@LoyaltyOverEveryting It's pretty stupid to assume what kind of parents I've had. I love the contrast between one sister with the small elegant crucifix, and the other sister with the mouth and tongue Rolling Stones tattoo on her bosom. Janis! That actress! That character! This show is just as good as anything Tolstoy ever wrote.
Barbara was hot in a classy way and glad she was the strong silent type Also borko you should of added the part of her when she asked if they still get tickets to jets Also to borko love your work
Barbara feels more Tony way because she was there like Tony. She was youngest so she was there even when Tony left. And Tony and her where probably closer because that was his baby sister.
Barbara was high iq and not stingy. She’s explaining to Janice that tony should keep everything after their mother passes away. As tony pays for everything while Janice is leeching off doing nothing. Happens to a lot of families
I always thought she was a great counterargument to Tony blaming everything on his genes/experiences. Personality is important too. Tony and Janice were horrible people.
I believe that the older siblings somewhat served as shields from that Ma of theirs. When she was about to give in and let her come to her house despite what Tom said, Tony doesn't jump on the occasion to get rid of Livia, instead tell Barbara to not fall in the trap; even Janice who left at 18 probably took a lot more shit and broken glass in her water than Barbara did, but that doesn't diminish her merit of not becoming like other Soprano's.
Also I feel like Livia losing the child after Barbara might have made her care for Barbara a bit more than Tony and Janice, but they for sure shielded her.
Barbara was the smart one. She moved away, disengaged from the day to day drama, focused on her own family, but remained available to talk or get together a few times a year. She loved them all, but did so from a safe distance. It's clear that Tony respected her and wanted her to continue her trajectory away from the toxicity.
Normal balanced people don't make good drama. I guess that she was there to illustrate that it was possible to get out of the mob, if you want to. What did Janice do? Get engaged to that evil toad Richie Aprile and then........
That was the whole point of the Barbra character-she was born into New Jersey mafia royalty and made the conscious decision to not have any part in it except for the occasional family gatherings. She was so outside of the Family Business that even the FBI didn't bother to follow her or her husband. Had she been in the series more often, it would've defeated her character's purpose.
If Barbara wanted to she could control Tony. Did you see how fast he changed his mind as soon as Barb wanted to do a funeral. He's obviously a sweet big brother to her.
That moment at 4:56 where Carmela's parents come into the house after Livia dies, her dad asks "How's Tony taking it?", and then we immediately hear Tony yelling *"Oh, what the FUCK!?! Goddamn fucking bitch!!!"* was *PRICELESS* 🤣🤣🤣
Wow there he is the man the myth the legend, where the tuna fish play. I've been thinking about Barbra for some reason lately n didn't think a compilation existed. I dunno why I think she's really cute with her reaction here 3:29 Good thing she kept her distance from her toxic family.
Uk I feel like the rareness of Barbara’s appearances is meant to show that she’s the least screwed up and most normal and probably the most good natured of everyone in the soprano family as well as the fact she didn’t have time of anyone else’s bs
I felt if Barbara was around more to put Tony in his place, He'd might have looked at things different. But she know her family and they all pretty crazy lol...she knew better hahaha
5:39 that "she's downstairs" line always stayed in my head. I don't want to experience a talk like this about my mom or dad in the future, having a guy say that they're just downstairs makes me just wanna go to them and speak to them and hug them, go home and go back to normal but no, they're gone.

@@masterexploder9668 What did I ever do to you for you to treat me so disrespectfully?
I love the contrast between one sister with the small elegant crucifix, and the other sister with the mouth and tongue Rolling Stones tattoo on her bosom. Janis! That actress! That character! This show is just as good as anything Tolstoy ever wrote.
The gravy's good tonight
**Great casting call** for Barb!!! She looks and sounds like a young Livia!!
I also do think that Meadow looks alot like Barbara.
Bahaha
Barbara was literally the smartest person out of the Soprano family. She moved the hell away from the craziness.
5:37 "...she's downstairs" Clever writing.
Notice Barbara was smart enough to only come around every once in a while just to stay clear of the typical, sick Soprano family drama.
Barbara was hot in a classy way and glad she was the strong silent type
Also borko you should of added the part of her when she asked if they still get tickets to jets
Also to borko love your work
Oof Madone , How many times is this guy gonna say hello?
@@ultraheaven8968 "Marone"
@@ultraheaven8968 it either has meaning or it don't
Barbara feels more Tony way because she was there like Tony. She was youngest so she was there even when Tony left. And Tony and her where probably closer because that was his baby sister.
Damn the actress that plays Barbara is beautiful
Nicole Burdette
Bit of an obscure one but
'You just did. Wrap it up Janice'
is probably my favourite line in the series.
Barbara was such an underrated character in the show. She held it together so damn well. She obviously didn’t take after their mother. 😂
Tony actually looked out for Barbara
0:20 Poor Carm; Tony showed more affection to his sisters (even the one he hates) than he does to her.
probably because tony and carm had more of an arragement than a marriage
Barbara was high iq and not stingy. She’s explaining to Janice that tony should keep everything after their mother passes away. As tony pays for everything while Janice is leeching off doing nothing. Happens to a lot of families
Borko, I’ll use all my powers, all my skills, to keep those bloodsucking HBO shills off your back.

