Ive caught the most and biggest fish of my life off these lures! 3 and 1/2 and 3 and 3/4 oz weights. The love I have for them (and the fish too) is out of this world

Very nice double and great review and tips. Looks like it is working a charm for you with some nice catches. I got a couple of these sent to me recently from a subscriber, not really sure if they'll work in saltwater, but going to give them a go.

Z-MAN plastics are hard to beat!
Joe, have you noticed the packaging for the Gobius? After a day of fishing, you can actually leave the bait on your line and put the clamshell on it for protection from getting out of shape. That just makes sense, especially with the elaztech plastics.

Thanks Joe! Those clamshells are similar in design to the Dark Sleeper ones and definitely keep the shape intact. I keep mine in a Plano box in their shells. Makes them easier to store and bring out with all the various colors and sizes.

Gobius are solid baits for sure. The only issue that I’ve had is that after several smallies, they tend to start pulling the Elaztech off of the weight inside, and it’s SUPER tough to get the plastic back over the weight. Side note: Rich’s high sticking boat flips are cringe worthy. 🤦🏼♂️
I haven’t had that happen so far with the keel weight. I’ll keep an eye out for that. Thanks for the heads up! Personally I prefer netting over boat flipping, but that’s just a habit from so much skiff and pier fishing.👍🎣
