To anyone who is going to install this on their truck, regardless of truck year - make sure you get lock-tite for the bolts that come with the spacers. When you go to tighten down the nuts on the spacer bolts without the locktite, it'll just back the bolts out. Locktite fixed the problem. My truck (2019 big horn) came out just like the one in the video. I love it. Ride quality still feels the same like stock.
Great video man! One thing I do differently when undoing the upper ball joint, I loosen the nut off until about the last 2-4 threads, and hit the knuckle with my plastic mallet to brake the ballpoint free. Makes chances of destroying the ballpoint boot almost 0. But definitely a very instructive video!
Wish I would have read this comment before trying to install it. Can you replace just the boot? If so do you know the part number? If not, do I just need to replace the whole UCA?
I just installed the leveling kit on my 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn, the video was great, i watched it about 20 times before i started the install. I just wish you had shown in the video the re-install, what a work out that was, but i got it done and back together, now i can't find anyone in my area that will align the truck, they all say they don't have the software for the 2019!

Me and my buddies took on this project last weekend. Took us three hours for the first side (some of that waiting for the pickle fork to show up) and an hour on the second side. Got it aligned the next day ( looks like they used 2018 specs) and it drove great. Picked up the Fuel Mavericks in 20” with the BF Goodrich K02’s 275/65R20 (about 34” tall). Looks and rides great! I figure if the ball joints or bushings go out prematurely, I will just upgrade them at a later date. Thanks again for the video, very helpful. I kept wondering why you guys were using the open end wrenches instead of sockets...then I realized that you need to hold the bolt on the bottom with the smaller wrench or socket to keep it from spinning 🤣. One note...make sure that the threaded studs are in good! I had one back out when tightening. Good luck!
William, thanks for your information! I have a 2021 Ram 2WD and wondering If you can provide with the part number so I can do the same thing. Thanks in advance!

It is definitely confusing. It is a 50/50 spacers to spacers plus uca. To much stress on the ball joint. Yet you are saying you have no issues. Do you have 285’s on
why did u remove caliper? ive done several of these kits myself but never removed caliper usually let rotor caliper and all just drop down while removing the strut but I have not done new ram yet, I will in 2 days so was wondering why caliper was taken off?
Wouldn't a good spring compressor have done the job? Wouldn't have had to bust all that stuff off. Compress the spring, 3 top bolts, bottom bolt and it probably would've come right out.
Question ...?... could I run 20x9 with 2inch hub centric spacers without a lift .. and if so ... what’s the biggest tire I can run on them wheels ?... thank you for your time
I think you would need a level to run that setup because I think you would rub when you turn. I am leveled with 20X9" wheels with 2" hub centric spacers and I rub at full turn with 285/60-20 BFG A/T KO2 Tires..
I just ordered the same kit. Was wondering on what you think would be best size tire to put on the stock 18in rims. I like your tire size but yours are 20s I think it sits perfect. Perfect set up. Also perfect video. Looks great
I was thinking of using this same kit on mine, just wanted to know how you find suspension afterwards, does it put any additional stress on ball joints, tie rods, or stabilizer links.
Ok so small problem if you use the motofab spacer or any solid spacer. Your supposed to switch LH to RH bc the spacer makes you turn the Strut 180 degrees. This can become a annoying squeaking sound. It's best to buy the triangle type that way the come off and go on the same way.
Does this add extra wear on other front end components? I do a lot of driving and just wondering if I should use this spacer or go with a leveling strut. Thanks
Had one on my 2016 Ram 1500 drove over 50,000 miles. At least 30% in true 4x4 mode doing earthwork for government jobs. Never had a single problem. Got 75K miles out of my 35 Hankook all terrain stock rims. Took the plastic air diverted off and makes it look even meaner. Cheap fixes.
Do you have the offroad springs? Anyway you could grab a measurement from the center of the wheel cap to the fender? I have a 2020 built to serve and fca installed the wrong front springs. I see you have the offroad shocks so I'm assuming your springs are offroad as well. My shocks are the offroad but springs in the front are the standard 1500 2wd springs. Trying to get it resolved. But interested to see what your height is. I'm 21.5 in front and 23.5 in the rear. Thanks.
I'm about to do the same to my 2019 Ram pick-up. I have the Lone Star edition. If I may, how has the ride on your held up since installation? Thanks in advance.
Do you know the height it sits now to the middle of the fender with the 35s? I want to upgrade to a 2019 I have a 2017 now with 20x12 and 35s and was wondering if with the level it sits where mine does with a level. Thank you.
Is it true that with this leveling kit the strut will wear out faster ? I’ve heard that this is not really a reliable leveling kit , this is the only thing from stopping me to buy it , i do have a 4gen ram 1500
Just to update some of you that might be interested, i did install the leveling kit and YES it is true that with time the balljoint will wear out faster..so to help you on your decision i will post the pic before and after the leveling kit
How did this affect geometry? I want to do this kit on my 2020! I don't have an offroad package to give the 1" extra lift from factory. I do mostly highway driving.
Would this leveling kit fit 2020 Ram 1500? I was planning on getting the MotoFab 3’ spacer..would i need new upper control arms to adjust the angle? Thank you.
This video is great....after a lot of debating Im going to do their 3in in the front and 1in in the rear and roll with 295/60/20's. Stoked! That should give me about 1/2 of rake right? I always have dirt bikes in the back and a tiny bit could help. This seems better than the 3.5in SST kit from ReadyLift.
Just got a leveling kit on my 2019 ram 1500 today and my wheel well covers look like yours now. Do you know of any covers I can use to cover everything again? Great video by the way!
Great video and beautiful truck. This is exactly the package I want. White on black look (I'm also gonna powder coat the rims white). I noticed you didn't black out the 1500 hemi badge though. Any particular reason? Also do you know of a kit you would use to raise the truck around a 5-7" lift??? I'm looking to raise mine up around that ball park when I get it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks bro!
I haven't decided what I want to do with the hood emblem yet.. As far as going with a 5-7" lift, I would look at Ready Lifts for the new trucks.. I don't have any recommendations on those lifts. All I did was a 2.5" leveling kit which are basically just strut spacers.
@@DOOWORKMOTORSPORTS thanks for the response. I'll look into those lifts. I subscribed so, I will be looking forward to more videos from you. I can't wait to upgrade from my 2013 Ram big horn to the 2019.

