Miss Patsy had pipes. Even people who don't like country music admire her voice. This is probably her most famous hit, but a close runner up is "Sweet Dreams". That song gives me goosebumps. You should react to it if you haven't already. There's also a really great movie about her with the same title. You should check it out, James. Tells her story beautifully.
Yeah!! Finally!! One of my favorite female voices of all time. Another voice lost way too young. BTW.. Willie Nelson wrote this song. One of the greatest songwriters ever.
When giants walked the earth. Just talent.....no electronics to enhance anything, other than a simple mixing board. Just talent and PURE music! Love it man!
Patsy was crazy good on so many levels! New subject. Doris Day passed away earlier this month at 97 years of age. Could you please play "Perhaps, Perhaps" by her?
My mother's favorite country singer. Her life was cut short in a plane crash in 1963. Her Loretta Lynne were such good friends that it almost killed her when Patsy died. You need to to watch The Coalminer's Daughter movie to learn about their relationship.
Yes! My favorite song of Patsys! If you never seen it watch the movie based on her life..Sweet Dreams...Jessica Lange plays Patsy Cline and its just WOW!
Floyd Cramer was the piano player on "Crazy." He was primarily a country artist known for his "slip finger" style of playing. In 1960 he had a hit called "Last Date" that crossed over into the pop charts. If you do a reaction to "Last Date" you'll hear his distinctive slip finger style and see why he was chosen to play on Patsy's recording. They were a perfect match.
everyone sing her songs in my childhood ♥ so much awesome music in the 1950's on up . i about 60 years old warms my heart to see you younger people seeking out history of every thing . you'll be wise for it. keep learning every day .
I don't know if anyone has told you, but she has that " headband" on to cover a scar from a terrible car accident she survived~ only to die in a plane crash~ such a pure, amazing voice . ( Also a real BADASS chick!)
You say "we need music like this again". Well then you should listen to Canadian singer KD Lang. She used to be described as "Patsy Cline reincarnated". KD Lang's early band even used to go by the name "KD Lang & the Recliners" in homage to Patsy. KD Lang is best known for her versions of Leonard Cohen's 'Alleluia' and Roy Orbison's 'Crying'. Both are unbelievably good. You'll love the performances!
I love Patsy Cline, she was taken away, way to early. We need some of that style of music to return. There is more to music then just R&B or hip hop. thanks for sharing this friend
Dude i'm like you, it took my Grandfather to turn me on to Patsy Cline! As a young black man, i was like what is he listening too???? But the passion in her voice is what hooked me! I 've owned 4 best of compilations Cd's for years. Watched documentaries on her, and have watched the movie Sweet Dreams countless times, starring Jessica Lang!
And she just poured that out flawlessly, live. No strain at all. Even her more trivial songs are at least fun to listen to, and her best ones are timeless & moving. "She's Got You" is another great one to listen to.
This song makes me tear up every time. 😪 Patsy was a true soul singer and she obviously touched your heart as well. Her story is a tragic one and well worth discovering. A great Willie Nelson song.
Love your reactions. You're right. Today's music is broken. With Memorial Day coming up, I suggest you react to a spine-tingling , chest-swelling, tear-jerking patriotic song. It's "The Ballad of The Green Beret" by Sargeant Barry Sadler. The song came out in '66 at the height of the Vietnam War. Unfortunately, Sargeant Sadler did not live to be 50. He was killed at 49. You will never forget this song on these patriotic holidays. Thanks.
This is perfection. Only a few times EVER has there been such a perfect pairing of an EPIC voice with the perfect song for that voice (Judy Garland with Somewhere over the Rainbow is another that comes to mind). Her voice and "person" are such a perfect conduit for the feelings and emotion of this song. She is natural, seemingly effortless, and completely flawless. She is on a whole other level with this... this is simply sublime. Absolute perfection. I think it's very cool that you've gone from Rock (I've been watching your Queen reactions) to Patsy. I am a huge fan of both!
If you like pure, unadulterated voices, give a listen to k.d.lang (yes, that is how you type it, no caps!) sing, "Three Cigarettes In The Ashtray" or "Cry".... they are covers, but she knocks them out of the park!!!!
I love love k.d. THE Dycon .did you hear her sing hallelujah at a tribute to Leonard Cohen . 💕 if you haven't, check it out. she did only as k.d. can. I'm sorry I'm excited, surprisingly not many know who she is. I grew up with her in my home. link ruclips.net/video/P_NpxTWbovE/видео.html.. I'd love to know what yall think?
Known as "One Take Patsy", she would be booked for an hour in the studio to record a song. However, she and this special group of musicians would snap out ten or more recordings in that hour. She grew up and lived not far from me; and. my dad was friends with her. He took me to one of her performances at a local bar before she went to Nashville and I got to meet her. One of the best experiences of my life.
Haven't heard Patsy for years. She had some pretty good pipes! Gone too soon! Wish you'd check out Chris De Burgh. I've spoken to so many people who have never heard of him, yet he is an amazing storyteller from the 70's and 80's! Check out Spanish Train, Patricia the Stripper or maybe Crusader. I think the best storyteller of his era!
God bless your stepfather for telling you about a talent BEFORE autotune. Back when they actually had talent. I like the fact that she just stood there and delivered the song.....raw, natural and full of talent....thank you JB.
Loved her voice and this song.. You are so right. We need ballads and true songwriters and singers who could tell a story....even the late 60s and 70s is settle for...miss it...
Patsy didn't even like the song but needed one more for new album...she reorded in one cut. Turned out to be one of her biggest hits... Thank you Willie!!!! 👍👍💜
You got that right now that woman can sing so beautiful that is such a beautiful song so very heart touching I am so glad you like that because we did have lotta beautiful music back another time very passionate💕
Even though she was a country singer, this song was simultaneously on the country and pop charts. You just couldn't hear that voice and not love Patsy. There are many famous female voices, but I have a suggestion of a lesser known singer, Linda Eder. Here rendition of 'This Time Around' is amazing; the way she holds the last note of the song is epic: ruclips.net/video/z31CW7i6K9M/видео.html
Love that you appreciate this classic music. Her and Loretta Lynn were very close until she dies. Loretta has some great music also. My favorite is Cole Mines Daughter.
You have one of the most sincere reaction channels and you can appreciate the old stuff along with the new and you feel what they're singing and it's just very genuine appreciated a lot.
1961 or 2021 we all still relate to the message of pain and risk, in loving and relationships.. Can a person, or love drive you crazy? (Or make you feel that way?). Patsy's song contained a lot of valid truth and emotions, and passion. She was my generation and died in a plane crash at the age of 30 at the height of her career. PLEASE look up her song "SWEET DREAMS" and react to it.
Willie Nelson wrote that and he has said that is his favorite recording of anything he’s written. The arrangement was beautifully done and her voice is superb. An absolute classic. Will you react to Janis Joplin’s Me and Bobby McGee?
Look for the longer version of this video, wherein she is chatting with the host of the show and then just breaks right into the song. It gives you a better sense of her live performance ability.
I love watching you react to a lot of the music I grew up listening to through my mom, I’m 50 so though my tastes are from the 80’s alternative (Depeche Mode, Social Distortion etc.) I’m also a big fan of 70’s & 80’s rock. I think for a lot of people the older the get the more they appreciate a broader range of music genres. Anyway I enjoy seeing the joy on your face when you hear something that really reaches you. Keep it up.
She. Was. A. Great. Singer. Passed away At. Age 30 in. 1963. From. A. Plain crash. A. Legend. of Country. Music 🎶🎶🎶she. Had. The. Voice of. An . Angel 👼
She could sing man !! But I remember hearing this when we were little going skating with a girl on Friday night this song would always be playing wow time has past ...
Love Patsy Cline! you should visit her museum in Nashville! After her death her husband kept everything ( i do me everything she owned) furniture, clothes, jewelry. several years ago her daughter opened a museum in Nashville..def worth a visit
Ms. Patsy! Long before there was any kind of “studio magic”, she was just that damn good!
She brought the magic herself...
"We need music like this again".. no truer words spoken. Patsy was great! Love your reactions.
This song was written by the one and only Willie Nelson. He also sang this song, but Patsy Cline's version is way better than Willie Nelson's version.
I love Willie but.......... yeah.
Good old Uncle Willie, hes still going!
Written when he was 19!
Sometimes the right things just come together.
I love LOVE Willie Nelson's version as well. Which is better? Not sure. I love them both.
Miss Patsy had pipes. Even people who don't like country music admire her voice.

