  • In this JCS Inspired video, a woman who is suspected of killing her mother and burying her in the backyard is questioned by several detectives.
On September 19, 2015, Judy Schultz received a concerned phone call from her mother. In tears, Ora Lea Hawkins told her daughter that she was moving to Colorado to stay with a woman she had met at church. Almost instantly, this set off alarm bells for Schultz. She had seen her mother earlier that day, and there was no mention of such a trip. Furthermore, her mother confided that she was having trouble with Schultz’s sister, Amy Day. Day lived with her mother and had a history of substance abuse and erratic behavior. Hawkins suspected that Day was stealing from her, as well as mismanaging finances.
As always, we'll also find a bit about the psychology behind the interrogation and what is most likely happening in the mind of Amy.
This is the interrogation of Amy Day.

Children kinda kill their parents anyway. Maybe not on purpose or all at once, but the stress of dealing with kids, working multiple jobs to support them, the sleep deprivation, and the general burden of parenting itself, definitely sends a lot of parents to an early grave. Childfree people statistically live longer.

My 16 year old son was set up by an ex-girlfriend's parents when he broke up with her. The mother works for the sheriff's department, the father for the police department. They had their "friends" in law enforcement harass my son and I, and my 16 year old was ultimately charged and jailed for "stalking" her. This was able to go on for 9 months, until finally the charges were dropped. But, she continues to stalk him. If neither my son, nor I, had ever spoken to anyone from law enforcement in any capacity, nothing would have ever happened. But, we were not aware of that. For anyone that really enjoyed this interrogation like I did (this is my third, maybe fourth time watching this specific interrogation since the first time I watched it because it’s just too good), there are at least two follow up interrogations with her that are just as great.. I think the final one is by her request so that she can “clear her name once and for all”.. she’s in her jail jumpsuit and everything and she tells them this fantastic tale about a man named “Rocket” who just happens to be, coincidentally, a meth dealer (but she quit that a long time ago, guys) that she met by just seeing him drive down the road and goes on to tell this incredible story about the night her mother “went missing” and all about their escapades CLEARLY proving she has nothing to do with mother dearest’s departure. I highly recommend to all that enjoyed this

She says she doesn’t pry into other peoples actions. Let’s see: 80-years-old? Leaving with stranger? For six months? With no time to pack? Without her debit card (which Amy just happens to have)? And she wants the cops to believe some stranger broke in, killed mom, cleaned up, then took the time to bury her in her backyard and put plastic flowers on the grave? She’s a piece of work.

All the detective has said up until that point is, "we're just trying to get her home", so her death hasn't been brought up yet.
She also gives herself away at 1:48:30 - still a full half hour before (supposedly) learning of her mother's death - "Yes, we *were* "[past tense]" mother and daughter, and we *lived* "[past tense]" under the same roof..."
