- One of the most fun RC events, I headed off to southcambsrc.c... for their buggy blast. 2WD and 4WD buggies plus 2WD Vintage and 4WD vintage.
I was back out with the Team associated RB10 RTR 2WD rear motor buggy and it is getting better with every run. @KevinTalbotTV gave it a run around the track and seem surprised by the car.
it is great to see @RCKickschannel starting to get bitten by the racing bug. spent most of the day chatty rac and youtube with Gavin and helping him out where I could.
The format for the day was 4 x qualifiers and 3 finals which meant lots of track time.
RTR RB10 come with Reedy electrics installed - reedy sec and brushless motor combo. Is this the perfect car to get you into rc racing. we take it to the track and test it out.
RB10 Ready-To-Run
The RB10 will perform on most surfaces you throw it at, from asphalt to dirt as well as any prepared track surfaces. This buggy makes for a great basher and a good platform to try your skills out on the track.
1:10 scale 2WD off road buggy racing--the pinnacle of RC car racing. Since the introduction of the RC10 in 1984, the Team Associated RC10 buggy platform has won 13 of the 18 I.F.M.A.R. World Championships contested since the class began. You now have the chance to drive a buggy derived from this race-winning heritage with the beginner-friendly, yet capable and powerful RB10.
Featuring a water-resistant, high-power Reedy brushless speed control, 3300kV brushless motor, a 2.4GHz 2-channel radio system, as well as our DVC (Dynamic Vehicle Control) receiver unit with built-in adjustable digital gyro. Add to that a High-torque digital metal gear servo, and a water-resistant enclosed receiver box. All of this packaged together in an outstanding factory-finished off-road buggy body with wing.
Seeing buggy racing makes me so excited. I want to watch directly. That's cool.👍👍👍

Great Video Carl, nice to meet you on Saturday. It was a very good days racing, Darren showing us how it's done in qualifying, then super close finals. I've raced at Stotfold a couple of times, it's very good also. 😃
Only my 4 go at buggy racing and I am enjoying the shift from on road racing

Absolutely brilliant Carl to see all you RUclips guys getting together 👍(missed you Mark lol 😁), gives us none racing noobs more incentive to pluck up the courage to actually go racing, I've being toying with the idea for some years but don't drive so it's a little difficult for me to get all my stuff to the local track at the moment, but 🤞 I can get something sorted soon.
Just watched Rckicks video and you gave some great tips and his driving really improved, I'm not to sure when it comes to end points and setting up my control properly (think I've got it working ok tho). Really looking forward to seeing more of the Collab videos. Keep up the amazing work guys.👍👍

Would be nice to know when you guys go to Stotfold. I have a mini fleet of cars now and a mate or two that want to come to along to get involved. We are all absolute novices but I used to be half decent 25 years ago lol.

I've just bought an RB10 to start driving, I have joined a club so hopefully somebody will help me set it up
I will create a setup sheet of my settings and stick it on our Facebook page

Maybe you have to add some weight in the front to make it stearing a bit better? Some rimweights or something equal.

@@PopalongRCassociated make a brass weight for the front of the RB 10 part number is AS72007. Faster servo definitely wakes it up a bit, look at the exotech 7075 parts as well for more weight. I run mine on astro and it's a really capable buggy. It's really under geared too. 75t spur and 24t pinion on 2s is a good option. Depends on how far you want to go. 💀

About an 1 hour drive for us …
In terms of racing we have about 10 clubs we can race at within a hour and a bit drive. So really lucky in that respect
Xray for modern class, very strong or Schu if you want to British
We are looking at our next car
