    Hello there! It's the developers speaking, and we are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the game! We truly appreciate your positive feedback and the effort you put into creating such a fantastic review video.
    We have some exciting news to share with you - a new update is on the horizon! This update will bring more balance to the AI, new voice lines for the custom night, and even some fun new mini-games. We have also fixed some bugs and exploits, and added some trophies to make your gaming experience even better. So, we invite you to play the game again and see all the new changes for yourself!
    This game was our first project, and we spent several years perfecting it. We are extremely proud of our work and thrilled to see that so many people are loving it. Of course, we understand that the game is not perfect, but we are constantly looking for ways to improve and create even better games in the future.
    Speaking of the future, we are curious - would you be excited for a potential sequel? Let us know your thoughts! Thank you again for your support and for playing our game.

    The phone guy seems to have a Cave Johnson-esque personality, which is something I find great about this game. The phone guy is like a little comedy relief before you're left alone to fend against the animatronics by yourself. He works great as a narrative device and a relief of tension.

      P.S: The CEO's first callback to the books refers to the ballpit from the first fazbear frights book, where some kid goes into a ballpit in a restaurant and ends up in the old freddy's location before the bite of 83 i think (has been a while before I read book #1.)
      The second callback to the books refers to a story told in one of the fazbear frights books where a young girl received a locket from baby and each night she got progressively prettier and prettier, as she asked of baby (again, might not be fully accurate, but its close enough). All baby requested was for her to not take off her locket, which the girl did. Turns out that Baby was collecting her body parts and replaced them with machinery.

    As cool as lucid Springtrap could be, I can't help but think that it's way more horrible and fitting that William's personality and intelligence is barely there. I always thought that the reason Springtrap was so scary beyond being a corpse in a suit is that it is still violent and murderous, but in a more animalistic or instinctual way. I always interpreted FNAF3 og Springtrap to be nothing more than a husk of what was once William, where there's only enough of him left to feel the agony of being permanently trapped in a body he can't truly control while feeling the pain of the springlocks for eternity.

The details of the animatronics moving, twitching, and switch from robotic to fluid when haunted both during observation and when attacking (Springbonnie 2.0 when looking at the door is a great example) makes them look so life like and alive, it makes me stare at the bodies and limbs more than the scare.

    I adore the way that this game portrays William, he is basically 100% how I imagined him. A person who actually cared about his children, and went mad by following an idea of immortality and perhaps the resurrection of his son after he died.
    LOVE IT, he actually acts like a villain with a motive that you can understand.

    • @voiceinyourhead8284
      @voiceinyourhead8284 Год назад +17

      I kinda prefer the Fnaf VHS style of him already being at best manipulative with his kids and emotionally abusive at worst, but he did care for them somewhere in his fucked up heart. But then he took out his anger and frustration at their deaths on his victims. Just my view anyway

    • @fakeorchestra4260
      @fakeorchestra4260 Год назад +42

      @@voiceinyourhead8284 You like him being a narcissist and I like that too. But he should have still not be a complete sociopath, as the idea of him being a narcissistic father that DOES care about his children but is abusive and goes off the deep end after his son dies is so much more interesting and fitting for his actions later on.

    • @Anna-rj8ty
      @Anna-rj8ty Год назад +17

      Honestly I agree. Unlike most, I don't like the idea of William being a jerk to his kids from the beginning. It would be more narratively satisfying for me if he didn't fit the usual stereotype of abusive father and actually went crazy after the death of his son

    • @gin9561
      @gin9561 Год назад

      I thought he only wanted to find out about remnant after the kids died? The kids aren’t dead yet in this storyline since it’s a prequel

    • @fakeorchestra4260
      @fakeorchestra4260 Год назад +7

      @@gin9561 it's more interesting to interpret it as him having known about remnant before and the words of "I will put you back together" being his motivation. As in William seeking to gather remnant to find a way to ressurect his son and hating Michael because of his involvement with it. It's insane how everything falls perfectly into place when you consider that, like Midnight Motorist being about Michael, FNAF 4 being Michael's nightmares, Sister Location etc. Everything fits perfectly together.
      BUT ONLY if CC dies before Henry's daughter.
      It makes William from a random child killer into a complex and tragic character.