I always thought she was a great counterargument to Tony blaming everything on his genes/experiences. Personality is important too. Tony and Janice were horrible people.
I can't help but laugh at Livia's face at 3:49-3:50 such a good actor lol
Her wailing in the back of the wake and Tony starts cursing in Italian when he hears it lmao

Barbara is probably the only balanced Soprano in the show.
That’s just what u see
@@eatass5627 Ok. Than you for your contribution to this 9 months old comment, Eat Ass.
"There's a lota things i can say right now that im not gonna say." Tony stole Janice's favourite expression
He hasn't changed one Iota since we lived in Newark, not one Iota..
@@ahmato9840 meaning? :)
@@subunite heheh , its a line that Janice says in season one referring to Tony that he hasn't changed.
Clearly a passive aggressive phrase from their mother.
AJ covering his ears from the yelling is hilarious
I believe that the older siblings somewhat served as shields from that Ma of theirs. When she was about to give in and let her come to her house despite what Tom said, Tony doesn't jump on the occasion to get rid of Livia, instead tell Barbara to not fall in the trap; even Janice who left at 18 probably took a lot more shit and broken glass in her water than Barbara did, but that doesn't diminish her merit of not becoming like other Soprano's.
Tony definitely. Janice has never cared about anything that isn’t Janice in her entire life.
Also I feel like Livia losing the child after Barbara might have made her care for Barbara a bit more than Tony and Janice, but they for sure shielded her.
I don't think Tony has to worry about a line outside Cosarelli's a mile long.
Yeah it's a shame when they go young like that
@@irishredenjoyer when they GO?!?!
@Steve Turowski give it time, see if Borko can make that happen for you

“When she was young, she used to picture her funeral.” No one even reacts to that bizarre statement!
Her sister was smart "You will get your cut"
Barbara was my favorite character. I wish they did more with her.
Barbara was the smart one. She moved away, disengaged from the day to day drama, focused on her own family, but remained available to talk or get together a few times a year.
She loved them all, but did so from a safe distance. It's clear that Tony respected her and wanted her to continue her trajectory away from the toxicity.
0:13 AJs reaction was so accurate, already making way too much noise just walked in 😂
Barbara didn't let her environment change her and carved out her own path to a normal life
Here's my comment, done my part, that's all you get from me.

Janice: When she was young she used to picture her funeral.....
That sounds like Livia alright
When she was young, I'm guessing more than a few others also pictured her funeral.
It's a shame they didn't write her in much more.
Albert Menendez why is she barley in the show
4 P i guess because she’s the only normal soprano
Normal balanced people don't make good drama. I guess that she was there to illustrate that it was possible to get out of the mob, if you want to.
What did Janice do? Get engaged to that evil toad Richie Aprile and then........
That was the whole point of the Barbra character-she was born into New Jersey mafia royalty and made the conscious decision to not have any part in it except for the occasional family gatherings. She was so outside of the Family Business that even the FBI didn't bother to follow her or her husband.
Had she been in the series more often, it would've defeated her character's purpose.
@@jessemarano5644 That's the point mate.

The first actress who played Barbara absolutely nailed the "upper middle class xanax wife" vibe.
I love how Tony tried his best to avoid his mother to live with Barbara. He knew it would have been miserable and he doesn't want that for her.
Man... Barbara and Meadow really decided to hog all the looks in that blood stream.
Blood stream?
Tony's glare at 6:50 makes me laugh my ass off XD
Uk I feel like the rareness of Barbara’s appearances is meant to show that she’s the least screwed up and most normal and probably the most good natured of everyone in the soprano family as well as the fact she didn’t have time of anyone else’s bs
Two barbara's , Two Tony's , one Vito + one Gino ! Thanks for the videos Borko Dimeo
“She’s downstairs” When Tony looks down I think that implies she’s in hell
I have much more respect for Barbara after how she was treated at Janice’s confirmation 😂
What confirmation? Was there a flashback scene for that? I don’t remember it whatsoever.
0:22 shots like this are what made this show such a relatable and truly human masterpiece.
0:16 Is more relateable
I felt if Barbara was around more to put Tony in his place, He'd might have looked at things different. But she know her family and they all pretty crazy lol...she knew better hahaha
He would have negatively affected her before she could positively affect him. That’s likely why she left.
@@dewilew2137 I don't doubt that, but damn I don't even remember this lol

5:39 that "she's downstairs" line always stayed in my head.
I don't want to experience a talk like this about my mom or dad in the future, having a guy say that they're just downstairs makes me just wanna go to them and speak to them and hug them, go home and go back to normal but no, they're gone.
