    Hi there! Love the video. I wish it was out months ago when I was working on my hunter. From my experience, gorillas are hugely underrated as I use mine for everything except MC/Ony/BWL. They make farming easy since I pull upwards of 5 mobs and have it thunderstomp to pick up aggro. The best thing about it is that I can freely multi-shot after a thunderstomp (hits for ~180 normal, 300 crit) and NOT worry about pulling mobs off the tank.
    As for my raid pet, I use a wind serpent and have found the following spec most useful: Rank 10 Stamina (185), Rank 8 Bite (25), Rank 2 Dive (20), Rank 3 FR (45), Rank 6 Lightning Breath (25) = 300

      Yes I definitely should have released this months ago.
      Would have likely got more views haha.

      I agree about Gorillas. Thunderstomp generates way more threat than the damage would indicate. I was very impressed when my Gorilla was tanking 3 mobs and multi shot was not pulling aggro off it. I’ve been making a point to give lots of pets a fair try because numbers are just that. Actually using a pet often tells a whole other story.

    thanks for the guide. specially at 00:14:10 about learning the ability . I never seriously played or learned the hunter class since retail. back in 2006. so I am trying these classes I missed out now at classic servers.

    Moving onto disgusting retail reference!
    It's pretty sad that I didn't know this much about hunter pets back when I was raiding with a hunter. Had I known this information I would have been raiding with a wolf or bird.

    I've seen a video that claims that ferocious howl is bugged doesn't work. It's apparently used up by yellow attacks and never applies the extra damage. Curious if anyone else saw this or knows about this, because it makes or breaks wolves.

    I started playing WoW Vanilla in 2004 and Pets during the early phases had incredible abilities that got hit so hard with the nerf bat, they essentially never really recovered.
    There was so much incredible potential with Hunter pets. Who at Blizz held an undying hatred for them remains a mystery but I think someone must have.
    Why didn't Spiders get Poison? Biggest real world scare from these things but naw, folks might like that in the game.
    Scorpids got it, one of the reasons I always had a Scorpid pet (DeathFlayer of course). The poison comes into play a lot more than I think you give credit here my friend. Turning Claw off 'auto' is key, so he uses poison more often = stacks quicker.
    When I booted up WoW Vanilla Classic, my Hunter was my second toon resurrected (after my 'Lock). I immediately grabbed Deathflayer on hitting Lvl 13 and yeah, sadly, his speed was nerfed for patch 12. Still kept him though, always was fond of the little guy. :)

    Poor neglected Raptors... Thankfully there's some unique Cat skins out there. Always keep 1 stable slot free while leveling to tame new ability ranks.

      Yeah, I'm so sad about raptors. They really should have at least gotten dash.

    My bear Jimmy will always be my pet in hardcore classic. The HP and armor boost makes him a great meat shield. Jimmy is the best. 🤣 also not a picky eater.

    Love raptors, I'll usually make the trek on my alliance toons all the way to Durotar or the Barrens to tame some as soon as I can for nothing else than the looks, real shame their abilities, or lack there of rather is so ass.
    To anyone else who wants unique pets at an early level, an alliance player can easily jump off the boat from Ratched to Booty Bay right as it's about to pass the Echo Isles, which is home to level 8 striped tigers, you can't get one until Stranglethorn otherwise. Especially on HC walking around with a tiger at level 10 can turn heads, and cats are actually good.

    I'd like boars alot more if charge and dash did not share a cooldown. That alone was a dealbreaker for me from ever using a boar lol

      @Clayray87 4 года назад

      So what pet are you using? With my night elf I use BrokenTooth. I just switched to Troll and am using a boar. I like it okay so far! Lvl 16!

      @@Clayray87 Well leveling as BM i used whatever I wanted for fun until like level 45 and then switched to a bat/owl/carrion bird for screech. At 60 I use the white cat Shy-Rotam, but I do mostly pvp. Nice having dash, prowl, bite, and claw for BM PvP. Wolf would probably be best for PvE for howl tho.

    I just need to let you guys know - Ongobaka's dundastomp has saved me from the guards at Booty Bay and Gadgetzan, countless of times. There's no better pet choice if you're open-world pvping and you need to get guards of your ass. The one minute CD is perfect - since you won't strike in town more than once a minute if you get detected and you need to start running. Thunderstomp will aggro any big number of guards on your wardrobe of a gorilla and buy you time to run be4 they even get him down. You just let him despawn from distance, and repeat DA MOJO. Also - if you like killing as much npc's as possible in one go - dem gorilla neva gonna let ya down.

    • @Bigbobbedboi
      @Bigbobbedboi  4 года назад +1

      I gotta hear the story of how thunderstomp became ongobaka's dundastomp.

      I'll gladly return ya a favor, mon. You propa shufflin' wit dead-eye's Mojo.
      A small piece from Ongobaka's written lore:
      "Ongobaka is only agitated in the heat of battle. A calm determination radiates from his noble bearing, and his fiersome presence. He is the thunderstomper that singlehandedly bashed King Muklah's skull in, with a roar that became legend, and a "dundaclap" - of which valefolk say, the echo will still be heard for many ages..."

    Hi, how u recommend to split training points for bwl ? When it will be useful to have bite and claw ? My pet is broken tooth, also i have max lvl bite from LBRS wolf

    • @Bigbobbedboi
      @Bigbobbedboi  4 года назад

      I would just go with bite.
      I am doing some in-depth testing on claw vs bite and using claw and bite, but it will be a while before I can get it out in a video.

    ok, here is a question for you. I will be Taming a Ravager in TBC classic and my research tells me to give it Gore and Bite. How should I order that on the pet bat, which should go first for max dmg?

  • @trickedouttech321
    @trickedouttech321 11 месяцев назад

    This guy must not play as a hunter, or he would know that Wolves suck, Furious Howl is broken it does not work. I would explain why but not needed. Trust me it does not help at all. In order to get FH to work you need to have the entire party only use white abilities.
