30 Minute FRIGHTFUL Dumbbell Cardio HIIT Workout | EPIC III Day 40

  • 30 minutes of high intensity interval training with light dumbbells! Elevations in heart rate, major muscle groups working, core involved throughout and plenty of sweat is on the agenda!
    The timer will be on throughout the main workout for 30 seconds of work, 15 seconds rest!
    All you will need for this high intensity workout is a pair of dumbbells and your mat!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 5kg each!
    There is a staple that involves 3 movements as below! The quads, core and shoulders focused in on during this staple as well as elevated heart rate!

    CHEST TO FLOOR TO DEADLIFT

    It is important to maintain CONTROL of the dumbbells at all times. The dumbbells should not be loosely waving about so ensure you perform each exercise at a suitable pace.
    This was definitely a DEMANDING workout! Demanding physically! Mentally I kept in mind it is a short work period!
    30 minutes and you will be welcoming a cold shower!

    Happy Hallowe’en everyone and there’s nothing scary for us about a dumbbell HIIT workout anymore! I’m sure we’ll smash the workout and have fun too!       Hi Dhamodharan, i usually start my day early by walking with my dogs then if work phone calls dont start i drink my coffee ..with Caroline😅i watch the video and plan my day( trying) so i will be ready to do it while i am in full focus .just watching the next workout rises energy for the whole day...enjoy your Hiit and have a pleasant day🌷

    My 8-year-old daughter and myself have started doing your workouts together. It’s such a bonding moments for us and we always look forward to following your moves as much as possible.     This is so so so enjoyable yet challenging... sometimes lighter weights might mean more energy however if our mind wanders even for few seconds, we get wrong form because of higher energy and might get hurt in the process...so a wonderful test for our mind muscle connection even at a higher yet controlled pace. 👏
    Speed with lots of concentration is the key today 👍

      Absolutely loved this..This is not only frightful but I call this "furious forties" as well 😀... sometimes it really felt hard while controlling the speed but I managed to smile through this ...and though I'm saying nothing new and might sound like a cliched repetition yet I would say out loud...what a wonderful athlete you are and what a great trainer and planner.... Every workout shows the amount of thought and planning that you have gone through while designing any of your programs. Even the optional add ons are so perfect for the day post main work out👏👏👏👏

    It's day 40 and epic 3 is almost coming to an end I'm sure we all will be feeling how the time flies so quickly but that's the beauty of Caroline's workout that when u start doing them daily u become so addicted that u don't even think about time and enjoy every single day as far as today's session I really enjoyed staple ,,press and lunges pass on and it's dumbbell hiit so fully drenched all exercises in one that's amazing....enjoy your day everyone ....

    Good morning everyone !
    Last night in France we switched from summer time to winter time so we could sleep 1 hour more … I could get enough sleep and I’m ready to smatch this new one ! Dumbbell cardio, seems to be as tough as the last cardio workout, and as fun too ! 🥰

But I loved it 🥰 this morning it’s cloudy but I’m sure we’ll have some rain in the afternoon… in the north of France we have a lot of rainy days too 🌧 anyway, we can still work out indoor with Caroline 😄

    These workouts are crazy - beforehand I'm intimidated by them, during I'm so focused on form and range of motion that I can't think about what I'm feeling at the time, and afterwards I'm always glad its over and impressed by what has been accomplished.
    Today was no exception. I considered using my 3kg dumbells for the entire workout on account of how light Caroline had gone with hers, but I actually wound up using the 3kgs only for one set of the staple and some of the lateral raises, otherwise I used my 5kgs. I moved much slower than what she did, but I'm really proud of my form and range of motion throughout the workout, and it was still BRILLIANT cardio.

    It was frightful, but now I feel somewhat fearless😁

    The hardest HIIT in epic 3 for me. I'm a cardio person and what I really love about HIIT is the speed which I can obtain. Fast movements bring joy to me. I was doing this HIIT with 2 dumbells 8 kg each, I don't have lighter weights, so I was suppose to slow down, though I was still trying to match Caroline's speed, most of the time unsuccessfully.
    I wasn't even confident that I would be able to finish this workout. But I found inner power in me and finished this workout without pausing.
    Caroline, you help me to cultivate my inner strength and go beyond the limits.