    I love how this game answers why william is what he is. In the official games he's just that evil guy that always comes back; but to know THIS is why he comes back, this is why he went insane and this is what lead to where the later games went; fills in so many plotholes. (excluding the shadows, but even those were explain a little bit with the original 2 animatronics at the start, being present).
    But this begs the question. When william the immortal meets ennard the invincible, what would happen? Would they fight to infinite ends? Would one win? Who would win? Or worse, if they fused (due to the other having what they don't have and vice-versa) who becomes the dominant mind?
    Ngl I always imagined one of the two going into a frankenstein route with human bodies being used to make parts rather than robot bodies with humans in them. But if FNAF did that it would definitely get a mature rating which is unlikely with FNAF : SB. Still, it makes you wonder what both their endgame is.

    Another 2 great things the game emphasizes with it's presentation is the claustrophobia of the office & the scale of the animatronics. Really only FNAF 1 in HW was able to get that feeling right, as in the main line clickteam games, and in other fangames, the player's perspective is usually zoomed out, making the office seem bigger. I feel tight corners and cramped areas are a large aspect of horror. It lets the spooky threat get up nice and close. RE2 Remake is a perfect example of this.

    The game mechanics play into the horror aspect really well, the ambience is great, and the game overall looks spectacular. This might really be the best fnaf fangame we've got this year!!
    Also it's kinda funny how the CEO himself is the phone guy and sounds like Cave Johnson from Portal, his line delivery is very strong and he's genuinely interesting to listen to, unlike other fangame phone guys.
    ALSO also: the animatronic screen at the beginning of each night looks like Bohemian Rhapsody.

    The fact that here william instead of making his death a ridiculous accident into actually planned step to bond his life to his work is outstanding, this type of fan games rasily could work out back to back with actual game, about books they not even closely bond to fnaf as could be assumed and simply stories having fnaf characters in it. Overall i think it's actually fitting set springtrap cutscene behind 4/20 due to prove that you are a fan of Fnaf and hunt for every single bit, yeah it's hard but it's fairly rewarding with spoiler to next game which i'd say a fine trade.

    "pretty sure it's reference to one of the FNAF books, but I'm not sure I haven't gotten around to reading them yet. Let me know in the comments..." You not only have the right book but the right story lol. It is literally from the into the pit story. A kid goes back in time to the original Fred bears and witnesses one of the kidnappings. I think I remembering that right
    There's quite a bit more to it than that including a freaky spring Bonnie, but that's the gist.
    Edit: this is not meant in mean spirits. I just find it amusing if it was purely a coincidence. If it wasn't that makes a lot of sense, given the title.

    There were actually multiple references to the Fazbear Frights books! I remember both the time machine ball pit being a reference to Into The Pit (obviously), and also he talks about ballerina robots crawling inside someone when he's sleeping (or something like that, I don't exactly remember the phonecalls) which is a reference to the Fazbear Frights book "Room For One More".
    In Room For One More, it follows a person working at the place we play SL in, and he has a toy minireena on his desk. Everynight his skin starts feeling tighter than the night before and he feels more sick, and the minireena on his desk is slightly different.
    It's revealed at the end that each minireena has been different and they've been crawling down his throat and into his skin when he sleeps. At the end he is trying to make his way out of his facility, however one minireena at the door asks "is there room for just one more?" and then crawls inside him, and it's implied that he burst open.
    Anyways you should read the Fazbear Frights books, I don't even like reading but I enjoy them.

    When Fredbear makes it to your door, you actually have a sizeable amount of downtime, you don't have to react automatically. Though this solution is hidden by his death screen, whom you probably won't die to since it's easier to avoid him than the death of him draining your power. Perhaps if this advice were accessible before you died it would help.

    A great, in-depth look as always! I don't enjoy the game mechanics of most FNAF games and fan games so it's always cool to have videos like these that let me keep track of what kind of fanworks are being produced.
    The first thing that really sticks out to me here is the voice acting!! There are a lot of fan games out there that focus more on the visuals, but I always thought the spundscape, including the voice acting, is a huge part of making games immersive and really pulling your focus in. I also love these developers' take on the characters of Henry and William, and the idea that Henry was framed definitely fits my interpretation of William. I think it's great that they bring in William's search for immortality so early on in the game as it's a big part of what drives him throughout the series! Also had a laugh about that time-travelling ball pit! It's such a silly concept that was introduced in the books and then literally never explained other than the fact that it exists, glad to see it lives on in the minds of others :D.