Love the video, but some added advice. I don't see a jack stand anywhere during this install. For the love of god always have a safety net. That jack fails, or slips, and this typle of install can be a fatality, or extremely expensive and avoidable mishap. Aside from that, it looks good.
Great video. Quick question will this lift kit work on a 2019 ram 2WD?? Just like you i'm looking to raise it and not do any offroading, but still maintain that smooth ride. Please let me know. Thanks

This kit won’t work on a 2wd? Aren’t the strut assembly’s the same tho? I have a 2wd 19 also. I’ve read up that the 4wd’s and 2wd’s have no difference between them on the 19’s. But I could be wrong. I have the kit on stand by.
hey i have the same truck but in blue. just wondering where you got the white vinyl overlays for the ram emblem on the front and what did you use to do the side emblems black?
You don't need a pickle fork you just use the hammer on the strike zone of the upper control zone. You don't need to take any wires off just pull the abs like little push pull tab out and you have enough room. And im sure there is some sort of difference between years motofab would just say from years 10 to 21 not waste money on r and d new tooling to make a new style if the old ones were rite for the new Gen. I'm sure you could find a 6 lug wheel you could bolt to your hubs too just because the holes line up don't mean it's rite
having some trouble finding a good resource for tire sizes to run with the leveling kit. So this week i am going to do the motofab 2" leveling kit... Thinking I will be going with the 285 60 20s... Stock wheels no spacers. Do you think I will have rubbing? I was also considering the 285 65s but thinking there could be rubbing issues. Do you have any resources on tire size that you used to help you make your decision on tire size?
When you put this kit on, was the springs put back on the same position when taking them off or did y’all have to spin the springs for it to fit back on?? I got the same kit from the link you added ,took it to a local shop they put it on but it makes knocking sounds on speed bumps and small potholes on the roads. I took it back they told me ,it might be the kit,and if y’all had to sping the springs to fit it back on ?
We had to spin the struts to fit them back into the truck for the bolts to line up with the holes.. I don't hear any knocking noises when I go over bumps though..
Thanks for video and I am attempting to copy your approach on my 2020. Question- would you use the BF Goodrich tires again? Do the front tires rub the undercarriage or wheel well.?
I love leveling kits the best they’re the most practical and best performance wise and actually makes the suspension BETTER. After the level and actual lift kit I’m not a fan of. Had one truck was so damn slow then with big heavy tires was just a slow ass gas guzzler this won’t affect any of that

