The actual GOAT of country music! Willie Nelson wrote this song and she absolutely slayed it!
Yes ma'am 100% agree!!! No one better than Miss Patsy!! She is The Legend!!
She was/is the Queen of Country Music!
Wasn’t her voice just perfect on this song! So clear and crisp. The riffs and runs! That tone, that phrasing. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
@@merdedespichard9444 Yes! So perfect!
Oh wow!! Now that is dope 🙌🏾👀🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such a short life, such a voice, she was barely 30 when she passed in 1963. Here we are SIXTY years later and still loving her.
Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "So Wrong", "Leavin' on Your Mind", "Walkin' After Midnight", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams.
Faded Love has always been my favorite recording, they say she was crying as she recorded and you just hear that emotion in that song in particular but in every Patsy song, you feel it in your core. She is the GOAT.
Patsy and Austin play in the same key. Just. FYI
Oh my yes yes yes !
Patsy died far too soon. What a voice!!!
Patsy Cline...well an angels voice.....pure and simple. If not the one of the best voices in Country then the best. She's Amazing; my wife loves Motley Crue, but loves Patsy just as much....great for her. Bending the spectrum.
Patsy won't need three chances to get into the hall of Fame. I haven't seen your reaction yet, but you will love it. Guaranteed!!!
No one can sing like Patsy. That voice ! Love her music. ❤️
She was Definitely a loss too soon,R.I.P. Ms.Patsy, you can go no wrong with anything she sings,Thank You Sir for your reaction hope you have a blessed evening 🙏
She was the original Queen of country music and she died near where my grandparents live 25 miles away near White Bluff Tennessee. Her sound still is as good today as it was then, a truly timeless voice.
An absolute GOAT!!!!!! Love me some Patsy!!
She has the "cry" in her voice that makes you have an emotional connection to her.
Patsy and Loretta Lynn were best friends when she died. Everything she sang was fire, RIP Patsy.
Absolutely love Patsy Cline. Been listening to her since I was a little girl ❤️🔥
Walkin’ After Midnight, Sweet Dreams and I Fall to Pieces ohhhhh and She’s Got You are all absolutely amazing
You have found the original female GOAT of country music.
I always enjoyed her song ... A poor man's roses. All of Patsy's music was soul sang.
Mrs.Patsy is one of the OG’s of country music. We lost her tragically too soon from a plane crash. She made an unforgettable imprint onto country music in her short time here. “walking after midnight” is another classic from Patsy Cline with some great runs in it.
Not a fan of country but Patsy Cline transcends genre. Love her.
EXACTLY 💯 %
Amen
She had so many great songs here is a few more Walking after midnight, sweet dreams, she’s got you
Patsy is truly incomparable…a once-in-a-lifetime talent that was tragically lost too soon. ♥️
Patsy brought a torch singer's mentality to many of her slower numbers. This was one of them. Penned by Willie Nelson, if you can believe that. Like many, she left us young. She died March 5, 1963 in an airplane crash. Several of her band members and her manager were also killed. My mother adored her music so I always think about my mom when I hear Patsy.
Some other good songs of hers is
Walkin’ after midnight & I fall to pieces.
My mom has always loved this song.
I use to sing karaoke to walk-in’ after midnight as a kid 😂
Sweet Dreams was her very best song in my opinion...but then again...no mater what you pick...she will not dissapoint you...she will live in infamy forever....one of the true greats that you wish would have kept singing forever...her voice is haunting and beautiful...no other way to describe it.
Patsy was amazing. Gone to soon. RIP Patsy. Such a beautiful woman inside and out. 💗💗
One of the very best female singers of all time, right at the start from her career in the 1950's. I love her rich voice; like sweet mellow maple syrup. Her last live concert was at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS in 1963.
I have listened to this song and loved it to this day since 1961. I never tire of her amazing voice.
Just pick any songs of hers and you will not be disappointed. Sweet Dreams (of you) and I Fall to Pieces are just amazing!
I grew up listening to Patsy Cline. My mom loved her..and so do i.
Sang sang. And Willie Nelson wrote it too.
Willie Nelson wrote it when he was a down and out Nashville songwriter, before hitting it big himself and Patsy took it to the top of the charts. Also, dig Nashville session piano ace Floyd Cramer tickling them keys - so great!
Patsy Cline was one of my Dad's favorite singers, growing up I was always listening to her. Miss you Dad. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hard to comprehend that Willie Nelson was an accomplished songwriter/artist even during those days, in 1961, and is thankfully still with us in 2022.. Not many people from those historic days are left.
