R6 Astromech - Dome part 3

- This time I complete (mostly) the Dome for my R6 Droid. I assemble and install the Holo Projector I have been working on plus Logic Displays. Final(?) paint is applied and I’m ready to mount the Dome. The Logics and Holo Projector are similar to what is found on R2-D2 but modified for R6-T3x.

Hi Aaron, Nice to hear from you. Have you covered in a video what motors you are using in the feet of you astromech?
Mike, I have not yet mentioned it. I'm actually working one the drives today! I'm working with a set of Planetary Gear Motors I had on hand from Andy-Mack. They are not the most economical solution though.

I love the Hp do you sell the files for the control system? I was looking to buy a control system but living in New Zealand making shipping kill my hope's and dream's. Love the build!
I get it! Shipping is a killer. I wont be selling the files you are talking about, but I absolutely WILL be sharing them in some way. Right now they are very much a work in progress and I'd be embarrassed to have anyone see them LOL. Once I am done with the first stage of my Scrubber Droid I will be getting back to the R6 and getting the foot drives running. At that point I'll start to clean up my code and be able to share it. Hi Mike, You can call me Aaron! ;) I missed that stream but at least one of my friends did catch it. I'm trying hard to get back onto a proper video schedule. my life has slowed down a bit for the Fall. Expect an update vid soon. Thanks Very Much for you continued interest!
What materials do you use?
Hi SCP-R... I try to mention materials I'm using in my videos, but perhaps I'm not doing a great job of that. If you find the overview video for this project I break down my expectations. In this vid I'm using ABS for the Holo parts and the Dome is printed with PLA+. If I have not answered your question feel free to ask again and let me know which materials you are most interested in.
