      Hi Michael, thank you so much for your feedback and subscribing. Means a lot to us! I hope you have a fantastic time in Gdansk. We have just been back 2 weeks ago and done another recording of even more things to do! I won't have time to get that one up before you go. They were just starting to setup the Christmas market which I am sure will be fantastic. Have fun and wrap up!

    Thank you SO much for this video! My ancestors came from Gdansk about 150 years ago. I've always wanted to go there and walk in their shoes so to speak. The pictures on the Internet never did this city any justice so to see this video and all the city's true beauty means the world to me! You have no idea how much all your videos mean to people across the world who want to visit Great Britain but may never get the chance. But thanks to you and your videos, we get the next best thing! ❤

      So glad you liked the tour, we have been many times it’s one of our favourite places in Poland. Delighted we could show you where your ancestors are from. Hope you get to visit one day. 😊

    Let us know what your best things to do in Gdansk are?

    • @yakeosicki8965

      The whole of Gdansk is cool. These are three cities: Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. Any other. Gdańsk is over 1000 years old, Gdynia was built in the 20s of the last century. Sopot is a seaside resort. When you are in Gdańsk, you must try vodka with floating gold. The vodka is called Goldwasser. The Second World War began in Gdansk. The largest museum II W.W. is here. You can take a boat on Westerplatte. It started there at 5.45 on the first of September 1939. The fall of communism also began in Gdansk. It was a workers' strike at Lenin Shipyard 1980. Now there is the museum of freedom - the European Solidarity Center. Of course, in Gdansk you have to eat fish and chips XD

      I wish we had time on that trip to go to Sopot but that will wait for next time!

    When referring to amber, you meant fossilized not ossified which means to make into bone.

    • @MemorySeekers
      @MemorySeekers  2 года назад

      Well fossilised may have been better word but the dictionary states that ossified is also a term for "having become rigid or fixed in position" which it has.

      @@arthi8619 my dear, you read a bit of history, its an old germanic town for 2000 years foundet by the east germanic tribe the Gotic people. The slavic population lived behind the Dnjepr river. You should go back there