Looks pretty AWESOME! I had a Pro-Comp 2" leveling lift on my 2019 RAM 1500 Rebel, but would like to go to 2.5. How will this affect the ball joints ? I have heard bad stories of issues.
It wear the ball joints out a lot fast then leaving it stock if you're going to do a good leveling kit you might as well replace factory shocks with a two and a half inch over stock length and A-arm and yolk so that to avoid any ball joint issues in the future
@@charleswoolman7231 Seriously, is this truck in the video a extreme off road racer going up against a raptor, it looks more like a pavement princess to me, driving it around town will last the lifetime of the truck, I know a few older rams with spacers and they got 250,000 plus miles on them and still never had issues with the joints, keep them lubed especially if you play in the water a lot or live in a rainy city.... and no curb hopping in the walmart parking lot and these balls will last forever. Thanks for the like man! Glad to see people agree.
why did u remove caliper? ive done several of these kits myself but never removed caliper usually let rotor caliper and all just drop down while removing the strut but I have not done new ram yet, I will in 2 days so was wondering why caliper was taken off?
Wouldn't a good spring compressor have done the job? Wouldn't have had to bust all that stuff off. Compress the spring, 3 top bolts, bottom bolt and it probably would've come right out.
Sweet looking truck!! Well done sir!! Well done.
Thank you!
Great video.
There is other videos that suggest using larger control arms did you notice if it was real tight with the factory control arm
Yes it was tight, but the factory control arms worked just fine..
DOOWORK PRODUCTIONS .. I appreciate it .👍
I just ordered the same kit.
Stephen Allen are you saying if you use the round spacers put the driver side strut on the passenger side and visa versa?
Any issues with tire size? Im setting up to do this same exact configuration. Tires are already here, so Im hoping no issues
Did you do it yet?
@@hubertantenor4956 Yes sir...Absolutely love it. Zero issues, looks great
@@robz4825 do you have a 2wd? I want to know if I cans do this on my truck. I have 35x12.50R20 setup already
@@hubertantenor4956 I have 4WD
I was told with the 285s you have to reset your speedometer or it is off. Did you do that? Cost? Dealer do it or tire shop?
Does this add extra wear on other front end components? I do a lot of driving and just wondering if I should use this spacer or go with a leveling strut. Thanks
Had one on my 2016 Ram 1500 drove over 50,000 miles. At least 30% in true 4x4 mode doing earthwork for government jobs. Never had a single problem. Got 75K miles out of my 35 Hankook all terrain stock rims. Took the plastic air diverted off and makes it look even meaner. Cheap fixes.
Can you update us on this kit have you had any issues with ball joint issues
No issues thus far...
Please tell me where you got that orange reflector tint overlay for the headlights
I made it out of window tint.
Thanks.
Did you compress the coil spring and spin the top of the strut, or just turn the strut around?
Turned Strut around.
@@DOOWORKMOTORSPORTS thanks pal! Nice videos... keep up the good work 👍
@@erikcoolidge5268 Thank You!
Anyone know what tires and size are on that truck? Looks great
It was mentioned many times in the video and a bunch here in the comments, but the tires are 285/60-20 BFGoodrich KO2 Tires..
Thank you
I'm about to do the same to my 2019 Ram pick-up. I have the Lone Star edition. If I may, how has the ride on your held up since installation? Thanks in advance.
Any rubbing at full lock with the 285 60 20 tires? I want to run this size on my 2019 factory wheels.
Only with 2" wheel spacers they rub at full turn..
Do you know the height it sits now to the middle of the fender with the 35s? I want to upgrade to a 2019 I have a 2017 now with 20x12 and 35s and was wondering if with the level it sits where mine does with a level. Thank you.
the instructions mention nothing about removing the caliper?
I mean that's just what we did to get it out of the way and make things easier. Do whatever you want lol
Can you get the TIS544 22 inch rims on this truck with same tires you got ; will it fit on a leveled truck?
Should have got Bilstein 5100 you will see in a year or two when your replacing your shafts and front suspension.
This truck is 5 years old lol I get a new one every year. Never keep a truck over 20,000 miles.
I do mostly highway driving.
ive done this the rear still looks a bit lower than the front thinking of doing 3 inch or 3.5 to get that true level.
Would this leveling kit fit 2020 Ram 1500? I was planning on getting the MotoFab 3’ spacer..would i need new upper control arms to adjust the angle? Thank you.
Yes it will.. I didn't replace the UCA's.
where did you get those headlight amber blackouts?
Custom made them with some 3M vinyl..
That suspension looks identical to my 2016! Only difference, the sway bar is on the back.
That's right, for 2019 they moved the sway bar to the back..
@@DOOWORKMOTORSPORTS do you know if it is the same struts used in the 4th gens?
No, they are different.
I tried this and my cv came out when trying to get the now-longer strut in place. Any idea how to prevent this?
No I'm sorry, I did not have that problem when I did mine..
Since it does not compress spring will it change ride