That was the year after my mom was born, and my mom is now 61.
Love me some Patsy Cline❤
A tragic life, a sorrowful end, written by Willie Nelson, one of the most iconic Country anthems.
Check Home Free’s tribute to this classic. They didn’t do better, they didn’t change, they bowed and paid homage and justice, to an all time (Lonely) heart piercer.
Every time Patsy opens her mouth greatness just spills out all over the place. Legendary is an inadequate description, but it is the closest word we have for what she is.
The movie Sweet Dreams tells the story of Patsy and Charlie and her relationship with Loretta Lynn. It was well done.
Willie Nelson wrote Crazy and Patsy made it famous.
Walking After Midnight is one you should check out.
@turnthepage7239
I just rewatched "Sweet Dreams" a few days ago, nothing about Loretta in it. It's the biopic about Loretta, "Coal Miner's Daughter" that shows their friendship..with Beverly D'Angelo playing Patsy to Sissy Spacek's Loretta Lynn.
I'm always recommending both those movies to people. Both so good!💙
@@deborahcornell171 You're quite right, I made a mistake and combined the two movies.
@@turnthepage1972
It had been many years since I'd watched "Sweet Dreams" & I was a little surprised that their friendship wasn't depicted at all.
But "Coal Miner's Daughter" pops up on tv often enough that I see it every couple of years.
"Sweet Dreams" was recently available on a streaming service I don't subscribe to but I found it here on RUclips (& it's free) in case you're interested.💙
@@deborahcornell171 Thanks 😊 I had the movie on VHS and that's how long ago I last saw it
😂 but I can still see her crying out for Charlie when the plane crashed. It was a poignant scene whether true or not.
👀
Pick any song of hers for the next reaction. Not a bad one in the bunch. She was, still is and will always be an Icon.
She is my favorite country singer. I listened to all the greats while growing up. It's so sad she was taken from us so soon.
You just struck country gold !!
Great choice handsome man!
Patsy is a GEM!!!! Walking after midnight....that's a great song too!!!
Ahhh Patsy, 👑 of classic country music! Rich tone, never off key!
The Queen of country,. Walking after midnight, is my favorite
About the finest voice, ever, all genres. ❤. You’re Stronger Than Me, Blue Moon of Kentucky.
Walkin’ after midnight is my next favorite after crazy!! She was amazing, gone too soon!!
Her voice is singularly unique, so rich and beautiful. I can not think of another singer who’s voice is like hers.
She in the Country Music Hall of Fame. She died very young in an accident. She’s fabulous and this is my favorite song of hers.
Love love love your reaction!
Keep them coming. Thank you.
Love Patsy.🥰❤️🥰
WALKIN AFTER MIDNIGHT is iconic...
What a voice! I was 10 years old when she died in 1963. My parents were devastated, they loved her!
Love Pasty Cline ! Sadly she was killed in a plane crash in 1963. I Fall To Pieces and Sweet Dreams are a couple more that are excellent !
The way she almost lets the note die before bringing it back and then vibrato the hell out of it. She makes it look easy.
One of my absolute favorites! Please listen to more of her! “Walking After Midnight” is unreal, “I Fall To Pieces”, “She’s Got You”, “Sweet Dreams”, and “So Wrong” are some other favorites!
Written by Willie Nelson and how we all cried when her plane crashed in Middle Tennessee so many years. The world was denied seeing where her music would take her.
" Walking After Midnight" will set your sould on fire!!
She's country, Walking After Midnight is another big hit
Walking After Midnight should be the next reaction video
Aunt Patsy was one of the best. Walking after midnight or stop the world and let me off should be next.
Even though she has been gone for almost 60 years, Patsy is still considered the standard others are measured againest and fall short. She is listed as #1 on most lists still. Besides her voice which is amazing, she internalized every song while singing it, she FELT the emotion of the song, her recording of Faded Love she was crying at the end, you can even hear it.
I may be wrong, but I put her and Winehouse as best voices oat.
Patsy and 3 others died in a plane crash in Tennessee in 1963. She was 30 and one of the most popular C & W singers in the country.
"Crazy" was written by a very young singer/songwriter named Willie Nelson. The delicate piano accompaniment in this recording is by Floyd Cramer, who was loved and copied by many pianists of the day and is still considered a genius.
