Carnivore 2 years. 68. Lost 95 lbs. Reversed fatty liver, pancreatitis, high BP. Right knee came back and canceled knee replacement. Many other benifuts. I can sprint again. I like you Jillian but you are just wrong.

At a healthy (no drugs needed)75 yr. old power lifter with state records and a keto lifestyle for years, I cannot agree with you Jillian.
My mother died of cancer at 42 and my father died of alzheimers. The keto diet is not only why I feel and look years younger than 75 i feel it staved off those two diseases thus far. My carbs are only berries and GREEN vegetables, with lots of healthy fats as high polyphenol organic olive oil on salads and ghee.
My energy and yearly blood work is excellent. I don't miss breads pastas or white anything. I'll never go back.

The insulin part is spot on, meat has glycogen, which is basically carbohydrates. Like many things, it's not absolute , different levels of ketosis exist, she means heavy ketosis is not good for muscle gain or maintenance

Any diet would be better than the standard American diet. Everything you are talking about can be achieved eating all the macros and the studies show it's achieved more efficiently. Can I suggest you search the studies out? Maybe listen to Layne Norton or Peter Attia explain this in more detail? That said if you love carnivore the of course leave it. However, many struggle with those diets and the data says there is no reason to adhere to them over calorie control, whole Foods, and exercise outside of a personal preference.

Meat of course being a major source of iron. I have this disease and it can be fatal. It’s not super uncommon. People just start feeling like crap and have no idea why. Check your iron regularly people and read about the dangers of high iron in the body.

I will be doing the OMAD keto for the rest of my life! I am close to ten percent body weight and will be age 50 this September. My IBS symptoms have gone away completely and I feel great! However, this is not for most people since it is so extreme. I do avoid the dairy except the yogurt and eat a huge cabbage green salad along with pumpkin seeds and 6 egg whites. The meat varies.

You should look into the Trim Healthy Mama plan. It teaches you how to have both carb and fat but separately with protein and veggies in a way that helps you lose weight. When you do have carbs, it should not be mixed with more than 5g of fat and not be above 45g net carbs and then your next be meal if you want to eat something faty don't mix it with carbs but all don't abuse calories

I swear it will work for you. I thought I was the hungriest and weakest person in the world on the calorie diet. Then I was introduced to keto. I lost a ton of weight, my numbers have never been this great and I'm never hungry. Let me say it again😊, I'm no longer hungry thinking about food all day long. You're going to be so surprised if this is your first time trying keto on how full you get. I am my own living proof evidence that keto works, it kept me from becoming diabetic.

I follow fast like a girl, which one does a ketobiotic style nutrition and we go in and out of keto, based on our cycle. It's been working for me and I lost my perimenopause weight gain. I'm a nutrition coach and I'm very disciplined with my nutrition. When I gained 10 lbs out of nowhere and for 2 years tried everything I knew and nothing else worked, I panicked. I had lost 45 lbs in the past and the fear of it all coming back was real. I had never tried ketobiotic, so it took a good 6 months to figure it out and now I'm back to maintaining.

I’ve never been Keto. Always very fit and healthy. Never get sick, didn’t get covid, look way younger then I am (people say) and good. But I’ve been mostly Carnivore/High Fat for the last year. It intrigued me and made sense. I Added fruit and honey here in Costa Rica where I live. My bloodwork is optimal and my Testosterone is 1100. I take nothing and never did. I’ve eat two times a day. I workout fasted. I’m very muscular and very strong. I’m confused! I have been thinking about going back to certain things but making eggs and grass fed beef the staple and base of my diet.

I don't think one diet necessarily fits well for everyone but it certainly helped me. Calorie deficit diets and working out 3 hours a day definitely isn't good for you, like the things Jillian used to make her clients do. I take her advice with a grain of salt.

Its an individual thing. Keto works great for me in a longterm sense. I add in spirulina and fiber caps and coconut stuff to make keto healthy. For me keto is so easy.
I have family members who hate keto and these guys eat wheat a lot and they dont gain fat and they dont get tired out from carbs. Ive tried it and i get hungry and tired so fast with their system.
    Its an individual thing.

I tried so many diets, one after another. None of them I could stick to. I was always hungry and frustrated. I thought keto was crazy but desperately tried it and it worked. Going on 2 years now. I have never stuck to a diet this long. I feel awesome, my numbers are finally great and i only work out twice a week. My stress is gone. So I guess it just depends on the person. Keto kept me from becoming a diabetic and my stress levels are much better, when no other diet worked for me. Calorie diet foods were always so boring to me. Breads and pasta made me hungry hours after eating it. And being raised by a family from the south didn't help me at all when almost every one of them can cook, I'm talking about barbecue and baking cook offs every weekend. Some of the best soul food you can eat. Never in a million years I thought I would be able to control my sugar cravings but keto was so easy to where if I'm following it correctly I barely have any sugar cravings anymore. The foods I can have on keto works for me. The game changer is how full I am on keto, I'm no longer thinking about food all day like I did on the calorie counting diets even at the family cook offs. 😊 Im in full control now. ❤

Keto sucks to do. Especially if you are like me and you aren't particularly fond of meat. Jillian says why over and over in this video. The answer is simple. The number on the scale drops. Everytime for anyone that does this diet and other diets don't do that. They just don't. Better than keto for dropping the numbers on the scale is carnivore. Even better than carnivore is the lions diet. Numbers don't lie.

If someone is eating an exorbitant amount of saturated fats on a ketogenic diet then they are not doing it right. It is a misconception that everyone on Keto is just eating loads of saturated fat. Your doctor is probably smart but only perceiving it from the context that everyone on this diet is drinking bacon fat and eating sticks of butter. Not all of us are doing that. It is unhealthy to do that. It is absolutely healthy for you if you are mindful of the macro nutrients you are putting into your body. Old school doctors are driven by the mindset of the people who are using the ketogenic diet as an excuse to consume all the saturated fats they want which is unhealthy. These people are what gives the diet a bad stigma.

    • @kimgillespie1740
      @kimgillespie1740 Месяц назад

You don't know the doctor I mentioned.
He's not "old school" by any means. He's a young cardiologist who works in a state of the art hospital in Charlotte, NC.
And it's not just him, but most reputable providers who stand against any type of restrictive diet for weight loss.
Keto is for people who don't want to put in the work to actually be fit, but want to drop lbs easily.
Helathy weight loss and fitness is acquired by eating in a calorie deficit and exercising! Carbs are not your enemy. Like I said, scraping and eating the fatty toppings off of pizza bc you're afraid of crust is ridiculous.
Keto, like Ozempic, is a quick fix, no work, risky, shortcut to weight loss, NOT fitness. But that's exactly what some ppl want. 🤷🏼‍♀️
