I ❤❤❤ this video! You're so cute and funny. I've watched a few of your videos, and I'm subbing! I'm going puzzle shopping at 5 Below tomorrow, thanks!! Thank you!!
Thank you for taking us along on your bargain jigsaw puzzle shopping trip. I guess I've been living under a rock because even though there is an Ollie's ad insert from time to time in the newspaper, I never knew they had jigsaw puzzles. I had never heard of Five Below before, did a quick Google search after your video, and they are all around me. After COVID hit, I just got in the habit of ordering things online and rarely go to stores. I think your eeBoo puzzle is great and I would most like to see you put that one together. At Ollie's I was most attracted to the Pantheon of Women Artists eeBoo puzzle which usually sells for about $24. I saw a picture of it assembled on Reddit and it is beautiful - even better than the picture on the box. Those bargain prices are amazing. None of the Five Below puzzle images appealed to me but I might pop into one of the several stores near me to see if they have anything different from the store you shopped in. Love your shopping videos!
I love taking everyone along for my shopping trips. I get excited sharing them with you all. Check out your Ollie's and 5Belows! You may very well have a different selection than I did. I'm really hoping they have more stocked up the next time I visit. I also found a couple more 5Belows around me, so I have to plan another trip at some point.
I have looked at puzzles at Five Below a few years back. It looks like they have improved their selection. We used to shop at the original Ollie's which was more like a warehouse. Looks like they have changed. I did the Mona Lisa puzzle you saw at Ollie's. It was very interesting. I learned a lot more about that painting because you really have to study the details of the image when you’re puzzling. Since then I’ve looked for more puzzles of famous paintings.
Thank you for another great video! Love your shopping trips! They are a combination of two great passtimes: puzzling and shopping for bargains. It's such a thrill to find something you like at a great price. You got some great deals. I'm fascinated by the chacuterie combined with signs of the zodiac puzzle. I don't get it, but it's quirky, and I tend to like quirky and whimsical. Guess that's also why I love that french fry eating bear. Adorable! That looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. I would be interested in seeing if these Eeboo and Masterpieces puzzles are as good as the more expensive ones. I hope the 3000 piece puzzle has been going smoothly and that there have been no vacuum cleaner incidents. See you next time!
You're very welcome! I love taking you along with me 🤗 And it's so wonderful that I can share my excitement with everyone when I find those super bargains. I'm always excited to put these shopping videos out. That french fry eating bear is super darn cute! I really can't wait to work on that puzzle. I'm thinking about picking up an Eeboo 500 count at some point and do a quality/experience comparison with the 1K. We shall see! As for that 3K count...it's not going smoothly 😟Time has not been on my side and I keep getting stuck!
Hi Mandy that’s was fun shopping with you. I can recommend at Ollie’s the masterpieces fields, department store inside outside. I got off Amazon for AU$45 will about US $30. I enjoyed the masterpieces puzzles when I’ve got them , that at great price US $4.99
There isn't an Ollie's near me (closest ones are in Illinois, about 2.5 to 3 hour drive away). I haven't checked at my local 5 Below yet; the last things I got there were phone charging cables that worked really well. I just picked up an Eeboo puzzle at my library's puzzle swap on Sunday, so that'll be fun too. I saw a few 300-piece Ceaco puzzles at my local Hy-Vee grocery store this week, but didn't look too closely as I needed groceries instead. I also noticed that Farm & Fleet was setting up their holiday toy section last week. Last year they had a pretty good selection of Ravensburger puzzles with some pretty high discounts toward the end of December so they could reclaim the shelf space for their next holiday display...
I think I'll have to make a trip to many stores once the holidays are over, and see if I can snag up some crazy deals. I was thinking about possibly doing a puzzle shopping video, solely checking out grocery stores, or places that we wouldn't expect to go puzzle shopping. Gotta plan it out!
I'm so jealous! Your Ollie's had a much better selection than mine did! I'll have to check back in there in a few weeks to see if they get any of those 1000 piece Eeboos that yours had.
I'm really hoping they have more images the next time I go. So far, many are saying the best time to go is during the holidays/post holidays. I think that's when they restock them. Let's keep crossing our fingers that they do, and that your location will grow it's selection!
You got the exact puzzles from 5 Below that I would've gotten! Also, I had no idea I was a cornichon. Hmm. At least I'm tasty and I go with any cheese. Enjoy your goodies! Headed to 5B to get some myself and also sone for donations!
Wow! I just found your channel - and I really enjoyed this video!!!! I really didn't know that puzzles could be a "thing" -- LOL. I love doing puzzles myself. I can't wait to watch more of what you do! I'm so glad you got the lemonade stand. I really liked that one also. The sushi one looks adorable! All your choices are great! I truly loved the whole haul!
Thank you so much 🤗 Puzzling and puzzle shopping truly are a thing 😉I didn't realize it was till I started RUclips. I started the channel in hopes to connect with other puzzlers and share my experiences. It's been such a wonderful journey so far.