Her voice makes you feel what she's singing ❤️
She had just been in a car accident a few weeks before they recorded this. She hit the windshield with her head and was wearing the headband to help hide it. Sweet Dreams is a must hear too!
she was such a classy lady. Home Free (well, Austin) did a cover of this song and Austin took the lead on it. Glad that she is in the hall of fame.
dude her life is a music catalogue its a very cool rabbit hole my husband took just her tape to Vietnam with him he said that's why he lived patsy, one of the best, god bless love much
Patsy lives on for sure. A legend in country music.
Patsy was bff with Loretta Lynn. I was very young when she died in a private plane crash. Smooth wonderful voice. I am a fan of most women of country, mostly due to my early exposure to Patsy
"Walking after Midnight" by Patsy is all I got to say 💯 🔥
🔥finally Patsy!! Walking After Midnight, Faded Love, I Fall To Pieces, She’s Got You, Sweet Dreams, Leavin On Your Mind, Tennessee Waltz, Your Cheating Heart, just to name a few. Take your pick, I’ll wait 😎💜☮️
Patsy always reminds me of my mom, she looks alot like her.
Oh My Patsy was around blowing the hats off people before Loretta Lynn hit the circuit - She’s a Queen of Country
One of my all-time favorite songs. You might try Walkin' After Night. It's obvious that you 'get' her.
Paths was not only good friends with Loretta Lynn but also a major pillar of support for the younger Loretta when she started her career.
I AGREE I GET CHILLS WITH PATSY'S VOICE 😮
Welcome to the wonderful world of classic vocals! I love that you appreciate a great voice, regardless of the genre of music. Thank you for the reaction. ❤
Yes great artist in her day. Walking after midnight listen to that one
Walking after Midnight is another one of her big hits
This is Classic Country....and my favorite of her songs is 'Walkin' After Midnight'
When I first heard this song, it almost brought me to tears... such a tragedy that she left us too soon.. R.I.P. Patsy Cline.
It was so sad when she died she died in a plane crash I’m 23 but have a old soul I love old music and things and I feel very connected to patsy her music hits my soul every time she had 2 kids she left behind due to a storm that took her plane down
She is already in the hall of fame ....
LOVE PATSY CLINE, GROWUP LISTENING TO HER
Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline - can't put them in any genre box - they're just two of the greatest of all time. What a perfect combination it was.
"Walkin' After Midnight" One of my favorites.
Walkin' after midnight, She's got you, I fall to pieces, Sweet dreams, Leavin' on your mind, Why can't he be you, Faded love
She was amazing. Still listen as often as I can. Thanks.
She and Loretta Lynn were very good friends and toured together when Loretta started out. They are the queens of country music
1st off, cutest sneeze award goes to @ABTHEKREATOR at least I think it was a sneeze LOL
2ndly Patsy is the ultimate #GOAT in women's county 👏🏼 she gives me chills with this song.
"Sweet Dreams" is a must. She recorded it prior to her death and it was released after. "Crazy" was written by Willie Nelson.
Great first choice to discover patsy cline. She is a country cross over legend
Funny story. I heard an interview with Willie Nelson, who wrote the song and when he gave it to Patsy it wasn't titled "Crazy." Willie titled the song "Stupid" Patsy made him change it to Crazy and he laughed when he told the story and said "I am so glad she did that." Patsy and Loretta Lynn were best friends and Loretta saved her after she was in a bad car accident. Great voice , tragic life.
Yep. Took about as long as I thought it would for you to induct Patsy into the hall of Fame. The only artist I have ever heard come close to her is Lea Ann Rimes. In fact if you react to Lea Ann Rimes singing Blue I think you will induct her even quicker.
She's got you, I fall to pieces, Walkin after midnight, back in baby's arms are all great!
I fall to pieces ,walking after midnight! Solid gold
It's funny watching people hear Patsy for the first time. We all new she was going to be a hit before he even heard the first note.
She's Got You must be the next Patsy Cline song you groove to.
Best pipes in country music, to this day.
Patsy Cline is the absolute best in Country Music!! She is the Goat!! What female Country stars hope to become and what their foundation is built on. She was definitely gone to soon.
Great Reaction. This was my generation and I grew up listening to her until she was killed in a plane crash. What a loss.
GOD BLESS YOU.
GOD BLESS YOU.
Now that you've heard the original version. You should check out Home Free's cover if Crazy.
Such a rich, soulful voice!
Wonderful artist that we lost too soon. No one could of imagined she would be gone just 2 short years later ❤
She's got you, is another great one.. This is a rabbit hole you need to dive into...👌👌👍👍
I can never watch one of your reactions without an immediate reaction..."You are just SO dang cute." Patsy was a legend from my generation. Timeless...
You'll love Patsy singing Sweet Dreams
