What would be LIvia's catchphrase be if you had to choose just one? I initially thought "Oh poor you", but she only says that to Tony a couple of times. I think "Oh! Look who's here!" is far better. It's perfect, because it's ambiguous. With her tone and personality, it likely precedes passive aggressive bullshit. But it could also be a happy, friendly exclamation.
Reading your comment makes me think how lightly ive always watched this show instead of taking every line seriously with a deeper meaning. With Livia making the comment about her money all of a sudden to make Janice keep her around if push came to shove. Wow. in just 1 deleted scene.
@0:54 "...and feel like a traitor to Dad?" Meadow was near the Point of No Return while she was still in high school. Her true "Crossing of the Rubicon" laid years ahead, but this is part of the build up. Even Tony said that she surpassed them both, her parents, by 7th grade.
Great scene, not sure why they deleted it. In the actual show, Carmela calls Tony telling him Janice is at the house (you see her in the background), then they agree she can stay with them.
@Juan Santos Her sweetness really peaked when she planted the seed in Richie’s mind to murder her brother and reached an even higher level when she stole the one legged woman’s prosthesis. Did you actually watch this show? In the final scene between Tony and Junior, Tony relents and visit his uncle only because he’s afraid Janice is going to steal the slain Bobby’s inheritance from his young children. Sweet? She was among the most despicable characters in the entire series.
I've watched the whole Sopranos series 5 or 6 times at least, but I have absolutely no recollection of these scenes. Did I smoke too much pot? Edit: Okay, the description says this is a "lost Sopranos scene", what a relief...

Livia always makes it sound like nobody comes to visit her. I guess she forgets all the times Tony has her over for dinner or tries to bring her stuff.
I thought the lesbian question was so out of place but then some as Janice comes on screen she gives serious lesbian aunt vibes. Ironic, she had a real rep for chasing dick. Even in the show she had 3 of Tony's crew and that's just the guys we cared about.
Carm and Janice, or Parvati as she will still known by at this point, are just nonchalantly discussing the matters of Livia ordering a hit on Tony, and then in retaliation Tony trying to snuff Livia with a pillow; isn't this what Mr. Capuano got killed for?
It's a passenger (over)reaction to the need to bring the vehicle to a stop for upcoming stop sign or light. You've never been in the car with a new driver or had a moment when you thought you were going to be in an accident if the vehicle didn't stop? Obviously this is over-emphasized in the scene, but I've done this, and seen it done by other passengers, move their right foot to where the brake pedal would be in a vain attempt to stop the car. It's some sort of subconscious control issue.
*I feel so weird watching this. I've seen the series hundreds of times and my brain keeps going "I've never seen this before I've never seen this before I've never seen this before"..*
They messed up here.. look at meadows foot when she stops the car, she has saddles on, then when they walk into the hospital carmela has the saddles and meadow has on sneakers.
That’s actually Carmellas not Meadows legs shown in the car. If you look closely there’s no petals shown in that scene. Just Carmela bracing her legs against the floor and then her arms.
So they had audio of Livia saying "oh, look who's here" but still decided to use "look who calls" for the CGI scene, having James awkwardly respond "actually, I'm standing in front of you"?
That's hilarious considering my mother is a little like Livia and she likes the little tips on the chicken wings. She'd always ask me for mine when we ate 😅
Twice Meadow STOMPS on the brakes. I mean down to the floor so hard it makes a noise stomp. And both times the car slowly brakes to a stop. Either the breaks were shot in that car or it's total bullshit.
That’s what nervous passengers do, slam on the floor like they’re actually driving. Guess you all were lucky enough not to have a passenger like that, lol.
