      Dr Juice or ProCure?

@@bottomlinebassin2001 i’ve found better success with procure because it covers the bait in sauce and is a lot stinkier, Dr. Juice goes into the bait but does not really change the plasticky feel or smell of the plastic

Everyone calls this a Cheb rig
Comes from Poland as far as I know but mostly they don’t bother too much with the eyes
I fish them with a four to six inch pike or saltwater fly instead of soft plastic ..they work well
Z man version looks very nice quality 👍

I’m thinking of using these for the zman Ned shrimpz and zman crusteaz. I think it will slay redfish and flounder.

I have the original Texas Eye jigs and I seem to have a bad hookup ratio. I get lots of bites but can't hook them or keep them hooked. A lot of the bites are from croakers and spots and tons of lizard fish, and those are hard to hook. A stiffer rod would probably help, and those thinner finesse hooks might be better. They should be fine with 10 lb test and light drag. Those lighter ones might be good with Z Man shrimp.

Oftentimes the plastic gets in the way of your hookset on these types of hooks.

Missing a lot of fish on these finesse hooks, even with the slam shady on it that has the weedless slot on the bottom, the lure isn't getting out of the way enough for a good hook up.

What rod are you using? The rod's power and action can play a big role in hookset performance as shown in this recent report from an awesome trout bite: www.saltstrong.com/articles/epic-seatrout-exploration-trip/
