    Here in South Texas we like to use these with other plastics like down south etc. Get ur fishing pliers and remove the lead chin lock. Super easy and doesn’t ruin ur soft plastic

      Yes sir! I love using these with down south lures. The finesse 1/8th oz texas eyes are my favorite with the southern shad models. For trout

    Best jig ever. I started using them recently and love them. And they’re relatively cheap too.

    I wish they made the Texas Eye jigs with 3/8 heads but smaller hooks, I've only seen 3/8 oz with bigger hooks. 3/8 with a 3/0 or 4/0 hook would be cool for bumping around rocks for flounder and in channels near flats. I use the 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 oz sizes and so far I like them. The action with a Diezel MinnowZ is pretty awesome.

    If I were going to use this, I'd use a regular weighted twist lock hook so I could skip it under the mangroves or dock

      does not work as well as the texas eye IMHO

  • @joestrummer9507
    @joestrummer9507 3 года назад

    Hmm, pretty small gap on that hook for that bait as well as short length from hook point to bend (where shank is in the bait). Sure it won't snag but it looks like the hook point won't expose much on bites and hook-sets thus decreasing your hook-up ratio/landing percentage.

    • @Justin-vg7ij
      @Justin-vg7ij 3 года назад +1

      You should try them again - they are actually super easy to rig with z-man baits. Not so great with traditional plastics. But one diezel minnow on a Texas eye can easily last 20+ fish if not more.
