- Making the cutiest little skirt ever. Lots of double crochet :)) I loved making this skirt bc the yarn was so soft. Even tho I had the challenge of usuing two aliens at once, it really wasn’t as difficult as I expected. Idk if you can tell, but I added some silver hoops to the piece at the end. I think it makes it so hot and unique. I notice the crochet community doesn’t play around with enough mediums and I think that should change!
Anyway if u want to purchase reach out on IG @ thewillowexchange ty!!

You throwing it back caught me off guard 😭 the tutu so cute!!!
hahaha gotta do it! ty friend 🤗🤗🤗
I love the skirt so much!! Thanks for this tutorial, just finished it and it only took me 2 1/2 days :) It's super cute and I made it a little bit longer and with more weighted yarn and it still turned out super fluffy and light!
omg yay!!! I’m glad you liked it and made it completely your own🤩 I feel like this pattern works with a bunch of different textured yarns!
Beautiful!! 🥰🥰🥰 so delicate and gorgeous, definitely gonna make this one if I come across a good yarn
aww tysm :)) yes do it!!! ♥️♥️
Making this in turquoise 🔥🔥 thanks for the cute skirt
Yayy!! it’ll look amazing 😊😊🤩

Love a tutorial w good music so that when I keep rewinding it feels like I have my own music on hehe
yesss! it’s like my little music video 😭♥️♥️
this is sooo cute!! i want to make this but with built in shorts for a festival. if i crocheted the ruffle part of this skirt starting a couple inches from the top of the shorts and basically not include the waistband it would give a similar effect?? i havent really made bottoms before haha
hey!! thanks so much😊😊 I think your idea would absolutely work! I would start the triple crochets and make the first row an increasing row, then do a non increasing row. and then back and forth until your desired length. lmk if you have trouble I’m active on @ josierapacz on insta and reply faster if u need immediate help💓 good luck!!🧡🧡🧡🧡✨✨
with the triple crochets*
Can you redo the video showing how to get the skirt to ruffle?
I can definitely do a tutorial on this! basically, after you make the waistband, alternate between a row of no increases, then a row where you increase every 3rd stitch. (so R:1 no increase R2: increase every 3rd stitch R: 3 no increase R4: increase every 3rd stitch etc.) after around 3 rows you’ll see the piece start to ruffle. thanks for watching 💕💕
okay but what yarn is this and where do you get it ? I can’t find it anywhere!
it’s called mohair you can find it at specialty yarn shops or online :p usually Joanns or hobby lobby doesn’t carry this stuff!
Do you have a pattern to buy or a longer version possible. Sorry, i’m new to crocheting.
hi! you’re okay 💖 I’ll make a pattern for you tomorrow and list it to my Etsy :) I’ve been wanting to do that so this comment has kicked my booty into gear!! I’ll make sure to make it readable for beginner crocheters 💗
@@josierapacz THANK YOU SO MUCH, what’s your Etsy?
it’s “The Willow Exchange”. I’m sorry it’s not up yet but I have my mind it on this week!!🥺💗
hi babe, just uploaded pattern to my Etsy (the willow exchange) ♥️♥️
some parts of the video didnt have instructions? can't figure out how the ruffles magically happened and where to put the last dc structure line? is there also a typo because an 8mm hook was shown, but text said 9mm?
Hii! yes I did skip over some instructions! I got lazy sorry! but I do explain more in replies to comments or I have a 2.99 pattern on Etsy. but I will also explain it here:
-double crochet ends at row 2 (of waistline section)
-I think i planned on using a 9 mm but I mistakenly grabbed my 8 mm
-ruffles start at row 7 (of waistline section); end at row 15 (unless you want it longer than mine)
-ruffles are treble crochet 2 stitches, then skip (repeat til end of row), then NEXT row, treble crochet in each stitch as usual until end of row.
- repeat 👆 until you reach row 15 or desired length
lmk if you have more questions!! 🥰😊😊🫶
Can you share the chart? It's so beautiful
hi💓 the pattern is written on the screen in the video but I will be making a written pattern for $2.99 available on my Etsy 🥰
@@josierapaczhi is the pattern available?
just uploaded to Etsy ♥️♥️ (the Willow exchange)
@@josierapacz could the pattern still work if i used bigger yarn and a smaller hook to make it less airy
definitely!!
Can i reproduce this pattern with a 100% cotton yarn?
yes, absolutely!
May i know the type of yarn you used here?
hii, I used two yarns at once! one skein is mohair and the other is an alpaca blend. together they made a fluffier, yet stronger yarn to work with. I recommend using mohair along with a bamboo/cotton blend. BUT, you can use weight 4 yarn if u want to keep it simple. :)
It si pretyyyy, did u add any inc ? 0 o
wait what’s inc? increases?
yes
@@josierapacz
Hii when you switch from the bigger hook to the smaller hook and add two double crochets to each stitch
Can I know how to make ruffle ? And I don’t clear that part. Can you tell me please?
yes! to make the ruffles, use a triple stitch and increase every other row.
for example: row 1- triple stitch to end.
row 2- chain 3, triple crochet in 2nd stitch. triple crochet in 3rd stitch. 2 triple crochet in 4th stitch. (so increase by one stitch every 3).
row 3- triple crochet to end of row.
you’ll do a row with no increase, and then do a row with increase, then no increase, then with increase. this way will create the ruffle!!
hope that helped 💓
This advice helped me lots!!@@josierapacz
hii i want to do this skirt but i must ask what was the length of the yarn? (in meters)
hmm let me see if I can figure it out. I used about half a skein of mohair yarn. I estimate you need about 150 meters
@@josierapacz okayy thank you!🤗
u welcome 🥰💓💓
Waistband using mohair doesn't stretch out easily???
uhh I mean I guess. I would use this as a layering piece and not wear it too much. you could use another yarn maybe.
@@josierapacz all yarns are bound to do that. Hehe. I was just wondering if it can hold the form a bit longer. I'm thinking ribbons... To tie it.
