’S ALL GOOD. This is an undercover burpee HIIT haha! I find it amazing, being 52 and with a history of knees injuries, that I went from skipping HIIT last year, to slowly getting it, to challenge myself to keep up with the pace, to loving it, to being addicted to it every sunday. How much motivation does Caroline instill, I just love the pre-workout brief. This has been a fantastic mini series and today was no exception. This HIIT is awesome but tough especially when the staple burpees are preceded by more burpess.
I have been here before so used 7.5kg DBs as I know that heavier will slow me up and lighter doesnt really kill me. At the end I was soaked, sore, pumped, breathless and smiling 😃 Job Done Cx ✔ Thanks a Million Caroline, navy and white was such a brilliant colour choice for this series. Have an awesone Sunday, Summer has arrived in N Ireland. Hope its as nice on the coast as it is inland, I was down at Lagan Valley earlier with my mum and it was cloudier than it was in Portadown. This complex series looks great, I can't wait to do it the next week! Also, I love the addition of the number of complexes done out of the total, it really helps with motivation.
This was definitely a me vs me workout! Normally I sub out Caroline's HIIT workouts for kickboxing, but today I wanted the shorter 30 min workout. About two-thirds of the way through, I had to starting swapping the burpees with other high intensity exercises like high knees, mountain climbers, etc. Those push up burpees are what did me in! With the lower reps though, I challenged myself to do all my pushups from my toes and DID IT! Thanks Caroline, love seeing my strength gains, even in a cardio workout!

To be honest, I didn't think I would be back so soon because I was struggling to focus both mentally and physically to do these workouts and didn't feel very motivated at all. Now I am back with an extra spring in my step and enjoying it more now.

I got my first covid19 vaccanation on Friday ... as expected my arm was hurting yesterday and I felt tired. I had a peaceful night's rest (9h! 🥱🤣) and feel a lot better today. But I decided for myself that I will not do HIIT. So I enjoyed an early morning walk plus stretching.

OMG this HiiT was insane. I had to pause by 60% and wiped the floor because i was sweating during the workout . These five days have been fantastic. Thanks a lots Caroline.
Congratulations Caroline for once again producing amazing series! Complexes are my favourite, so I enjoyed this week to the maximum. This HIIT was hard work, loved the combination of bodyweight and dumbbells. Lots of burpees which I adore😅👌Tricep push ups were hard at the end, but hey we have to make some effort!

Each time I do a HIIT I think that this is my favourite but I have to say I LOVED this one. Maybe it is because we are just coming out of lockdown here in Toronto & my Mum is visiting after a year apart and was doing her weights routine in the background...It made it that much better. I tried a different approach to plank tuck as am working towards jump tuck for handstand.. Finally it clicked in what is meant with engaging the core.. I floated for a sec in the air🥳🥳

I contracted sepsis in Mid January and haven't really done weight training while I've been recovering aside from 15 minute videos in conjunction with yoga.
This was the last video I had to do in this series and, while I'm glad I attempted this today with 5kgs, I can really feel that my body has been through a lot over the past 2 months.
I really enjoyed this ession. It was quite challenging.
