Update for "Funtime Hatch" at 12:50 - The developer of the game recently emailed me to let me know the game has no trojans and its only an error caused by the games engine. Just wanted to clear that up!

-Poppee and buddies : this game was made in turbowarp ,a really advanced version of scratch that could run sb2 and sb3 projects faster, but still it doesn't support resolution higher that 360p
-Our little horror story : You'd probably played an old old build or a broken one , dark taurus just played it fine !

i don't think i've ever been so genuinely unsettled by fnaf animatronics the way the popee animatronics do. the eyes are terrifying. i really hope more fangames do this sort of thing, i love it.

i actually like popee and buddies being in its pixelated resolution, it makes it feel more nostalgic, or reminiscent of older fangames, and also gives it an analog type of vibe, pretty cool how the game was made in turbowarp

edit: all of the glitches in Our Little Horror Story, i know how to fix now. so you dont have to worry about that stuff being in my future games. i might actually go back and update OLHS to not be so broken lol.

edit 3: for anyone still even here after a year. im nearrrrly done with a new game. well, chapter one of a new game. expect some thing FRESH. something disturbing and hopeless.... or something trash idk i might be delusional. ive spent around 6 months on this game, with planning, story writing, lore building, modelling, programming, all of the stuff. its not gonna be a chaptered release but the first and maybe second chapters will be released as a teaser or demo for the full game. aiming for 12 chapters, each of them showing completely different events with different animatronics that all tie into a main timeline, like the fazbear frights books do. i hope i can get PlainTrace to play the demo when i finish it.

5:47 the reason Poppee and Buddies looks like it has low resolution was because it was made on scratch! (A block programming access) I believe the low resolution adds more of a touch but still. It’s insane how they made it

Started scrolling through the new list and (due to my morbid curiosity) Played a game that goes by “five nights at fortnite” and it was shockingly fun. Upon further investigation the creator of the game has a yt channel, which I then discovered that there was both a SEQUEL and a ultimate custom night game, both of them actually having lots of effort put into them

I tried figuring more out about Funtime Hatch and apparently it was deleted due to the virus, but not after the developer threw a hissy fit over people trying to “ruin his game” and then deleted all the negative comments off the gamejolt page. He’s currently working on another game called Cargo which has no information, and is only a devlog with 1 follower. Also his most recent post is just some animatronic on a stage with the word “F U C K” below the picture. It’s an anomaly if I’ve ever seen one and I’ve found literally no other information about the game or it’s developer. If anyone has any additional information that would be nice to know. I don’t wanna have to go asking Reddit now do I?

out of all of these, I think I liked popee's the most. something about it is different, mostly about the animatronics. they remind me of these really, really old toys that I think everyone saw at least once and thought to themselves "well that's something I don't want in my room". pretty sure I owned one and I did not like it at all
I hope this becomes a series, not only it is interesting seeing games never talked about before but you help the developers and designers a lot with your feedback

Is no one going to talk about how the last game is just a recreation of the TJOC basement level? I know the game said it was inspired by TJOC but it's more of a less polished copy with fewer of the challenges from the original.

I played six hours at hugos because of this vid, 10000% would suggest it, it's surprisingly really good, nothing ground breaking, but all the mechanics intertwine very well and the only reason I could tell rufus and hugo apart was there walk cycle lol.

Well making a 3d model and click team, has nothing to do with each other. Those most of the times handled in different programs. 12:20 So I would say that this person, is talented at making 3d stuff, but as the person said it a newbie when it comes to click team.
This is actually something I was thinking about... what software do you recommend for 3D modeling for these games? And how hard is it to whip up a decent looking animatronic like these?

The creators of Popee specialise in using Scratch or at least something related.

The last game is literally the basement section of the joy of creation. Like almost detail for detail, literally just cropped out, why even spend time making it like that instead of something thats even slightly different in any way

Just so you'd know, Popee and Buddies was actually made in the engine called Scratch! which is an online game engine, the resolution is tiny because the engine's resolution is limited, and, the renders look pixelated since they are bitmaps, and bitmaps are pretty pixelated in Scratch.
Saw this video on my recommendations, was going to watch it, lost it, tried to search you, couldn't remember your name, searched plaintrain and failed, so I had to look up the title of the video.
In Kyle’s Diner, apparently when Kyle is near your door, you gotta use the cams to fend him off, when you see static on your screen, that means Kyle has left.
Tbh I don’t really know either but if you wanna play this game again, maybe use this strategy. But idk how to play this either.

the first game I liked a lot tbh, something about the ai in clickteam games is that typically they don't have moving pictures, that isn't a clickteam limit. The person making them could animate them but some don't want to or aren't skilled enough to. Same goes with ai, some could be just one path and of you want to get more complicated well.. THEY SURELY CAN GET REALLY COMPLEX. By the way PlainTrace I think it could be cool for you to maybe review the Five Nights at Warios games. They are pretty darn cool, I would say dont expect much from the first game but, after that they just get better and better. Maybe even review some of the fangames of Fnaw, they get really good. (mostly)

Oh yeah, the Featured button on Gamejolt. I almost fell for that trap, if it wasn't for the fact I knew from a reliable source that got nearly insane from playing so many FNaF Fangames (Dan Cybert from That Cybert Channel) that there actually are literally dozens of thousands of FNaF Fangames.

The reason why Popee's is so pixelated is because of what engine the developer used, that being a modded version of scratch, Turbowarp. They could've easily gotten around this though is by using the 'HD image upoload' addon Turbowarp has. Scratch/Turbowarp upload png images as bitmap ones, but as the hd image upload suggests it cleans them up nicely. Honestly its one of my main complaints about Popee's because of how popular got because of the entire 'This game was made in scratch?' when the only reason it did was because it had 3D models, even if the actual game is very primitive in terms of FNaF scratch games.

The Pixelated resolution in Popee and Buddies is because of a thing that the game engine had because they mainly used scratch to make the game and uploading pictures turns them into a pixelated version so it cannot be fixed

I think the pixilation in Popee’s in a stylistic choice? I think it gives it a cool feel, though it’s probably more difficult when playing.