The big selection of Eboo puzzles at Ollies came in around Christmas last year. I don't think they restocked them since then (at least not where I live). The selection was much bigger last winter. Hopefully they will get more in soon.
I almost did grab that department store puzzle, and I'm regretting that I didn't at the time. Who knows, I might pop by again soon and see if they still have it lolol.
During Ollie's holiday or post holiday sale, those Eeboo's wind up being $3.99. So be sure to pop back then! Most of the selection seems the same as last year. It's nice having such a store available. To those without an Ollie's check for any liquidation stores as they receive the overstock items from brand stores. Another spot I found somewhat neat was a big second hand book store that sold even dvds, cds, and puzzles. Got a cork board puzzle from them for maybe under $5. Love the ones you bought!!
Really?!?!? Then I'm definitely heading back during that time. Hopefully they'll have different ones then. Now you got me too excited! I really do need to look up more liquidation type stores in my area as well as more thrift/second hand stores. I was hoping to get some good finds at the local yard sales this summer, but it was a major flop. I guess people in my area don't care for puzzles...or maybe they love puzzles too much that they keep them all LOL.
I was literally telling myself I didn't need to stop at Ollie's this week when I'll be in the area, but oh, well. I'm just glad it's not actually near my house. Ours also has Galison and Mudpuppy, plus my mother loves the classic cars so I'm collecting the Masterpiece ones for her. Also, if you have PoPshelf stores near you, they have $5 puzzles as well. Also, that HP puzzle at 5 Below is adorable and fun.
I hope my local Ollie's starts loading up with Galisons and Mudpuppys, that'd be awesome. I've never heard of PoPshelf so I'll have to look them up and see if there's one nearby, thanks for letting me know. Nothing better than finding good deals.
Take a look at Five Below again. My local one has a couple of Halloween related puzzles. A Beetlejuice one. It's around 250 pieces but a real nice image I think. It also has a Nightmare Before Christmas Prime 3D puzzle. Only 200 pieces but might be fun to try out if you can find it
Nice! I haven't had a chance to go back since this video, but I can't wait to see what else they've stocked up on. I'm actually thinking about trying out these particular puzzles for my next video.
Eeboo is definitely a brand that's up there in price. Those prices at Ollies are a steal of a deal! I can't wait to go back and hopefully find new images.
I can't get over the prices on those Eeboo puzzles. I love Eeboo and always look for them when I thrift shop. I typically oay 4 or 6 dollars for used ones at Goodwill. The round "Positivity" puzzle is really fun.
4-$6 is still a great deal for Eeboo puzzles. Speaking of Goodwill, I still need to head to my closest location. I really hope they have a good selection when I do.
Fun puzzles! I thrifted that charcuterie puzzle but haven’t done it yet. I think the hot sauce one looks fun too! Can’t wait to see your thoughts on them.
I shop Ollie's in my area every few months. Your local store has a much better selection. I purchased the Berlin Life Eeboo puzzle a few months back. I really enjoyed putting it together. I was at Ollie's last week and bought a fairy tale puzzle of Rapunzel. Colors are vivid and I'm looking forward to working on it. Great video. I really need to check out the new 5 Below in my neighborhood.
Those fairy tale puzzle really had some amazing colors. I'm sure the Rapunzel must've been beautiful. Hoping they have more to choose from the next time I visit Ollie's.
Have ordered online, where it is cheaper than local stores, and are waiting to recieve, 10 jigsaw puzzles, that cost me about 190 usd. Mostly Ravensburger. So not very cheap, but worth it. Now, to only find the time to do all of those puzzles (as if I did not have loads of jigsaw puzzles from before that purchase that I have not done yet).
It's hard to stop yourself from buying more puzzles, even when you already have so many 🤭 I still have a ton in my collection that I need to get into. In due time!
"Cancer jam" in the charcuterie puzzle is an unfortunate name.... Nice little haul, Mandy! Wish I'd found some good deals went we were on our little US trip earlier this summer.
I seriously did a double take when I saw that name, then realized it was for the zodiac sign. Hopefully you'll have another US trip and find some deals.
I'm really hoping they release some more Eeboo images at Ollies. Gonna have to head back around December, as many are saying that's when they tend to restock.
I never checked those stores out but great buys for sure. Hope to see comparisons to their more expensive puzzles. I shop at Puzzke Warehouse now for variety and usually get 2K & 3K to keep me busy. They have a rewards program fir each purchase you make and you can cash in whenever. Excited to see your 3K peice coming along...lol Sure its gonna be a beauty when done. Eagerly awaiting to see your progress on that one...... Stay healthy n safe in this crazy weather we are having.
I keep forgetting to check out Puzzle Warehouse as so many mention it. Maybe for the best as I might end up buying too much 😅 That 3K is driving me nuts honestly, super tricky and so many pieces to sift through. I'll get there eventually, just not sure when I'll get another video out as it's too difficult for me to work on something else at the same time. We shall see.
I love Ollie's, i recommend joining their Ollie's army program. They'll send 15% off coupons and that's when I go to buy a bunch of puzzles! Great deals!