My dad hated country music, but LOVED Patsy Cline. I grew up with her music all my life.
Jessica Lange and Ed Harris. Awesome movie
The song doesn´t sounds more rock and roll than country. Perhaps that´s why it´s so appealing to most audiences.
Great movie Sweet Dreams. Have watched it multiple times.
Don't forget "I fall to pieces"!
Yeah!! Finally!! One of my favorite female voices of all time. Another voice lost way too young. BTW.. Willie Nelson wrote this song. One of the greatest songwriters ever.
You do have good taste and an old soul! I do love your reactions. One might say I'm "crazy" about them! Keep it up! I look forward to them.
Patsy was one of a kind. Gives me goosebumps every time.
Patsy is TIMELESS! Her heart and life were in her voice and her songs and still touch us because it was REAL.
She died in a plane crash in March 1963. GREAT voice!!!
I still cry about that ....
When giants walked the earth. Just talent.....no electronics to enhance anything, other than a simple mixing board. Just talent and PURE music! Love it man!
Great reaction. I love your honest and open-minded reactions. I wasn’t alive then either, but it’s good music.
I am old and even I wasn't born for four more years. Patsy is great.
Patsy was crazy good on so many levels! New subject. Doris Day passed away earlier this month at 97 years of age. Could you please play "Perhaps, Perhaps" by her?
Que sera sera (MEANING: WHAT WILL BE WILL BE)
My mother's favorite country singer.
Makes me remember my mom so much. She made me dance with her Everytime she heard this song. Miss you Mom ❤️. ☮️
I grew up down the street from where Patsy was born, so my entire family has always loved her
Floyd Cramer was the piano player on "Crazy." He was primarily a country artist known for his "slip finger" style of playing. This one goes out to my grandma Pat. Her favourite song, played at her funeral. Vocals and production, Hauntingly beautiful! Love you Patricia. ❤
She BELTS it out so effortlessly! Sad she passed away too soon... 🙏🎶❤️
Yes, I agree, we NEED music and singers like this again
I love that you recognize true talent, no matter the genre.
Absolutely !
One of the most gorgeous natural voices in the history of popular music. Ms Patsy Cline ❤️
Her vocal control, and range, were unmatched. She's been a favorite of mine for years.
everyone sing her songs in my childhood ♥ so much awesome music in the 1950's on up . i about 60 years old warms my heart to see you younger people seeking out history of every thing . you'll be wise for it. keep learning every day .
Patsy is my favorite singer. Also Willie Nelson wrote this song. He's incredible also. Great story teller with his lyrics.
I don't know if anyone has told you, but she has that " headband" on to cover a scar from a terrible car accident she survived~ only to die in a plane crash~ such a pure, amazing voice . ( Also a real BADASS chick!)
A similar singer is Etta James. I’d love to see you react to her.
Im 64 always loved Rock and Roll. Never much of a country fan. But fell in love with this song. Go figure.
Patsy had such a smooth, soulful sound. You're right....I really miss hearing voices like hers. I'm so glad you're reacting to some of her songs, JB!
You say "we need music like this again". Well then you should listen to Canadian singer KD Lang. She used to be described as "Patsy Cline reincarnated". She had the most beautiful natural cry in her voice. No one like Patsy, and there will never be anyone close.
Patsy’s music lives on today..! This song is the most requested for karaoke
I grew up listening to her, that woman had passion for what she sang, u could feel it when u listened to her. No one holds a candle to her!
Patsy Cline is my all time favorite singer she just opens her mouth an I fall to pieces!! 😁
I love Patsy Cline, she was taken away, way to early. We need some of that style of music to return. There is more to music then just R&B or hip hop. thanks for sharing this friend

