Just love how you describe the scenes in the puzzles...you have such an awesome sense of humor...I enjoyed seeing what is available in store...without me risking spending any money. Thanks for the excursion. Keep up the great work!
Yes sometimes you do,have to treat yourself. I think I bought at least three this month from now on I will have to keep it to two. My Alice in Wonderland puzzle came last night I love Amazon . I used to do White Mountain puzzles and glue they hung up in our finished basement and some in my laundry room. They were done years ago. I have enjoyed your shorts on you tube. Nice to have a puzzling you tuber to share my love of ouzzles
It’s nice to have you all to chat with about puzzles! I’ve also been learning a lot from all of you! I try very hard to keep my buying to a minimum, not easy at all for me though. Doesn’t help that my husband either surprises me with one or he encourages me to grab some when we’re out 🤣. He knows they relax me. I can’t wait to try my White Mountain puzzle.
Thank you for this fun video. What a great find. Wish we had something like that. CobbleHill was one of my first - and one of my favorites. My partner loves White Mountain, especially the collages and nostalgia.
Glad you enjoyed it! I actually went back to this mall to check out the puzzles in this store recently, and found out that it was turned into a gaming bar...I was so disappointed 😟
@@thepuzzledmandy No way!!! 😱That IS very disappointing. 😩 I also follow Jigsaw Johnie, and he posted a video about a Canadian truck stop, of all places, that was mind-blowingly FULL of puzzles. Apparently, the owner has a passion for puzzles. I hope you find another puzzle haven some day soon. They’re out there. Unicorns really do exist. 😎
What a wonderful place to find! I would be spending hours there. To have puzzles and books in the same store it would be awesome. There were so many wonderful images. You bought some nice ones. I'm doing a White Mountain that I got for Christmas. The image is of Christmas story books. I know that Christmas is over, but that's ok. There wasn't any puzzle dust and the pieces are nice. Your daughter is so cute.
Thank you, she was excited to pop in the video lol. It's never too late to start a Christmas puzzle! I definitely want to get the White Mountain with all the cookbooks next time. There were just too many to choose from!
Cobble Hill are my hands down favourite brand and I’m always on the lookout for the images I prefer. I like their collage puzzles like Tilework and Vintage Tins. They seem to have a great team of in-house designers for that part of their selection. I also do the more traditional scenes like Apple Pie Kitchen and I enjoy the absolutely warm, rich colours.
I really try to make it a point now to buy puzzles from brands I don't currently own when I'm shopping. I'm having a lot of fun trying them out and seeing what the experience is like.
Oh wow really? That's not cool. This store must have opened up recently because I had never noticed it before. I just hope that it'll last because a lot of stores at my local outlet tend to disappear after awhile :/
Great Video! Cobble Hill puzzles are great! The thing about Cobble Hill puzzles is the random cut pieces. Not your ordinary puzzle piece shapes. I am currently working on one right now called "Doughnuts". It's taking me a bit to finish. Good luck with your puzzle.
Happy you enjoyed the video! I've seen the Doughnut puzzle you're working on and I almost picked it up last time lol. I'm currently working on a Dowdle puzzle which also has random cut pieces, and I must say it can be tricky. Just getting it sorted took me awhile, as I was getting confused with some of the "edge" pieces.
I'd be curious about this too. I can't wait to get into all four of the brands you mentioned and compare them. Thank you for giving me ideas about more info to include in my puzzle reviews. Piece sizes can be a big factor for some puzzlers.
Even though I can see that this video is like 7 months old, puzzles in USA are so expensive. We have like 1000pcs here in Czech for less than 10€, if it's not like licensed product (movies, games and so on). I just bought 2 boxes Clementoni 1500pcs brand new and only for 9€ each. But for sure, pictures and brands in US are so awesome. I think like couple years ago, Ravensburger and Dino were the only major producers of puzzle in Czech. I envy you that you have so many choices.
Yea, certain brands here do tend to be quite expensive. There are some that I'd love to pick up and try but I just can't justify spending over a certain amount at times. Thankfully, there are many places in the US where you can buy puzzles for super cheap brand new. They may not be the best brands/quality, but most are still a ton of fun and not too bad overall in terms of puzzling experience.
I just might check it out! But then I wonder if I should attempt to film my first attempt with no prior knowledge of how to complete it and see how I do.
Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm going to think of it when I finally start it. It for sure will be interesting. I've also never tried an actual escape room before. Gonna have to search for one in my area.
You surprised me with your picks - I was convinced the Cook Books would be your top pick! I really like both Cobble Hilll and White Mountain puzzles. I hope you do, too!
Funny you say that, my daughter said the same thing and laughed at me lol. There were so many others that I went crazy over. I guess all the excitement and looking at SO many sets, I kind of just grabbed whatever was closest to where I was standing at decision time. Don't worry, I'll head back for the others!
Thanks for the video! I'm about an hour from The Crossings Outlet and go there from time to time, but never went inside that store. I'll definitely check it out next time I'm there.
Wow so many puzzles to choose from! 😮 never heard of the brand “go!” I did however do a puzzle from White Mountain recently titled Candy Wrappers and I was missing a piece 😢. Hopefully that doesn’t happen to you. Thanks for sharing!
Oh no! I’d feel terrible if a piece was missing after all that work 😭. Another problem would be trying to figure out where to save the “completed” puzzle before receiving the missing piece from the company. I’d never heard of “go” either before I found this store. It was a great discovery to me!