MasterPieces Premium BlueBoard Big Ben have thick, satisfying chunky pieces. I was quite surprised when I bought their Dream Girl several years ago at Ollie's! I kept it, loved it. Maybe next time you can pick one up. I haven't splurged in months because I am working on downsizing. .. hopefully I haven't jinxed myself!!! Also, I have the 1000pc Puzzle Complaints by Workman. Fun and funny. The one at Ollie's is their Sandra B(artist) Hippo Birdie to Ewe(Happy birthday to you) as the smaller 300 PC count. I can now get it bc it is much cheaper, and so cute!! Uh, downsizing??,!!! Oops!!! UPDATE Went to Ollies to get a couple...NONE of the ones I wanted from your video were carried by my local store, bummer!!
Ooo I like satisfying puzzle experiences. Will definitely have to pick one up at some point. As for my collection, I've given up on trying to figure out how to downsize 😅 I still have a ton that I need to give away!
I have to say, and maybe off topic a bit, but I don't know how people put puzzles together so quickly. I'm working on one right now that I have left out. Puzzles will sometimes take me weeks to get done. Many pieces i just cannot make heads or tails of and it just ends up being trial and error. I like the idea of puzzles, I like the art. That is why I will spend so much time fighting through the frustration to put one together, taking many breaks and and leaving them out for days and just putting a piece or two together at a time. But I respect people who can just do these puzzles lickity split. I can't.
Before I started RUclips, I would leave a puzzle out for weeks and weeks and work on it very sporadically. As I've gotten better with it over the years, I am able to complete them much quicker. Usually it'll now take me about a week and a bit for 1K's.
@@thepuzzledmandy Just completed the latest puzzle I was working on. I wish to say what I enjoy about them is yes I am terrible at them. no you will never see me do speed runs on them. It could take me weeks with lost of frustration thrown in but after it's finally done, I feel good, accomplished, proud of myself for persevering through the difficulties. I enjoy that part
Love your content. It’s different than the rest. Other channels are starting to become commercials for sponsored products. Unwatchable and inauthentic.
Thank you, I really appreciate that🤗 It is tough though being a RUclipsr, especially if it becomes your main income source, so I can understand why some take on sponsorships. Hopefully they take on ones that they truly believe in and genuinely want to share with everyone, but then again, sometimes they gotta do what they gotta do to make the RUclipsr life feasible. We're usually only earning cents per view if solely dependent on RUclips ad revenue.
@@thepuzzledmandy I totally understand that they take on sponsors, it’s when the whole video is pushing their products. It’s also brands that they work with. When I know the products aren’t as great as they say or pure junk, I stop watching them. Once you lose the trust of the subscribers, it’s so hard to lure them back. Channels die so quickly on this platform.
Darn, I had a feeling they wouldn't be great. But I'm still looking forward to seeing how bad they are 😂It's interesting to see what you can get for cheap.
I am sorry. If you are going shopping please put the items back and stop making a mess of the shelves. You did quite a number at Ollie's and it is not fair for any employee to have to clean up after you.
I actually did fix the shelves after I put the camera away. Not something I film myself doing, but it does get done as it’s a big pet peeve of mine. I used to work retail so I know how obnoxious it can be when customers make a mess of things.
I ❤❤❤ this video! You're so cute and funny. I've watched a few of your videos, and I'm subbing! I'm going puzzle shopping at 5 Below tomorrow, thanks!!

Thank you so much, and thank you for subbing 🤗🤗🤗 I love filming and sharing these shopping videos.
For the Eeboo puzzle of Berlin - the bear is the city's symbol, so it's fun it has a bear!
Thank you! I was wondering about that.
Berlin is also pronounced "bear-leen". My husband is german & I was pronouncing it like an American & he didn't know what I was talking about.
Oh, thank you for sharing! I didn't know that 🤗Makes total sense now.
That's so funny. My hubby is always correcting me as well as he always tells me he knows the "proper" English 😂

We don’t have an Ollies around here, but I may have to check out our Five Below. I’m still inching away on my 3000 piece puzzle!
I'm slowing inching away on my 3K as well. Just wish I was more ahead with it, but it's been so challenging.

Puzzles in Australia are SO expensive ☹
I hear that a lot. I wish that wasn't the case 😟
Good price on all those
Not bad if you're on a budget. I'm looking forward to testing these out.
Wow, I would love to be able to get eeBoo puzzles at those prices. I built the "Votes For Women" round puzzle a month or so ago.
Nice! I'm really hoping they come out with more images soon. I'd love to pick up a round at $5.
Hello
👋
Beware of puzzles at Five Below, the ones distributed by RMS international is awful. Literally identical piece shapes and very poor quality
Thank you! I was thinking about buying one of those. I won’t now.
Darn, I had a feeling they wouldn't be great. But I'm still looking forward to seeing how bad they are 😂It's interesting to see what you can get for cheap.
Yeah, we picked up a few and super loosely goosey, plus the image didn't match the picture on the box.
