      Not really. He's just implying that she could just be a good liar. Polygraphs are an essential tool during interrogations which is why we have polygrapher schools. It is, however, pseudoscience in regards that, no machine can ever tell if a human is lying or not. It's impossible. Therefore it's a glorified bpm and resting heart beat monitor. That's explicitly why they tell you never to drink any caffeine products the day before taking one. It's also why they're not admissible almost everywhere today, as they are not direct evidence, nor are they circumstantial. They are simply, a very effective tool to bring out during interrogations. The trick is to make the guilty person feel the pressure and make them believe that a machine just found out they lied lol. Another thing? Law enforcement can lie and say they detected deceitfulness and that you failed, even if you actually passed. It's a great tool though and it is interesting.

    It’s true about when the suspect gets a lawyer, the prosecutor will send him a discovery of pretty much all their evidence. I think why everyone is so shocked about the detective dropping witnesses names and addresses here is because usually during their first interrogation they don’t give up that much evidence for a reason. So the suspect can’t leave there make a few phone calls and get rid of all their evidence and witnesses before the trial is even scheduled. That is crazy that he’s saying their names and where they live. Even the one witnesses full name and that he is jail with him. That guy will now be a target to everyone being labeled a snitch.

    If the police can’t keep you safe while in their custody, they shouldn’t be able to imprison you. Either clean it up, or prisons are nothing but torture institutions.

    • @outofpowder
      @outofpowder 2 месяца назад +6

      Haha bro prisons are literally torture institutions in America. No matter where he goes there is always the possibility of being beaten, robbed, stabbed, graped, killed or anything else you can think of.
      And somtimes we like it that way. Did you hear about the prolific child predator who got caught and on his first day in prison he was brutally graped and murdered? That's what we call prison justice.
      Just don't do anything to end up in prison if you can't handle what you are walking into. Things work very differently in there and it isn't meant to be a pleasure in the first place. Where you don't have to choose sides out here in the world, you will have to pick the side that matches your skin in prison or you will be beaten by everyone and nobody will have your back. Just don't go there.

    • @outofpowder
      @outofpowder 2 месяца назад

      Oh yeah, also somtimes correctional officers do it on purpose. Putting people in places where they know they will be abused because of what they did.
      People like Larry Lawton are advocating for prison reform but that's a lot of people that need to be weeded out and a lot of changes that need to be made.
      Larry Lawton is a youtuber today but he spent a very long time in prison as a jewel thief. And even he still says that people like child predators will get what's coming to them and is ok with them being tortured in prison.

    There’s this legal defense called “imperfect self defense.” Not every state allows it, but it’s a claim of self defense that is against something not being immediately threatened. As in, a stalker, a battered spouse, or a relentless bully like Randy in this case.
    It’s a partial defense & refers to a homicide where the person accused believes their deadly act was necessary & reasonable to them & their situation. Like shooting at someone (Randy) who has done nothing but harass, stalk, assault & threaten this man. If he didn’t ultimately plead guilty, that is.
    If applicable Cody could’ve told the jury he was in a constant state of fear bc of Randy. To him, this was the only was to stop the threats/violence from escalating. He unfortunately, shot at the wrong mark. He could use that defense if he DID hit Randy too!

    Never seen or heard of a case where the accused gets to know not only the names of witnesses but what their statements contain, and the accused actually gets to listen to one? No wonder folks don't want to talk to the police when there's a crime comitted. No protection for them & as long as the cops get their conviction the witnesses get left to fend for themselves in the aftermath. Ridiculous & dangerous.

    A few simple rules:
    If you do dumb stuff,own up to it
    If you have an idea, write down the possible outcomes, hey if I burn down this house, people might die
    Wrong and right is based on individuals, dont expect your "right" to align with someone else's viewpoint
    Stay out of drama unless absolutely desperate and can accept the consequences
    Try to ask other people for advice(a wide range of people) before you make a big decision
    Coming from someone who has done dumb stuff, stay safe, and also why does this detective act like professional hit man dont exist, like bro the charge $100,000 for one job you think their gonna slow down hell no they got experience

      Normally this channel uses arbitrary IQ numbers to reference the mental capacity of people that never took an IQ test.
      Edit: or maybe they did take IQ tests, I'm not sure but the channel never says that they took a test so I assume they are just assigning numbers. But it is possible that they took IQ tests at some piont in prison and they jist aren't saying that they did.
