That's crazy that you just made a video about these because I was just looking these guitars up and couldn't find any results where someone was playing the new models. PMT, you're mind readers! 😂

Bought one for the heck of it and a guild. Figured id try em both and keep the guild, as ive played em forever. Fender just felt way nicer and sounded better. Sent the guild back. Drives me nuts, but it is what it is. Good.

Guitars themselves have to stand on their own. ......no matter what brand it is.. We have the Fender Paramount Parlor (original first models with pickup adjustments/tuner on top) Would never trade them. Awesome gigging guitars.

Fender acoustics have come a long way. I use to think that they sounded thin.
Also: As always, lovely playing, Meg.

Great review! I have played the new Paramount ps220e in a guitarshop and it sounded lovely. It was the all mahogany model. This is the only video I found about this new series! Thank you!! Jimi

I’ve played enough of the Paramount series over the last few years, to now honestly say that these are the first good acoustics Fender has ever made.

The last couple of years Fender has been following Eastman, Orangewood, Alvarez, etc's lead. It's been awesome for acoustic players lately.

Fantastic review. I saw that you also reviewed the redondo special mahogany. Would you pick one of the newer series over the redondo special mahogany?

I bought the PM-1 Standard Dreadnought All Mahogany NE in Mar 2022, at around £549 (I presume the 'NE' stands for no electronics). I got the pickguard removed, because I am a fingerstylist and a guitar-sans-pickguard looks purer. The personality really comes out.
It seems Fender has since discontinued all models in the Paramount series that were without electronics, which is a shame!

Very nice additions from Fender Paramount. I tested a few of their previous versions and honestly loved the built-in Tunner style and the playability was great... Some models were a bit over laquered to my taste... But I love their headstock new logo

What is the doohicky on the end of the guitar, a tuner or something else?

I'm interested in seeing how this dreadnought sounds for strumming. I played a previous version of a paramount and there was much to be desired. However, these seem to have a much better presentation. I'm hoping that their quality has also improved and the solid woods give a great sound. Im between this and the Inspired by Gibson Epi J45. I played that this week and it was SUPRISINGLY good. almost same price as this PD220D. Opinions are welcomed.

Nice guitar. Looks and sounds very nice. Tested in a shopp. But the 43 mm nut widht does not fits my bigger hands. But this is a personal issue.
For this reason I' am forced to use 46mm acoustic.

Why doesn’t Fender Acoustics all use 1 headstock and the Viking bridge and offer a variety of tonewoods?

Made in China but designed in USA and checked by Fender. You will struggle to find a better acoustic guitar than these at this price range. Fantastic build, attention to detail, all solid build, best acoustic neck I have ever played, and I've been around a long time. To finish, they come with a beautiful hard case .A very honest and informative review by Meg. Go get one, you won't regret it..

just received the po-220e mahogany. Its cheap chinese trash like you would expect. Intonation is flat which is weird. Action was at 6/64ths which is ok for me, but the low e buzzes on 2nd and 3rd frets. The frets literally need to be leveled out the box. I saw an amazon review state this but didn't believe it. My 20 year old Martin DX1 has more leveled frets(except high frets on the body). And it doesn't even play any easier than it does. now I have to pay shipping fees to send it back. Doesn't even sound like mahogany and smells like chemicals. The unsanded sides and rough edges, even the strap peg is on top of plastic with messy edges just makes the whole thing feel like garbage and I don't know what I was thinking . This video really sold me lmao...
