Those of us around in the 90s hear this and instantly think of “Playaz Club” by Rappin’ 4-Tay. Another great William Bell song is “I Forgot To Be Your Lover.” In this song, it’s a private number because she had her number changed but didn’t give it out to people so they’d stop calling and bugging her while her man was away. She’s saying YOU can have the private number she isn’t giving out to most people because she changed it because she’s in love with him and wanted the other guys to leave her alone.