    Finally making it to the final 10 episodes....a little behind the rest. My wife and I have been committed to making it through. This has been a great EPIC series. As usual, great balance of strength training and cardio work. Have needed this as the holiday eating season is upon us.

    So my main exercise used to be distance running and badminton, the first made up for sitting at a desk working and the second gave me some exercise involving speed. I had to go 15 months without being to be on court, due to Covid, but I realise now how useful these HIIT sessions have been. I started off last year being a total mess after 40% in, now I am getting past 80% without feeling like my lungs are going to explode. Thank you Caroline.

    My husband has started doing your workouts too (although isn’t currently following the EPIC program) and particularly loves the dumbbell hiits. It’s always fun because we get to do them together! Looking forward to this frightfully sweaty workout sesh!!

    Another brilliant dumbbell HIIT! This not so frightful, fun, engaging and highly effective workout flew by in a flash! Totally enjoyed it; especially loved the plank segment -renegade rows, side plank to hover and side plank to uneven push up. Weighted abs add-on was a nice cool down. Thank you Caroline!

    I've finally done the two workouts (day 25 and 27) that I had to leave when my back went completely... This week has been particularly intense for me.. that calisthenics was so brilliant, every complex was so incredible.
    Although after doing 2 CG workouts I was really done and slept for 2 hours straight in the afternoon lol..
    Now I'll be able to complete the program with y'all!
    This workout looks pretty fatiguing as well, so let's give it all we've got 💥

    I feel guilty for skipping so many days with you Caroline.. I’ve come to the very hard conclusion that I’ve overwhelmed and overworked my body when I worked out according to your programs every day and now I need time to recover. I feel so bad cause I’m a huge supporter of yours and you changed my physicality and gave me strength and now I have to step aside from the “real” work. I come back now and then for a superb upper body session and this HIIT was fabulous as well. I’ll keep going as best as I can.❤️

I really had to dig deep to hold on through those shoulder presses. I loved the workout from start to finish...I'd name off every exercise if I were to name my favorites today.     I have been following you just over 3 weeks now and I am completely in love with all your workouts! My bpm just roars every time I do any of your workout, even the ones that seem moderately intense, but apparently not. 😅But the funny thing is I could never stop, even when I feel like dropping. I am so energized while in pain, I feel an oddly masochistic delight. 😂

    Thank you again, Caroline! This workout got the job done! 🔥🔥🔥 I used 5s and my weights felt like they doubled! 😳 Some real burners here like renegade row (no touch mat), side plank to uneven push ups ... and kneeling squats to lunge! Today's staple move and finisher are lethal! Woah! 😆🤣 Love that we can mix and match our session with other workouts ... did 10 min weighted abs and 'unwind' stretch straight afterwards. 💕

    Thank you for the fun workout! My shoulders and quads were talking to me after this workout. I've noticed that epic 3 has a lot of unilateral work. My imbalances have improved a lot due to the unilateral work and mobility training.

    OMG, this was super super demanding! I'm sweating like just coming out from shower. When my mind is saying please no more squat, here we come the last round of exercise and finisher full of squat. My legs are like noodles now, but at the end I feel like a superwoman smashing this workout 😅 And this is such a great way to start the day. Happy Halloween to all and have a great Sunday! ❤

    That was super fun and challenging! I’m starting to think I really love HIIT with dumbbells. Definitely pushed myself with 15 lbs for this one. Had to drop to 10 for those side planks. I am so ready for week 9💪😅🔥

    Even though I had to stop a few times (usual for me with HIIT workouts), I was proud of myself for being able to do the whole thing with 12 lbs (slightly over 5 kg) dumbbells, for once heavier than the ones Caroline used which is a first for me! Another great video!