Yeah, it rides a lot rougher than stock..
Correct.
I wonder if the have a 1/2in spacer for the rest?
Plastic the Ram emblem? I want to do that on the side as well. How do you do that?
Plasti-Dip, you buy it in a can from Lowes, and you literally spray it on like spray paint..
Thank you, I appreciate it!
YOOOOOOOOOO! I got the truck. Laramie white sport package! How do you like the ride with the lift so far? Also what did you use to black out the Ram lettering?
The ride with leveling kit is great. Not much different from Factory IMO... I used plasti dip for the RAM emblems...
Im looking for a 2.5” front leveling kit i wanted to ask if this works for 2wd? Or only 4wd
4x4 Only!
@ thank you for the response im trying to look for a 2wd one!!
I have the same truck I don’t have a lot of mechanical under my belt would you suggest that I try taking on this task myself or have a mechanic do it
You can do it! Just follow my steps in the video!
When I use the link and go to amazon it says this wont fit my 2019 dodge ram.
It says that, but it does fit..
Looks wicked man!! Good tire choice as well!
Damn that upper ball joint is toast
Got a 2020 lonestar/bighorn. Definitely inspired to do the 2.5 level. Pick up looks so sexy. Hope my max steel color looks just as good as this white on once complete.
Nice truck just never understood why the tinting of the front windshield
Because I like the way it looks, and it's nice not having to squint in the sunlight, or use sun glasses :)
Thanks
This kit will not work on any 2WD RAM's. Sorry.
Bsc285 what did you end up going with. I have the 19 2WD also
Sam Patterson, P.A. 561 346 8555 hey Sam I haven't done anything yet. I'm just researching. Won't do anything until next year though. Once I do I'll let you know, and throw some pictures up.
This kit won’t work on a 2wd? Aren’t the strut assembly’s the same tho? I have a 2wd 19 also. I’ve read up that the 4wd’s and 2wd’s have no difference between them on the 19’s. But I could be wrong. I have the kit on stand by.
@bsc285 it will fit on a 2wd 19 ram. Just installed it on mine last weekend. The MotoFab 2.5”
hey i have the same truck but in blue. just wondering where you got the white vinyl overlays for the ram emblem on the front and what did you use to do the side emblems black?
Will these work on a 19 ram rear wheel drive?
What’s the biggest tire size you can go with a 2.5 in leveling kit? Any one know
33"... 35" tires will rub..
I want this kit! How does it ride and wear 3 years later?
You don't need a pickle fork you just use the hammer on the strike zone of the upper control zone. You don't need to take any wires off just pull the abs like little push pull tab out and you have enough room. And im sure there is some sort of difference between years motofab would just say from years 10 to 21 not waste money on r and d new tooling to make a new style if the old ones were rite for the new Gen. I'm sure you could find a 6 lug wheel you could bolt to your hubs too just because the holes line up don't mean it's rite
What about 2wd trucks ?
Looks damn good Bud!!
Thanks!!
having some trouble finding a good resource for tire sizes to run with the leveling kit.
I wanna level my 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel. Did it affect ride quality?
When you put this kit on, was the springs put back on the same position when taking them off or did y’all have to spin the springs for it to fit back on?? I got the same kit from the link you added ,took it to a local shop they put it on but it makes knocking sounds on speed bumps and small potholes on the roads. I took it back they told me ,it might be the kit,and if y’all had to sping the springs to fit it back on ?
We had to spin the struts to fit them back into the truck for the bolts to line up with the holes.. I don't hear any knocking noises when I go over bumps though..
I have the same issue did you find a solution?
@ Aldo Alaniz
DOOWORK PRODUCTIONS what do you mean “spin” the struts
Thanks for video and I am attempting to copy your approach on my 2020. Question- would you use the BF Goodrich tires again? Do the front tires rub the undercarriage or wheel well.?
Yes I would, I love these tires.. And yes it does only when I run my 2" wheel spacers..
I love leveling kits the best they’re the most practical and best performance wise and actually makes the suspension BETTER. After the level and actual lift kit I’m not a fan of. Had one truck was so damn slow then with big heavy tires was just a slow ass gas guzzler this won’t affect any of that
Did you end up putting wheel spacers on. ?
That looks Clean! Brotha,Would doing that Void warranty from Dealership?
Thanks, and I'm not sure about that..
what is the size on this tires? do they rub?
285/60-20
No Rub.

Does this work with a 2019 2WD? I saw that it said 4wd
No it does not...

@@jasonm230 did you notice any issues in ride quality or bottoming out?
Just confirmed on their website. It does work on the 2019 new body 2wd
Looks pretty AWESOME! I had a Pro-Comp 2" leveling lift on my 2019 RAM 1500 Rebel, but would like to go to 2.5. How will this affect the ball joints ? I have heard bad stories of issues.
Thanks, I haven't had any ball joint issues since the install.
Now if your seriously going extreme off road then you already know what to do with the $6,000 you need to build the suspension and this video is not in your list of things to do...
