She is forced to shoulder the responsibility of protecting Tony's holdings, as AJ is chronically depressed, Carmela is useless, and Paulie, now acting boss, is nowhere close to being ready to run the show and focused mostly on maintaining their independence from the NY mafia, who ordered Tony's hit. The garbage business makes her into a hard woman, whose bitterness and cynicism is only matched by her intelligence and vicious streak. Fast forward to where the series picks up: a revenge story 10 years in the making.
I thought “Hi mom!” was a common greeting after days of not seeing your mother, even if not said with much enthusiasm because you’re sad. They did a good job showing Meadow’s entitlement.

And Carm is the Traditional common sense family Conservative.. self centered Suburban Mom who understands the order of things is what got Meadow her golden spoon.. They clash over everything.. From Meadow casually insulting her intelligence.. To Carm name dropping the Dean to Let her know.. even the Boss of the intellectuals know who's ring to kiss.. Yet you Can see how much Carm truly values her opinion.. Which is dope..Because by the End of the Show.. she is about to Marry the Son of one Of her Father's soldiers. And She is practically an apologist for her Father's business... Meadow is the true HAIR apparent to Tony and Carmela's Wealth and power... I read a comment on here that said..