Ppl used to request that I sing this at karaoke. Probably my favorite song by her.
You must have nailed it.
Great music is timeless. I’m happy younger generations can enjoy the music I grew up with. Patsy was my dad's favorite female singer.
And she just poured that out flawlessly, live. No strain at all. Even her more trivial songs are at least fun to listen to, and her best ones are timeless & moving. "She's Got You" is another great one to listen to.
I was only 5 when this came out,but I remember her music. Your right, the younger generation needs music like this!
Yes💗🤗
My Grandmother loved her music. She would go around singing this and Walking After Midnight.
Loved Her. Willie Nelson wrote this song. 💕 I love your passion. What a beautiful reaction.
Just God bless you, man. I'm so glad I subscribed to your channel. Patsy was incomparable. ❤️
She only lived to 30!! Love her singing so much. Thanks for this.
She sang from the heart, one of the best female singers ever.
This song makes me tear up every time. 😪 Patsy was a true soul singer and she obviously touched your heart as well. Her story is a tragic one and well worth discovering.
A great Willie Nelson song.
All the great songs of the past are still out there for us to enjoy!
LOVE SOME PATSY CLINE. I love all her music and I karaoke her all the time
Listen to Leanne Rimes singing "I fall to Pieces(Patsy Cline)"

She’s Got You is a great song by Patsy Cline. Such an emotional performance.
Anybody who's "loved and lost" can relate to this song.
Classic.
Great voice and this must be her best song imo ,thanks for that one
Patsy didn't even like the song but needed one more for new album...she reorded in one cut. Turned out to be one of her biggest hits... Thank you Willie!!!! 👍👍💜

To thiis day...the best female country singer of all times.
Two of my most favorite singers of all times are responsible for this great song. Willie Nelson wrote this & Patsy sang the hell out of it.
We need music like this again ... so true!!
Patsy Cline was a great 👍 great vocalist. Like Karen Carpenter, we also lost Patsy too soon. RIP.
😭 Love her. What a tragic life. Look for the movie
Patsy's singing style has influenced so many singers.....the list is endless.
You sir have a beautiful soul 💜
Love that you appreciate this classic music. Her and Loretta Lynn were very close until she dies. Loretta has some great music also. My favorite is Cole Mines Daughter.
Yes young man we need full grown women and full grown men singing again.
Ahhhh real music 😊 and a real singer with no autotune and no unneeded vocal acrobatics.
Patsy Cline is my all time favorite

I’m so glad you did this one. What a talent she was
No auto tune, just great voices!
This song was new a year before i was born but my oldest memories of music include this song. Maybe i heard it from the womb?