I love the Escape puzzles. I would honestly recommend doing one of the smaller kids versions (368 pieces I believe, I liked the Toy Factory particularly) to get the hang of the "Escape" part. Then move up to the 759 Adult version.
You picked up some great puzzles brands! You’ll love them. As for the escape puzzle, check out Karen Puzzles as she has a video on her doing one of these. I’ve tried them before and they are alright. There are clues in the puzzle image that you’ll have to solve, which the answers are numerical. And the answers will correspond to pieces that have the answer printed on them. Once you have solved all the clues and have all the pieces, you put them together, which will create an image for you to “escape.” It’ll make more sense once you watch her video.
Thank you for explaining it a bit more. I'll also check out Karen's video. I feel like if I don't somehow prepare myself for this, that I just might fall apart lol.
That looks a fantastic place to shop for puzzles. I love Cobble Hill puzzles. I have recently done the 1500 Ravensburger Harry Potter Marauder's Map puzzle and it is the best puzzle I have ever done. I really really enjoyed it and the image is stunning. I intend to redo it and have it framed. I haven't done an Escape puzzle but have heard they can be very tricky to solve the Escape part not the actual putting together of the puzzle itself.
How fun! I have the Escape puzzle (The Observatory) that I am about to open up and do either the next puzzle or the puzzle after. If you haven’t done it yet, since, for some reason, I missed this video when it came up, feel free to contact me and we can work on it at the same time.
Haven't worked on it yet! I have so many that I can't wait to try out that it's so hard trying to plan out when I'm gonna start them all, you might even get to it before me LOL!
If I didn't have to cook dinner that day I would of stayed much longer lol. I'm very excited to try my White Mountain set, and there's lots more that I want to pick up next time. I loved so many of their images.
@@thepuzzledmandy I realized I commented before I saw the end of your video. I love all your purchases. In CA where I live there used to be a GO store in the mall, now it just shows up as a kiosk with a few puzzles and mostly calendars every Christmas. It just not the same!
A hello from Germany 🇩🇪 here. Love your chanel and always look forward to new uploads. I have a couple of escape puzzles. But I think they are not for me, I spot the escape answer straight away and then feel solving the riddles is pointless. P.s. don't worry about the weird rectangular pieces.
Hello! It's great to hear you are enjoying my videos! I'm also excited to know you're from Germany. I'd love to visit there one day and see Neuschwanstein Castle! Honestly, I'm not too sure what I'm going to think off the escape puzzle, but it's something I've wanted to try. I'm sure it'll be quite an experience for me lol.
I’m really hoping this store doesn’t go away anytime soon. I’ve actually haven’t been there in awhile, so I’m going to have to take a trip back there soon. The Nintendo puzzles are so cool!
Your video came up on my feed and I have to tell you that I'm glad it did! Sorry in advance for the lengthy comment. Omg! I just Google the shop and found it's not to far from Lynchburg, VA. I recently moved here and have been searching for puzzling group/ community in the area with no luck. I've been looking for shops carrying puzzles rather than ordering solely from Amazon so thanks for sharing this shop....road trip 🚗🧩. Question: Have you considered participating in a puzzle competition?
Glad you enjoyed the video! I was really shocked to find so many puzzles in one place. I’m just hoping this store sticks around for a long time at that outlet center. A lot of shops always change out. I would consider participating in a puzzle competition in the future. But I feel like right now I’m just not good enough 🤣
@@thepuzzledmandy You're puzzle content is refreshing and have place brands I haven't heard of on my radar. Keep up the good work and much success in the coming days. Happy puzzling!
What a great video!! White mountain puzzles are I think around $19.99 on Amazon and free shopping if have prime. Springbok are Also typically $19.99 on Amazon. I like that cookbook one puzzle have one of the cook books that I used aiot when my boy were growing up , I might have to get a cobble hill puzzle too I also love posters too did a Buffalo puzzle that had a really hide poster really big. Now wish all my puzzles had posters. You got me interested in Disney puzzles I am doing the Bambi one by ravensberger it is nice but taking me a long time to finish. Also if any body is reading this I love my Scoop magnifier, Only I think $10.00 on Amazon. By the way when did you start puzzling. Would love a video where you tell us more about you. You are really my favorite puzzle channel. One note I think I saw some cobble hills puzzles on sale. I have also seen ravensberger on sale. I put puzzles in my cart then save them Amazon will let you know if they go on sale. Keep up the good work. Look forward to your next post.
Wow, thank you for the uplifting compliments! It's very motivating to hear that you really enjoy my channel! My earliest memory of puzzling had to have been when I was about 4 or 5 years old in preschool. I was a very quiet child and would play by myself, mostly completing large floor puzzles on my own. I may work on a future video sharing more about me for you all, kind of like the organizing video I did before. I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday, and saw that the Springbok and White Mountain puzzles were also at $19.99, so that outlet store had a pretty good price in the end! I have to look out for their store sales, as I've heard they could go down to about 40-50% off, which will be too exciting for me lol. How big is your Bambi puzzle? I don't actually have a Bambi puzzle in my Disney collection, I need to get one!
Oh my goodness, you're right! I haven't been to a Barnes and Nobles in ages. That was my hang out spot when I was a teenager in the city. I had only lived about a 5 minute walk away. Now I need to find my closest one and check it out. Thank you for the idea 😁
